If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I've lived in Memphis my whole life. Today, I thought I'd give the place a shot, despite how picky I am with Creole food, and it's quality. Turns out I didn't even get to. I walked in and waited to be greeted. Not one word was said to me, by anyone working there. I made eye contact with a few staff members and still just stood there with no service. After about 10 minutes, 2 ladies walked in and were immediately greeted and seated. I will not go back.

Good parking for location. I had the Creole gumbo which was really good. It had a good mixture of spices with a kick that wasn't overwhelming. The beignets were fantastic. Good atmosphere. Friendly staff.

Not being from Memphis this restaurant had good ratings and I figured with the price I couldn't go wrong. I have a lot of experience in the oyster business and these were frozen oysters you can always tell when every oyster is attached to the shell it served in . They were also dried out looking not freshly shucked oysters, Probably safe to eat but disgusting. The rest of the food seemed average at best in quality. I left and went to arby's.

Ate at Owen Brennan for lunch today. This place is way over rated. I had the Bourbon Street Brisket, there was more fat there than meat. The brisket was swimming in colored sweet water....well it tasted like sweet water.
There ws nothing Cajun or Creole tasting about this entree at all.

On a good note, the Caesar salad and the Key Lime Cheesecake was good.

If you want great or even good food, go somewhere else other than Owen Brennan.

Never ate here before, never got a table.never tasted the food.dont know what the rating is on the food, but I do know what the rating on service and being truthful and considerate. .When I got there,45 minute wait, great no problem!,1hr 20 minutes later,no one came and said it will be longer,i had to go up there and ask 2 times on the table wait, and both times wrong again,2 hrs there and no table ,when i arrived there with my family,i could have easily been told sorry sir we have a lot of people here, and long wait, not 45 minutes, I run a business and if I tell my customers 2 days to fix their car they expect that, including the ones reading this..not 4 days or double the time.lesson in this review for all people, especially in business do what you tell people your gonna or someone else will..

Great brunch...The atmosphere is indescribable...The live jazz was as desirable as the food and Sarah's service was the best...Sunday brunch was well worth the wait; even if I lost part of my party

This is one of the only places to get authentic Cajun and creole food. Always great quality service and the atmosphere is a touch of Bourbon street. The owner takes great pride in making sure your entertained by walking about and introducing himself. Often times he will give a quick intro of the restaurant and it s history. Not many owners take this much time to build relationships and show such interest. Owens should be on everyone s list of places to visit on occasion.

The food was excellent, the service was good but it seemed too cold in the sunroom where we played Bridge. Too many people were using the door to go smoke on the patio. If there was a thermostat to control the heat and air it would be excellent!

They were not prepared today at lunchtime, December 18th. They told me there was a 20-25 minute wait. After waiting for an hour I checked to see how much longer and I noticed there were several empty tables. I asked if we could sit down and they told me the kitchen was backed up. The girl with straight brown hair was not at all nice about it. We ended up leaving.

Ambiance is okay. Food for dinner is overpriced for the very average tasting food you get here. Better steaks at ruth chris a block or so away. Bread pudding is terrible. Red fish was overcooked. The fried crawfish tails were the best part, and that was the first thing we ordered. It was all downhill from there. The brownie dessert is okay, but very decadent.

Super expensive brunch for fancy eaters. I just ate smoked salmon. They will seat you based on appearance. (Hide the not so good looking people on the side) I've noticed that. So but anyways, that's the price for a non pretentious fancy place. They truly are fancy and everything tastes more than amazing. So pay up.

Brunch on Sunday! I never usually attend a brunch on Sunday where they have a buffet instead of an open and set menu... However, I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The restaurant provides a New Orleans setting with low lighting to set the ambience. The bartenders, wait staff and even the men behind some of the catering stations we polite friendly and very accommodating. The food was delicious and my drinks remainded full. Did I mention they had a live jazz player playing the saxaphone?

Recently my husband and I experienced our first visit to Owen Brennan's. We previewed the menu before leaving home just so we wouldn't take all night deciding what to order. We started with Moscato wine which was absolutely superb. My husband ordered the catfish Boudreaux. He could not stop raving about how good it was. I had the royal salmon filet with sauteed spinach and dirty rice. It was very tasty and well seasoned. The overall atmosphere was inviting and comfortable. I would be amiss, if I did not mention our server Sarah. She was simply awesome taking care of our every need from start to finish. Yes, this was our first but definitely NOT our last visit. See you soon OB and Sarah too!
