Great infrastructure but awful management.

Great infrastructure but awful management.

FACILITIES: Good An observation deck with large glass windows keeps you comfortably cool and dry when you attend to watch a competition.

The men's changing rooms do have the usual, including the dryer for swimsuits.

SERVICE: The people in front of the lobby do not seem to be trained in customer satisfaction, they just stick to rules even if they don't make sense and that's BAD! (Think of nazis who don't follow common sense...). In my case we lived through this by not bringing cash to buy snacks. Management decided to cover the vending machines to FORCE guests into buying food from the people who brought food for the ongoing competition. I would agree with helping the ongoing event, but they didn't accept credit/debit cards and we didn't have cash. There's is also NO ATM in around 2 miles, so we had to drive to get food. ( )

Yes, this might sound like a rant but I tried to keep it impartial.

Prices are reasonable. The kids had a great time in the river pool and on the slide. Olympic size inside pool was impressive but be aware there is a divider in the middle of the pool There was more shade than at Amazon pool but is not nearly enough grassy areas. The bleachers were more of hindrance that help. They need to be on wheels and movable so the what grass is there is usable. No snack bar was a surprise and lastly the zipline was broken. Information such as that should be posted on the website. The zipline is reason we drove up from Eugene to go to Osborn. The online pictures make the outside look much bigger than it really is. All-in-all, I will take the kids back there, but I will make sure the Zipline is working, first.

I just took my 5.5 month old there for toddler time, for the first time. We had a lot of fun. The pool is a great temperature, and the facilities are clean. Everything is well-labeled, and the staff was very friendly. We will undoubtedly make this a weekly trip.

Beautiful facility but the customer service is non existent. My mother in law called on Monday to confirm hours for toddler time swim and we were told it started at 11am and when we showed up today at 11am, the girl at the front counter was unapologetic about the misinformation we received from someone at their facility and stated, "it starts at 11:30, it always starts at 11:30". I understand that things get mixed up but she didnt have to talk to us the way she did and it was our FIRST time going to this particular aquatic center. Anyone with children would understand how waiting an extra 30 plus minutes with children under 5 is difficult.

Constant closures. I understand that it's a community pool but it feels like every other week there is an event that involves closing the pool to the public for several days. I enjoy swimming laps there but finding gaps in my own schedule and breaks in their operating hours where they aren't closed or catering an event has been frustrating.

I also think the pool itself could benefit from better cleaning. I often find myself trying to evade clumps of hair and discarded bandaids that float around in the lap areas.

Only went here because my brother longed to swim. Within the first 10 minutes of being there, they whistle everybody out of the pool. There was some gross thing someone found, so that's gross. The zip line is okay.

This pool is great! I've been here with large groups several times. I've mostly gone with younger children (around ages 7-9) and they loved it. I was a little hesitant to take a group of middle schoolers, but they had a blast too! They have a lot of different things that were great for a lot of different ages. The big pool outside has "beach access" entrance (it gradually declines) with a bunch of small water features that younger kids really enjoy. There is a big waterslide and lazy river connected to that pool. There is a lap pool outside, which half was set up for rec swim with floaties and a basketball hoop. There are two lap pools inside that are actually connected (there's a middle divider between them). One is deeper and was set up with 2 diving board (one higher), rock walls, a zipline (they told us that was open on the weekends), and a rope swing (which I'm assuming is also open on the weekends). Both pools had some lanes open for lap swimming and some lanes open for rec swim.

We waited in line for a few minutes before rec swim or open swim time. A man came out to talk to everyone (I'm guessing the manager?). He thanked us for our patience and for coming to the pool and reminded everyone to sunscreen and drink water. He let people know that they had sunscreen available if we forgot and that there was a snack bar with a few things to help with hydration (besides the water fountains).

The hours are wrong and misleading. I drive 1 hour and wanted to swim with my kids and they were very upset and disappointed when they were not open like they said and we were not allowed to swim. It broke my kids heart and ruined our day. Never coming back!!

This place is very fun to go to. They have a low dive and high dive that are almost always open, but if they have the rock wall open, low dive is closed. The zip line is on the high dive so obviously the high dive will be closed. All that is in the deep cold pool which i believe is 13ft. There s the cold pool which spans from 3.5 feet to 6 feet and basketball hoops. You can bring in inner tubes and mats to the cold pool, but not the warm pool. In the warm pool, it s where the little kids are and you should not bring anything in. In the summer, they have otter beach open which is the outdoor pool. They have little kid attractions, a whirl pool with jets, water slide, lap swim, and regular pool. The slide is a big fun even for little kids. Once a month on Fridays, they have a parents night out with a movie, snacks, games, and open swim. To clarify, they re open swim times vary, so it s best to call ahead. So it s angering that people keep saying they re coming to find out it s not open. They re front desk is open at whenever it s says. Ok? They have great service and very friendly people. Definite 5 Star!

For this area in Oregon, this is as big and fun a pool as you get!

It is a busy day, yet all seems clean and well cared for.

You can use your own lock on the lockers in the changing rooms. There are concessions for snacks/ ice cream, but you are also welcome to bring your own food and drink (no glass).

There is a large water slide, many water features in the leisure pool and open space for kids to play in the two indoor pools (check the pool schedule online for when indoor pools are available).

The staff are always friendly and helpful. The showers, lockers, and pool are well maintained given the amount of traffic and use by the community. We are fortunate to live in a community with such a great pool. Particularly concerning kids: activities and lessons, equipment and design, and overall experience are exceptional. My family has been enjoying this pool for 25 years and it has improved over time.

I have been swimming there 5 days a week for the last four months because of a leg injury. The staff have been unfailingly helpful and pleasant, the private swim lessons were excellent, and the facility is clean and well-maintained despite the large volume of traffic. I have watched people of all ages and abilities using and enjoying the pools. Osborn probably serves the largest cross-section of the City's population than any other public facility except the library. What a terrific resource at a very reasonable price!

We go here every summer for my daughter's birthday. There is enough variety of things to do to make it great for a family or group of various ages to have a great time. It is clean, the life guards are actively watching over the people and the changing area is large. We love it and now go here instead of one of the pools in Eugene. The only things I would like to see is more bathroom stalls in the changing area and some concessions. We are always hungry after swimming.

Four separate pools. Two inside and two outside. Large Inside pools for lap swimming, diving boards, climbing wall. Small inside pool is warmer and shallow for little swimmers. Outside pool split for lap swimming and play. Pool basketball, floaties available. Other pool has water slide, lazy river, and shallow area with splash toys, water features, and play structures, including two smaller slides. Bleacher seating inside, poolside seating outside with loads of lounge chairs, umbrellas, or bleachers. Dressing rooms, showers, restrooms decently clean. Vending machines available, and limited snacks for sale at the Lunch Box snack area. Small enough to keep an eye on kids, but big enough to keep them entertained for hours.

We were camping at a race event near by that didn t have showers on site. Staff at the front desk were brisk, bordering on rude. They charged us full entrance fee for a shower 15 minutes before closing and the locker room smelled like raw sewage. Showers and locker room needed a good cleaning. Pool looked nice though.

Came to the pool to have fun with my kids. And they had a dog day which was crazy and made it even more fun for my girls. Just remember to bring food and drinks. Over all it was 18$ for three kids and myself. and to keep them busy for any length of time is worth it weight in gold.

Once at the outdoor otter beach, a great time. However, the quality of the customer service at the front desk was horrendous. We got there at 10:30 on a Saturday. The girl asked if we were going to the lessons. No, to the outdoor area. She replied it opened at 11:30. We told her we were confused because we had called a couple days earlier and were told OAC opened at 10:30. Okay, then we will just stay in the indoor pool until outdoors opened. She said no p9ols were open for us, they were just opened for lessons until 11:30 and started scolding us for not knowing this. So we said, fine, we will come back. We come back at 11:24 and are greeted by another girl with a, "what's up." She tells us we can't pay to get in for 6 minutes (that is how I know it was 11:24). So we wait around and then have to wait in line behind at least 8 others who walked in right at 11:30. Come on.
