Awesome Brunch!!! Tab w as around $100 for party of two. But well worth it. Plus they have a live jazz band.
Classic New Orleans favorites in an upscale atmosphere. Wonderful Jazz Brunch on Sundays.
Perfect southern food. The team is extraordinary and always supportive. Even with big groups friendly service and good recommendations. Every time again.
Went for an surprise engagement. Great atmosphere, food was good and pricey.
Don't let the shopping plaza location scare you away - this is excellent food! Delicious cajun/creole menu brings the flavors of Louisiana to Memphis. I have eaten here several times as a visitor to the city and every dish has been beautifully prepared and I have never left hungry. Quite the opposite, in fact. Their desserts sound wonderful, but I have yet to pace myself sufficiently to leave room to try one. Maybe next time I will start with dessert - key lime parfait, anyone?
Love the atmosphere. Shorty cooks great omelettes, you have to try them.
I've always liked Owen Brennan's. There were 16 of us and everything was great. Tiger our waiter did a great job. Food and atmosphere excellent
Sunday brunch was amazing. Shorty's omelets were amazing. I ordered the crawfish...my stomach was not big enough to try everything.
Only gave four stars since I feel for the price of $40/person, coffee should be included.
Our waiter Josh was very attentive and knowledgeable. I had the Red Fish Perez and it was awesome!
The Sunday brunch here is worth your time, but be sure to make a reservation.
The shrimp and grits are amazing. The beignets were okay. However, the service was extremely slow.
It was simply amazing The food was delicious and the service was great.. The portion was enough for two people.. I can't wait to see what their Sunday brunch is like..
I highly recommend you go here as this place is definitely an adventure and I talk about restaurant. It s not very expensive and the food is really good
Brennan's is a fabulous restaurant. The food is consistantly good. I highly reccomend Brennan's.
The food was delicious however the waiter was very attentive - we had to ask for a refill - but overall- my son is a St.Jude patient and the place had enough room where we were comfortable for his will chair .
This was our second stop at Owen Brennan's. Service was slow and the food was subpar. We sat at the bar and listened to the staff complain about work conditions and mock other employees. I had a seafood pasta dish. The seafood was overcooked the sauce was flat. My wife had the stuffed shrimp over pasta again the pasta sauce was flat and the shrimp stuffing was good but a tad salty. Neither of use are more than half of the food. I give this place two stars instead of one because on a prior visit the oysters were very good.
My 1st experience was very good with A birthday party
It was pretty good. Appetizers were outstanding. Had shrimp and grits. Would order it again. Only problem I had was it was too dark in the restaurant. Turn up the lights.
First visit, but not last. We had a great experience. Went for the Sunday Brunch. It's a la carte right now bc of COVID-19. Really enjoyed the beignets and jambalaya (made with pasta here BTW). The live music was enjoyable and our waiter, Tiger, was excellent.
Scrumptious food!!
One of the best Cajun restaurants in Memphis!
They have special item on the menu every day of the week and it would be less priced when compared to rest of the days.
We went for Friday lunch and Red fish Perez was the special for that day. So, I thought I would try their special of the day. I don t regret this decision!
If you are a fish person, this is a Must place to visit in Memphis!
The ambience was great with very good service!
Owen Brennan's is an offshoot of the Brennan's franchise that's been in New Orleans for a very very long time the food here is authentic tasty portioned properly and served quickly in a relatively casual yet eclectic environment. if you are looking for a taste of New Orleans north of interstate 40 this is the place to go. I make it a point to eat at Owen brunnens every time I am in Memphis and I only live 80 miles from New Orleans
Great food and atmosphere.
Our waitress Audrey is excellent!!?
Not good. In the past it was excellent. Poor customer service as welll. Thought it was part of th Louisiana folks.
Great atmosphere inspired by New Orleans. The bar is quite extensive work great selections of whisky and liquors. The jumalaya pasta is great. Good portion of pasta with a rich sauce and generous amounts of chicken, sausage, and crawfish. I really enjoyed the gumbo. It's a rich thick consistency. Great portion of crawfish and shrimp over rice. Is highly recommend this for a good meal in the area
Great service. Great food. A little pricey for lunch but well worth it. I'd do it again.
The service was terrible and the waiter was very confused and slow.
True Cajun cuisine that is out of this world good. Expensive, but worth it.
Today was my 1st time going to Owen Brennan, and I must say it was an experience. First off, I went to get my food and there where no plates, which is fine I understand things happen but I ask one of the cooks where could I find a plate and he replied check out front I did I came back and someone else was telling him there weren t any plates and he walked off saying i don t have time for this so at this point I was still being understanding because I understand things happen and it can be very frustrating doing your job as well as someone else. They bring a few plates out and I must say EVERYTHING looked really good I didn t know where to start so I said I ll just get a little of this and that, that way I can try everything lol so I decided to try 1 piece of chicken, 1 piece of fish, some pasta and everything was really good BUT when biting my chicken it was very blood and I COMPLETELY LOST MY APPETITE. I asked the server for a manager and he replied is there anything I could help you with and I showed him the chicken, 15 minutes later the manager came and this is how our conversation went:
Manager: hi ma am, what s the problem
Me: hello sir, I bit into my chicken and it was bloody I m just making you aware of this
Manager: oh well, it s just a little vain
Me: sir this isn t a little vain this meat is bloody and all the ladies that I was sitting with agreed
Me: sir so would you eat this
Manager: yes I would
Me: looking in disbelief, sir you are lying
Manager: well ma am can I get u some more chicken
Me: no thank you I ve lost my appetite
At this point I didn t know what to do cause the manager just walked off. Later the waiter came back and said your ok I took care of your bill. Now I m confused at this point because the manager HE NEVER APOLOGIZE nor CAME BACK. I m a very understanding person I ALWAYS treat others as I would like to be treated and I just felt as if he thought I wasn t trying to pay for my meal but this is just MY thought of him. I didn t mind paying because I did eat half my piece of fish which by the way was really good as well as the pasta. Moral is today I was very disappointed in the outcome of the manager had he apologized this would ve been a very different review but oh well, for now I rather not. Maybe I ll return in the future. Sorry for the essay lol
Delicious nicely spiced foods. Can Jun dishes are wonderful.
Food very mediocre! I don t mind upscale prices, but please make the food good enough so people won t feel ripped off!
Good food, great service especially after accommodating my party of 16 (without charging crew for a private room). Definitely will be back.
I went there for Father's Day brunch 2019. The place is a beautiful place. Nice decor and nice bar. The staff was extremely nice. The selection of food, it was a pretty decent spread. I ran across a couple of Hotel pans (chafing dishes) that contained pasta and meats respectively. They were ice cold. The Sterno fuel hat burnt out, and obviously no one had checked it for some time. The highlight of the brunch were the two omelette makers. They have the skill Showmanship cooking , but I would love to consult with them on how to make a proper omelette. I won't go into much detail because that would take some time. I could use about 2 hours of my culinary expertise on the art of omelets and they would be world class.. Overall, I enjoyed the brunch and I would recommend. But those omelettes need some serious work.
Had an excellent meal here. The menu has something for just about every Cajun palate. I'm told that it's as close to NOLA that you can get. The selection of spirits is extensive.
Brunch is so Amazing! I love to visit here with friends and family. The options are endless! The crawfish cream sauce is life!
Surprisingly excellent Cajun food in Memphis! You won't be disappointed.
Our waiter, Gibbs provided exceptional service. The food was delicious and delivered timely to our table. I recommend the Shorty Special, you will not be disappointed
Due to the pandemic, the service and food is not up to par. My food was cold and did not taste good.
The food was delicious!! Great atmosphere and great service!
Our food was Amazing and the service was great. We sat on the patio and it was so nice. We would highly recommend it!!
The atmosphere is relaxing & enjoyable. The food is delicious, especially the omelets,(Chef Robert Fisher ) will hook you up!!!!!!
Staff was nice, the restaurant atmosphere was great . The food and drinks were very good.
Owen Brennan's is our go to for Fantastic Cajun Food!!!!! Gumbo is the Best and Oysters on the Half Shell hit the spot!!!!
Didn't like something I ordered, my waitress took it off by bill without me saying a word. Service and all other parts of my meal were awesome.
Good food. Service today was pretty good. My pineapple juice tasted a little funny. Bananas Foster and Creme Brulee were tasty
Great atmosphere. Very nice place to grab a glass of wine, a nice bourbon, or possibly a Martini. New Orleans themed restaurant with great food. Best Brunch in town. Enjoy!
This was our first time doing brunch and boy was it an experience. The waitress Sarah was A-1 and very punctual. The food was nothing short of amazing. Will definitely be back!!!
I was able enjoy Cajun cuisine. It has been awhile.
Late lunch. Service for 1. Sat at bar. Thankful for the big glass of Honig SB...not a fan of the ham and sausage in my shrimp and grits though. Bread did not make it to me till 1/2 way through my meal. Colder environment than I am used to especially in a creole atmosphere.
Great Dinning experience overall. Good food nice atmosphere and friendly professional and knowledgeable people. I recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
The crab cakes were excellent. The Eggs Benedict was marvelous; perfectly poached eggs on top of Canadian bacon and slightly toasted English muffin. Would have loved more Hollandaise sauce.
Great food for brunch. I can do without the "show" from the guy making the omelettes.
Food was delicious, service Great, and music on points
I wish I could have given a 2+ or -3. The service was ok. The place looked great on the inside. But the food was not that good. I've been all over America tasting different foods and I can honestly say it was not what I expected. My salmon was hella salty. No need to ad salt to salmon. Salmon is naturally salty. The prices for the taste didn't match up.
I have frequently been to Owen Brennan s for Sunday Brunch. Delicious. A huge variety. They have several stations - salad station, continental breakfast station, entree station, dessert station plus! You can go strictly Cajun cuisine which is their specialty or keep your brunch totally breakfast food. Always a great jazz band on Sunday. Very clean, awesome service.
Sunday brunch a close number #1 in the south, any other night dinner okay...THE GOOD... modish buffet style Sunday brunch selections were AWESOME with a chef for omelettes and waffles, delightful interactive brunch staff... THE BAD... waitresses/waiters at the table stuffy/entitled, brunch price about $9 too high, but who really cares about $9, the week night dinner over priced, the wait time for seats is FOREVER, but you can purchase a drink and sit at the bar while you wait, limited parking on Sundays. Definitely return for the Sunday brunch only.
Someday, I'll learn not to do seafood on a Monday. The crab cake appetizer tasted freezer burned. The shrimp and grits were way too salty, probably to hide the Frozen shrimp taste. Service was very friendly. Next time I'm in town will try it again, on any other day than Monday.
Hostess weren't attentive, they lied about calling for table ready. The vegetable selection. Overall service, quality of food and presentation did not meet the expectation of a presumed high priced restaurant. I am disappointed. 1 star!
The service was nothing short of AMAZING ! Our waiter Quade didn t miss a beat when it came to refills and boxing our food . If you re looking for a Nice relaxing place to have a great meal this is definitely the place for you ..
Awesome New Orleans style Cajun food. Fine dining experience with cuisine to match. I had the oysters and the gumbo, both were spectacular.
