I had a pleasure planning and producing a wedding ...

I had a pleasure planning and producing a wedding for an intimate weddings with about 40 guests. Most of the guests flew in from Asia. And the couple only had 8 weeks to plan their wedding. The big challenge was to find their dream venue.

Luckily, we called Pan Pacific Hotel and Melissa answered the phone right away. She even showed us the venue 1 hour after our initial phone conversation. She moved her meeting to accommodate us. What a customer service.

Since my clients are looking for an outdoor place, their roof top had beautiful mountain, ocean view. And the price was very reasonable. With such location and an iconical landmark, we were extremely excited for working with Pan Pacific.

What impressed us most while planning the wedding was the customer services: from the marketing and sale, to menu tasting, to banquet manager who assists us on the wedding day of. Even after the wedding, all the questions were answered promptly. They offered great advice and the guideline for the concerns we had. The food was very delicious. We constantly heard the guests comment: "Yum, the food was really good through out the reception"

What else can you ask for when it comes to a perfect venue for the dream wedding? My clients and their family and friends were super satisfied with the venue. And as a wedding and event planner, I won't be hesitated to recommend Pan Pacific to anybody.

First step. Asked receptionist where the nearest washroom was located. She gave me the correct answer promptly. I then proceeded to discover the aforementioned washroom. I used the furthest urinal from the door. It was an above average pee in time. Very enjoyable. I turned around, went to the sinks. Washed my hands. With soap. Did not sing Happy birthday to myself while applying the soap. I am too old for that. Went upstairs for dinner. Good meal.

Absolutely loving our stay. We came for 2 nights to celebrate my husband's 64 th birthday and got 2 rooms. One for us and one for our daughter and grandson...
They had a surprise for my husband and gave us an upgraded room without us asking. They sure know how to do customer service well...
Highly recommend

this hotel might have the best view of water front, but am a little disappointed that the cream for the coffee seemed to be expired and there was even clot in there. And when I mentioned this to the 'service one' server. She just said we will let the manager know...the equipment is a little old but still in good condition, staff are professional but not sincere. could be better...

Had a great time at the pan pacific. The pool and hot tub are in a very beautiful location. I was very impressed with the scenery and the quality of the service there. Hot tub is only lukewarm but I'm sure that will be fixed in the future.

Attended a few meetings in a couple of rooms for a networking event. The Pacific rim rooms seat a large number of people comfortably and the speaker could be heard all the way at the back. Would attend more events here.

Best hotel if stayed in hands down. The views were just breathtaking. Stayed in the upper portion of the hotel with Pacific club access. Wow ! I definitely recommend this hotel over all. Location can't be beat , views can't be beat , the food in the club lounge is very fresh and well prepared. Two thumbs up Pan Pacific !

Generally a good hotel. Modern, clean, business-like, things work.

Amazing views from the windows, over the Vancouver Bay. Nice big room, good bed, good working desk.

Check in was a bit lacklustre, but customer service generally did well.

Restaurants, not so much. CAD 25 for a tiny flatbread pizza ('home made'...), promised to be enough for one person, but barely enough for a kid. And maybe I'm too European, and don't want to sound cheap; but it presumptuous and against the idea of tips to already include it upfront in the bill, without the possibility to change it.

The last part made, plus a general lack of atmosphere, made it a 3 for me.

The location of the hotel is excellent, right beside the Canada place and just a short walk from Pacific Center and the Waterfront skytrain. Service was great and the trip went without a hitch. We had arrived a couple of hours earlier than the checkin time and the staff gave us early access to the room. The room itself had a nice view of the convention center and the water off to the north. The room was spotless to start with and the stay was wholly enjoyable.

My daughter and her boyfriend decided to celebrate...

My daughter and her boyfriend decided to celebrate their second anniversary at the Pan Pacific. They booked a room for Friday night. They headed to the hotel after they both finished work. After checking in they went directly to the room at about 8 PM. Now imagine their disgust being given a room which hadn't been cleaned; see the attached photos. It's not like there was a bad cleaning job... the room had literally not been touched since the last guest stayed in it... yuk-o-matic. The couple had to march all the way back to the front desk, asked for another room and was given one and the hotel decided to throw in a complimentary breakfast to make good on their mistake. Now my daughter is only 19 years years old and I feel like the hotel took advantage of her naive and young years by not properly compensating her for such a disgusting experience. Not to mention ruining her anniversary evening where I'm sure she had other plans rather than hanging out at the front desk at the hotel. The hotel did try to compensate her by throwing in a free breakfast the next morning. But as an older, more experienced person who has stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years I find this type of compensation more cheeky and potentially taking advantage of younger guests who don't fully understand the obligations of the hotel, and especially a hotel with the reputation of the Pan Pacific. My daughter is young and earns minimum wage but is a hard worker, works long hours, and had to work for very many hours to afford her stay at the Pan Pacific for her special occasion. IMO the hotel should have treated her better and compensated her fairly. I'm very disappointed with the hotel and won't be recommending it in the future.

The Pan Pacific is a superb hotel, with excellent rooms and service. We were here attending a convention, and had a great time. Staff are friendly and efficient. Construction at the convention center and hotel was a minor nuisance, but it was still an excellent time!

Just love it. Although We we're at the Starbucks, and happen to need to use the washroom, only that my family and I we had a o wait almost an hour to get over the waiting line, after the hour wasted on the line, the mager of the hotel, came and said to the Valet service guy, yo lock the door of the room service, it was just one by the way!! Anyway h said no more service is ten o'clock, people were horrified, so there was my experience with them. We fought , I did so did my niece, he came back and he said after all. Go ahead every one, continue using the bathroom, but be fast! We said thank you and we appreciated that he realized that been nice get people common sense, to say thanks! And thanks are magic words! Everyone was happy! Happy New Year!!

This hotel is clean enough and in a great location. HOWEVER, this is not a five star hotel. It s three stars on its best day. The service was terrible. It took thirty minutes to check in despite having room reservations and only one of our three rooms were ready at checkin time. The second room was ready by 3:30pm and the third room was given to us at 4pm, only after a lot of complaining on our part. Service at the breakfast and bar area was super slow and inattentive during the day time hours. It would take 30 minutes to order and receive a single round of cocktails. Two of the four elevators were not working during our entire three night stay there - you would be waiting for up to 7 minutes on an elevator! Anywhere outside of your room feels like a very busy shopping mall - tons of traffic and tons of children - people loading and unloading from cruise ships. Just don t stay here if your expectation is a 4 or 5 star hotel.

I wish I could give this hotel a 5 star rating. Front desk was not as knowledgeable as I had hoped and didn t suggest I get a reservation for the New Years breakfast which was required. That was one thing I hoped to experience during the visit. There was also a used mint and pen under the bed which was overlooked by the cleaning service. Again, not a 5 star but good all-around experience.

This hotel has THE BEST customer service. Within the first 3 hours of our first nights check-in, we had called front desk 3 times, requesting extra bedding for our toddler, a crib for our 2 month old baby, and if the valet could personal go to our vehicle and retrieve our stroller! Each call was delivered within 15 minutes. Then in the middle of the first night, our toddler puked all over his air bed (which the previous extra bedding request was for). We called again for another delivery of bedding and within 10min it arrived with the lovely gentleman saying "I brought a warm blanket". This Hotel goes above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable. I appreciated how housekeeping took the time to tidy our belongings, including lining up our sons hot wheels. Thank you! We will most definitely be back!

Had a late lunch here today, really quite remarkable view but what in recent memory pops most for me was the Santa Brunch last year.

Santa Keith! Such an amazing experience I went out my way to find out more information about him. The two kids had one of the most interactive Santa experiences I could ever imagine. The level of engagement he had with them both.

I'm actually going to make a point of finding this Santa again as the pictures I took there were better than the staged and artificial smiles at the mall. Thank you Pan Pacific, Santa and the pics are our seasons best.
