First time visiting this morning because every time I call I get no answer. Even left messages with no reply. Google and the front door said they open at 8:30. I got to the door at 8:45 and a lady walks up to the door with an annoyed look on her face and points at a small sign that's says they open at 9 on Fridays. I'm like oh. She mouths yea rudely and walks away. Ok. I go back to my vehicle. When I finally get in, she talks to a few people. Finally asks me why I'm there I say I'm there to see a career counselor and she looks at me me puzzled like what do you mean. I'm like "I need a job!" Like isn't this career links? She then says I should do an orientation on Monday or Thursday. She says I can do a job search there. I'm like well can't I just do that at home? She says yes, gives me online directions and I leave. Huge waste of my time and a crummy start to my day. People looking for jobs are already not in the best space. If you are going to work with the public have some common decency.

I didn't realize I hadn't posted a review before. I have been in my current full time position for about 18 months, and CareerLink on Ardmore Blvd was instrumental in my securing the job. Following a layoff, I visited CareerLink to see if they had any new information that might help in my job search. At the time, they had 8-10 classes that were free to anyone looking for a job, and they were very helpful. My resume had performed pretty well for me, but as I began to hear about "age-ism" and negative talk about the job market, I knew my resume needed a new look. It surely got it. With CL's instruction, my "functional resume" format garnered about 3 times more calls and interviews. Additional classes about online job searches, drafting compelling cover letters and interviewing were invaluable. Go in there with an open mind and positive attitude, and you will see results!
