This casino was dirty and at the bar charged me $17 for a scotch and water!!
We stayed 4 days here. The staff was great, rooms were nice. No refrigerator in room, unless u pay extra. The casino is nice, restaurants great, and I love that they have a movie theater in the building!!
It a nice hotel and casino a pool and lots of machines to play on and lots of places to eat close to the strip and feemont street totally a place to get away to
I'm a current level President nearing chairman, frequent the place 4 or 5 times a week. Security just asked me to hurry up using the restroom after 5 minutes saying that I was in there for over 30 minutes...so glad we now have a time limit for dropping a deuce! Supervisor was shown my president card, REFUSED to roll back video coverage and apologize. Restroom was first stop, was going to gamble, then have lunch....but now I'll just leave and not be back for AWHILE
The rooms here are really nice they remodeled very nice clean
Nice clean spacious rooms, only problem we had was finding the Feast Buffet, but there is construction/remodelling in progress inside casino. Our valet was very courteous this morning, gave us two bottles of ice water. Very nice. We will stay again.
This Casino was clean but not sanitized like others I have recently visited. The waitresses were very sparce to the smaller amount players. Those betting larger amounts were definitely given more attention. The sad thing being a player playing change shall we say is still able to bet large amounts, just as a person at a dollar machine is able to bet the minimum. I don't think that should be the reason someone is able to have a drink of water.
I was very thankful for the honesty & courtesy of Palace Station's staff. My wedding ring set was returned to me within 2 days of leaving it behind. When I called from the airport, the lady in Housekeeping kept me on the phone while she had someone look in my room & told me right away that it was found & would be mailed to me.
During our three night stay, we enjoyed the restaurants, pool, hot tub, casino, etc.. Although it is an older resort, the areas we used were updated and always clean. The parking deck was very well lighted, with easy access to the hotel/casino.
I really like the breakfast buffet. it has a wide selection of options, like pancakes, eggs, bacon, oatmeal, yogurt, fruits, etc... It is also the first buffet in Las Vegas that I have been to whose dessert bar I actually really enjoyed. They had donuts and cakes that tasted great.
Very nice redesign. Much less smoke in the casino, wider walking paths around the gaming floor. Much nicer than it has ever been.
It's a nice place for a Station Casino friendly people good customer service
Service was great and food was good. Unfortunate mishap with some other guests, but not the fault of the casino
One of the low cost options. Rooms are dated but then you get what you paid for. Rooms are clean though. Access to gym, Jacuzzi, pool, though not as good as 24 hr Fitness it's decent enough. Sport book is nice.
Though the card dealers were super friendly and professionalhow do they get 20s and 21s back to back to back to back?
You won't believe how they have updated. Beautiful rooms and pool. New Feast Buffet. Oyster bar still the best. Slots are not paying off like they did. Poor service, waited and no waitress to be found.
Buffet was nice with friendly associates. Casino game choices in abundance.
Buffet was okay. They need more healthy, vegan, vegetarian options like other Station properties.
Good Buffet for good price too only if u get the boarding card u can get it in reward center which i recommend
nice lil casino not far from the strip....
don't win any money, BUT still nice....
Palace Station has started looking a lot better and there food is amazing
Great hotel to stay at for Las Vegas, good food, good rooms, and close to the strip quick 5 minute drive, and the best Oyster Bar in town.
I've been looking for a good and cheap buffet all around the city. This one isn't perfect but I could recommend it without problem.
The room (in the older part of the hotel) was kept clean and was furnished nicely. It overlooked the alley and we could hear whenever somebody used the dumpsters. It wasn't super noisy but it wasn't peak season. All in all worth the price. The breakfast buffet was good but some things were dry. The tamales and the omelet station were my favorite and the servers were prompt and polite.
Had A Mini Suite, the room was Awesome and the View was absolutely Beautiful.
Fast friendly service
For the price :)
The restaurant was excellent.great service and the food was exceptional.
The oyster bar is AMAZING... OFF THE BEATING PATH BUT NOT TO BE OVERLOOKED..
Very affordable and easy to get to. Check out the oyster house.
Palace Station! This place is both good and bad. Depending on what you are looking for this could be the perfect dream or perfect nightmare. This is a 3 Star Hotel and for decent price you get a decent place.
NEVER get the discounted rooms. Believe me pay the extra $10 or $20 more for a tower room. I think the tower rooms were upgraded around 2006, but the discounted rooms have been there since the beginning of time. A few friends of mine reserved a standard room around 2006 took one look at the Discount rooms and said HELL NO! We upgraded immediately afterwards.
"We love locals" I have a slight gripe with this logo plastered all over the hotel and casino. I feel like a semi-local because I visit Las Vegas every year more often than I visit my parents. I have nothing against locals, but if you want to experience the Las Vegas you see on TV and Movies you DO NOT want the local experience. Let's just say for the tourist don't leave the Strip Area after dark. I am slightly offended, because I don't feel welcome as a visitor. Does a 4 hour drive count as local? Why do they love locals? Coupons anyone?
PROS:
-A great feeling of old Las Vegas. Back in the day discount room, free food, and rewards were flowing everywhere to attract people to gamble. Now in 2014, The Strip doesn't care you pay crazy prices for stay, food, and resort fee. There are no discounts, because they make money through everything now. Palace Station still gives discounts and free rooms.
-Coupons with every stay on food and gambling.
-Oyster Bar! :) If you haven't been here at least once while in Las Vegas, you are crazy. Open 24 hours!
-The best 3 star hotel! For a bargain hunter don't even both with Circus Circus or motels
-Rewards! I got free rooms after one visit from slot play.
-The Grand Cafe is pretty decent for breakfast or late night food.
-Located near the 15 Freeway off Shara Exit you won't get lost. On your final day it's easy for a quit exit.
-Parking. Easy and close by. Just lock your doors and take valuables.
CONS:
-It's not a 4 or 5 star hotel. I usually don't go to 3 star hotels, but if I feel like saving money. Palace station is the best.
-Casino smoke can get pretty intense. First reason it doesn't have the state of the art vents like the larger casinos. A lot of people smoke here. Even in a non-smoking room you will notice it. Get outside whenever you can.
-"We love Locals"
-Poker Room is depressing. I love 2/4 and 3/6 half kill Limit Poker with small blinds. I gave up going here. It's just locals using coupons and getting rewards. It was much better back during the Poker Craze of early 2000.
The pros out way the cons here. I want to give Palace Stations more stars, but I can't because the cons drive me nuts. I will highly recommend this place to anyone on a budget and tell anyone that has high expectation to leave now. At least eat at the Oyster bar that is by far the best feature :).
We had dinner at Boathouse Qsian restaurant. The food was great with very reasonable prices. The service was also excellent. I definitely recommend.
The Palace Station Hotel and Casino has recently gone through an extensive and beautiful remodel. It turned out awesome giving this property an upbeat and modern feel. I had a chance to eat at the new buffet here and it is delicious! PS is located slightly off the strip. They now have a state of the art movie theatre and several new restaurants. Try it out!
We take a bowling league, which consist of 40 plus people, to Palace Station every year and have done so since 1994. We don't bowl when we get there we just make it our vacation. They have the best Oyster Bar and we were so glad when they changed it to 24 hours. We have tried many and no one comes close. The staff, bell men and rooms are great and very clean. This is why we have been going here all these years.
A very pleasant staff the buffet could have been better. Overall nice and clean.
Always fun, good cheap drinks. The oyster bar always has a huge line though.
Palace Station has been upgraded. Lots of new slot machines and people winning all around. Valet area adds a bit of swag to the place and the parking lot is full..... No one can ever say they are bored and it be the truth.
Nice casual spot with wonderful bar and staff - akin to a nicer Orleans
Good price and stay. Cafe here serves good food. Slots and such are also good. Buffet here is the worst in Vegas.
If I can give it no star as a rating, I will! The room smells and the bed, you can feel every spring! But I flew in at 2 am and was only planning to stay for 4 hrs for $14. I guess that was doable. Their buffet is cheap and awesome!
Hotel accommodations were nice. Newly renovated rooms and free nearby parking. My only complaint is with the "guaranteed early check in" option which I paid $15 extra for upon booking. The website shows a guaranteed early check in from 9am through 12pm. When I tried to check in at 9am, the front desk told me that the room was not going to be available until 10am. Later, I asked the front desk to reverse the $15 charge since the room was not ready at 9am. They said that when we checked in at 10am, that that was still considered early. I explained that the fact is that the room was not ready at 9am as guaranteed. I asked to speak with a manager who said the same thing. The charge was still not removed so I will rate my stay appropriately.
Bathrooms could use more attention. Overall nice place
We checked in late Saturday night. As long as you are okay with the smell of stale cigarettes then this is the place for you. The mattress smelled of cigarettes, walls are paper thin, bed is like a rock, rooms are hard to cool off, security is a joke, and best off all the person whom I assume was the manager on duty did not even seam to care why we were checking out early. She did not even speak to me. The gentleman on shift did say we could switch rooms the next day and he could have our room deodorized. The girl behind the counter with the dark curly hair was truly caring and sincere.
Very Clean, friendly staff, nice rooms. Casino is undergoing some kind of construction But overall it's not a problem. I will definitely return
The new remodeling looks great! It was a little confusing navigating around being used to the old layout, but was impressed with how much the construction was blocked off and hidden. You can hardly tell there is work going on
Great place to take family and friends from out of town good gaming good food awesome Buffet
Love this casino. It is a Family type casino. I guess I should say locals go there mostly. They don't rip you off.
He hotel it self and environment is people friendly but some of the employees are rude as hell but its a cool place to stop by and waste a couple of hours.
Went to eat at the buffet. And it has been remodeled beautifully. The food was amazing also.
While eating at the Buffet and after after sipping my tea i noticed a roach in my glass made my entire party and I sick to our stomachs and all the manager Kevin said was sorry and refunded our $103.00 this should be a -* for this dining experience and very poor CUSTOMER SERVICE
It was fun. Clean restrooms. Bingo hall was a blast.
Its ok...its a casino.....there are lots of them everywhere.
Home of the legendary Oyster Bar. Casino is nice and clean.
The room was great. We had a suite. It was odd that there was not phone in the main room. Also it was loud compared to other hotels we have stayed at. Otherwise it was nice.
Checking in was fast. Rooms where clean and comfortable.
Great food very specific with how the chefs cook and add detail to their dishes
We loved it ,it was clean and a great night stay rooms were not to fancy beds were clean not to bad
This place should be shut down. The rooms were disgusting. Complained, was given another room. It was worst. Three words for this place, board of health. This should not be called a hotel.
AYCE sushi at Boathouse. Great experience! Only 17.99. Quality control on the fish was great, the chef cut us some fresh pieces to replace some fishy salmon and hamachi.
Had drinks and bites at BBDs...super service and great drinks! definitely would go again.
As far as station casinos go, this one is definitely at the bottom of the barrel. They've spent a great deal of money renovating it, and it really is sparkling now, compared to other janky station casinos but the location cant be renovated. It continues to draw clientele from the run down area.
The theater was wonderful! The charcoal room was rude!
Ok, one very important thing to understand about this hotel is that the whole hotel is NOT a 3 Star hotel, ONLY the Palace Station Towers are well, 2 1/2 Stars at best considering they don't even have a fridge.
If you book a "good deal" they will still stick you with the additional "resort fee per day" but you will stay in the Courtyard rooms. Now the Courtyard rooms are equal to a rundown nasty motel 6 meth hotel. The TV didn't work, they don't include a room service menu in the room, luckily for me I managed to get myself upgraded to the Towers (a substantial improvement from the ghetto Courtyard).
How I got the upgrade was not glamorous but I have to compliment the Manager on duty who gave me the upgrade because I found and took pictures of BLACK MOLD growing all over the bathroom walls in the Courtyard room I had originally booked.
So the hotel is okay if you book the Towers, but if you book the hidden ghetto hotel in the back it is absolutely filthy. No refund was given either despite the fact that they gave us a room with a health hazard.
Very nice upgrades. Looks similar to Red Rock and Green Valley Ranch casinos on a smaller scale.
His face is come a long way. Very modernized Renovations and expansion. Ultra Modern.Still a locals casino but with a Strip look and feel
I was using the family bathroom trying to help someone change my buddy's colonoscopy bag and I was harassed by a cleaning lady and about 15 security guards were there asking ari33ue www22
Nice place but currently under renovation at the moment. Nice food and average priced also.
