Don't let the shopping plaza location scare you away - this is excellent food! Delicious cajun/creole menu brings the flavors of Louisiana to Memphis. I have eaten here several times as a visitor to the city and every dish has been beautifully prepared and I have never left hungry. Quite the opposite, in fact. Their desserts sound wonderful, but I have yet to pace myself sufficiently to leave room to try one. Maybe next time I will start with dessert - key lime parfait, anyone?

Sunday brunch was amazing. Shorty's omelets were amazing. I ordered the crawfish...my stomach was not big enough to try everything.

Only gave four stars since I feel for the price of $40/person, coffee should be included.

The food was delicious however the waiter was very attentive - we had to ask for a refill - but overall- my son is a St.Jude patient and the place had enough room where we were comfortable for his will chair .

This was our second stop at Owen Brennan's. Service was slow and the food was subpar. We sat at the bar and listened to the staff complain about work conditions and mock other employees. I had a seafood pasta dish. The seafood was overcooked the sauce was flat. My wife had the stuffed shrimp over pasta again the pasta sauce was flat and the shrimp stuffing was good but a tad salty. Neither of use are more than half of the food. I give this place two stars instead of one because on a prior visit the oysters were very good.

First visit, but not last. We had a great experience. Went for the Sunday Brunch. It's a la carte right now bc of COVID-19. Really enjoyed the beignets and jambalaya (made with pasta here BTW). The live music was enjoyable and our waiter, Tiger, was excellent.

Scrumptious food!!

Scrumptious food!!
One of the best Cajun restaurants in Memphis!
They have special item on the menu every day of the week and it would be less priced when compared to rest of the days.
We went for Friday lunch and Red fish Perez was the special for that day. So, I thought I would try their special of the day. I don t regret this decision!

If you are a fish person, this is a Must place to visit in Memphis!
The ambience was great with very good service!

Owen Brennan's is an offshoot of the Brennan's franchise that's been in New Orleans for a very very long time the food here is authentic tasty portioned properly and served quickly in a relatively casual yet eclectic environment. if you are looking for a taste of New Orleans north of interstate 40 this is the place to go. I make it a point to eat at Owen brunnens every time I am in Memphis and I only live 80 miles from New Orleans

Great atmosphere inspired by New Orleans. The bar is quite extensive work great selections of whisky and liquors. The jumalaya pasta is great. Good portion of pasta with a rich sauce and generous amounts of chicken, sausage, and crawfish. I really enjoyed the gumbo. It's a rich thick consistency. Great portion of crawfish and shrimp over rice. Is highly recommend this for a good meal in the area

Today was my 1st time going to Owen Brennan, and I must say it was an experience. First off, I went to get my food and there where no plates, which is fine I understand things happen but I ask one of the cooks where could I find a plate and he replied check out front I did I came back and someone else was telling him there weren t any plates and he walked off saying i don t have time for this so at this point I was still being understanding because I understand things happen and it can be very frustrating doing your job as well as someone else. They bring a few plates out and I must say EVERYTHING looked really good I didn t know where to start so I said I ll just get a little of this and that, that way I can try everything lol so I decided to try 1 piece of chicken, 1 piece of fish, some pasta and everything was really good BUT when biting my chicken it was very blood and I COMPLETELY LOST MY APPETITE. I asked the server for a manager and he replied is there anything I could help you with and I showed him the chicken, 15 minutes later the manager came and this is how our conversation went:
Manager: hi ma am, what s the problem
Me: hello sir, I bit into my chicken and it was bloody I m just making you aware of this
Manager: oh well, it s just a little vain
Me: sir this isn t a little vain this meat is bloody and all the ladies that I was sitting with agreed
Me: sir so would you eat this
Manager: yes I would
Me: looking in disbelief, sir you are lying
Manager: well ma am can I get u some more chicken
Me: no thank you I ve lost my appetite
At this point I didn t know what to do cause the manager just walked off. Later the waiter came back and said your ok I took care of your bill. Now I m confused at this point because the manager HE NEVER APOLOGIZE nor CAME BACK. I m a very understanding person I ALWAYS treat others as I would like to be treated and I just felt as if he thought I wasn t trying to pay for my meal but this is just MY thought of him. I didn t mind paying because I did eat half my piece of fish which by the way was really good as well as the pasta. Moral is today I was very disappointed in the outcome of the manager had he apologized this would ve been a very different review but oh well, for now I rather not. Maybe I ll return in the future. Sorry for the essay lol

I went there for Father's Day brunch 2019. The place is a beautiful place. Nice decor and nice bar. The staff was extremely nice. The selection of food, it was a pretty decent spread. I ran across a couple of Hotel pans (chafing dishes) that contained pasta and meats respectively. They were ice cold. The Sterno fuel hat burnt out, and obviously no one had checked it for some time. The highlight of the brunch were the two omelette makers. They have the skill Showmanship cooking , but I would love to consult with them on how to make a proper omelette. I won't go into much detail because that would take some time. I could use about 2 hours of my culinary expertise on the art of omelets and they would be world class.. Overall, I enjoyed the brunch and I would recommend. But those omelettes need some serious work.

Late lunch. Service for 1. Sat at bar. Thankful for the big glass of Honig SB...not a fan of the ham and sausage in my shrimp and grits though. Bread did not make it to me till 1/2 way through my meal. Colder environment than I am used to especially in a creole atmosphere.

I wish I could have given a 2+ or -3. The service was ok. The place looked great on the inside. But the food was not that good. I've been all over America tasting different foods and I can honestly say it was not what I expected. My salmon was hella salty. No need to ad salt to salmon. Salmon is naturally salty. The prices for the taste didn't match up.

I have frequently been to Owen Brennan s for Sunday Brunch. Delicious. A huge variety. They have several stations - salad station, continental breakfast station, entree station, dessert station plus! You can go strictly Cajun cuisine which is their specialty or keep your brunch totally breakfast food. Always a great jazz band on Sunday. Very clean, awesome service.

Sunday brunch a close number #1 in the south, any other night dinner okay...THE GOOD... modish buffet style Sunday brunch selections were AWESOME with a chef for omelettes and waffles, delightful interactive brunch staff... THE BAD... waitresses/waiters at the table stuffy/entitled, brunch price about $9 too high, but who really cares about $9, the week night dinner over priced, the wait time for seats is FOREVER, but you can purchase a drink and sit at the bar while you wait, limited parking on Sundays. Definitely return for the Sunday brunch only.

Someday, I'll learn not to do seafood on a Monday. The crab cake appetizer tasted freezer burned. The shrimp and grits were way too salty, probably to hide the Frozen shrimp taste. Service was very friendly. Next time I'm in town will try it again, on any other day than Monday.

Hostess weren't attentive, they lied about calling for table ready. The vegetable selection. Overall service, quality of food and presentation did not meet the expectation of a presumed high priced restaurant. I am disappointed. 1 star!
