My dog came down with a terrible liver infection and other vet offices could not help. We were recommended here and they had rehabilitated her back to decent health. We had a great experience until after my dog was sent home for outpatient care. The feeding tube they gave us kept falling apart. Eventually they started charging us for the pieces that kept breaking and requiring us to bring the dog back in. This happened every few days. Customer service has been poor. Our financing plans were not offered to us properly and the girls at the counter would pick whatever one they felt like and we had to call and get them changed multiple times. Now we're onto a handful of medications for the dog. When you call their pharmacy they say the meds will be refilled in 24hrs. Well that doesn't happen. Every med refill I had to call in i also had to call back multiple times. I would receive my medicine 2-3 days after they said i would. So we got our med scripts sent to our local pharmacy Now we've run into an issue where my dog has been missing a vital antibiotic for a week. Every day we've called for the script refill to be called over which is a 5 min phone call tops. Each person we've talked to has said they have it in the system, and that they'll rush it and call "right now". Went through this exact scenario again this morning and my dog still has no medicine. Once again, great experience with the Doctors themselves. Terrible with everything else.

Terrible experience. My dog went there for the first time since we are new to the area. The vet didn t check her eyes, ears, nose, heart, breathing, legs....just gave her shots, one that she didn t need nor was it requested, or even mentioned before hand, and took bloodwork for teeth cleaning. No charges were explained upfront and they charged me $318. I didn t even get a very basic checkup for my dog or a rabies certificate and tag for her collar. And they took her out of the room to clip her nails - which they charged me for. I ve never had such a cold, uncaring veterinary experience.

Our cat was not responding very well from to meds that we were getting from our primary vet. She recommended two vets, we chose OP because it was closer and they had a icu and figured that being in OP would give great care, I was wrong. After they took our cat in the building they contacted us to let us know what they would be doing and they would call us to let us know if we could leave then come back, they never called so we just sat there for 5 hours. When we called all they said was "whoops". When they came up with their diagnosis it was only to get rest and gave us more meds, which our original dr did and did it nothing. They did not giver her fluids even though she was dehydrated and we told them she hadn't eaten in days. When the visit was complete they kept forgetting to bring out, so we were just sitting and waiting for anther hour before we had to call for the 3rd time to have them bring our animal out. $530 for a terrible experience and for them to do nothing to care for our animal. Just because your animal hospital is in a nice place and is big and seems good doesn't always mean its the right place to go. These people only care about money and turn and burn. Would not recommend at all, stay away if you want quality care for your animals.

Great customer service. Sat in lobby less than 5 minutes before being called to exam room. Techs and vets were great with my dog. I went there for the initial blood donor screening. The Dr did an exam and a tech brought my dog back to get urine and blood sample. Painless and fast

Cost $600 to get quills removed from dogs face. Only to find out a week later they missed one and would have to pay again to get it removed. You would think they would just finish the original job at no cost, especially with everything going on in the world today.

I cannot say enough about the care, compassion and professionalism by every vet, vet tech and vet tech assistant there. They all treated my dog Squiggy as if he was their own. So grateful they do what they do and the time and energy they have.

The staff was amazing! Everyone was very caring and understanding about my concern for my pet. They ever allowed me to see my dog post surgery through video camera since we have the virus situation. Thank you to everyone there specially Dr DiFillipo, Elizabeth, Eric, Ann, Carly! I knew my dog was in great hands

I will admit that the staff was kind. We had to put down our beloved pet, because we did not have $5000.00 in hand at 2 am on a Saturday , had his unfortunate injuries happen on a Monday our own vet would have done everything possible to save his life first and then taken our money second..which we'd pay any amount to save his life. I do not expect not to pay , like I said no amount of money would prevent us from having him in our lives, it's heartbreaking he will be missed beyond words. We need a veterinarian hospital that cares about our pets first, then our money. It seems heartless to allow an animal to die because some of us don't have $5000.00 at the very moment our pet needs emergency care. We could have come up with it, our own vet would have saved him, but had no option but to put him down because he wouldn't have survived if we took him home & waited until our vet could give him treatment. It's definitely a business first, then a caring compassionate hospital. I will forever be haunted by the experience my family received from this establishment.

We took our dog there for some testing and he had to be put under anesthesia, when he came out, he was a little woozy. Took him home he ate, but as the day and into the night came, something wasn't right he was pacing and whining and seem to be in pain. Next am. I called the facility and told him what was going on they said to call our vet. Needless to say when everything was done and over we ended putting our sweet boy down , that late afternoon, we don't know to this day what went wrong we did notified, the surgeon he was dumbfounded what went wrong. They were very supported and professional but not sure if I would take another dog there !!!!!!,

I could not imagine taking my beloved furry family any place but this clinic. The care my husky received over 2 years ago extended his life to 15.5 years. When it was time to let go on Sept 26 2017 ...I along with my Andy were treated with compassion and dignity. Last night Jan 11 2018 my almost 15 year husky also passed and once again the staff was beyond helpful.. meeting us at the door with a gurney and helping in every way possible. It was both times the best possible of a sad scenario. I highly recommend the facility to everyone who loves their furry family members. Thank you from my heart for wonderful and timely care and procedures!!

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I'VE BEEN GOING TO THE SAME VET FOR 12 YEARS.. I'VE RECENTLY RESCUED A PARVO PUPPY WHO HAS BEEN HOSPITALIZED THREE TIMES IN THE THREE WEEKS THAT I'VE HAD HIM. WE MET WITH DR. HEDGES YESTERDAY AND HAD AN IMMEDIATE DIAGNOSIS!!! HOW DID MY VET MISS IT THREE TIMES??? WHEN I LOOKED UP HIS CONDITION ONLINE, HE MET ALL 4 OF THE CRITERIA AND I'M A TEACHER NOT A VET!!! SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS WASTED AT HIS ORIGINAL VET AND THE POOR PUPPY GOING THROUGH UNNECESSARY TURMOIL WHEN HE ALREADY HAD A HORRIFIC SITUATION WHEN FOUND ON THE STREETS IN OKLAHOMA. THANK GOSH FOR ORCHARD PARK FOR LITERALLY SAVING HIM!!! I PLAN ON TRYING TO GET HIM IN AS A NEW PATIENT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!! THEY HAVE THE REPUTATION AS BEING THE "BEST" FOR A REASON!! AND EVERY STAFF MEMBER THAT I CAME IN CONTACT WITH HAD SO MUCH COMPASSION AND LOVE TOWARDS MY VINNY AND MYSELF!!! TRULY ANGELS!!!!

Expensive, but very thorough, caring, and attentive staff. Our 15 lb Shorky ate a 8 oz Heshey chocolate bar. We called and they gave us advice on what to try before bringing him in. We had to end up bringingv him to the facility at 10 pm. They were very informative and gave us options. They were expensive, but the facility was amazing, staff also let us go back and sit with him while our dog was detoxing. Very caring staff. Felt almost like a real hospital, but for pets. I would recommend this place to my friends and family, but i do emphasize they are expensive.

Amazing experience!!! We took our fur baby there on a emergency basis for seizures. They were so knowledgeable and truly helped us get through a horrible time. They were amazing with our fur baby and we are honestly thinking in transferring our animals to their care. We would highly recommend others to bring their fur babies to Orchard Park Animal Hospital!!!

I took my indoor/outdoor cat into Orchard Park Vet...

I took my indoor/outdoor cat into Orchard Park Vet clinic around 8:00pm a couple of weeks ago after said cat came home favoring one of her back legs.
The leg was hard from the first to second joint, and very warm to the touch, and kitty wasn t able to put any weight on it.
After calling to get their opinion (could I wait until morning), I motored down and waited about half an hour in the car for the vet techs to come out and ferry Ms Everdeen inside.
The exam was quick and seemingly efficient, and I was called back straight away with a couple options for antibiotic treatment.
I opted for the shot, paid over the phone, and Everdeen was brought out post haste.
Veterinary costs are incredibly expensive these days, so I was happily surprised that the total visit was well under $300. Even better, within three days, Ms kitty was right as rain.
Loads of points for not being pushy, expensive, or massively time consuming.
I would definitely recommend this clinic

My dog was very ill and when I had no other vet that had openings, I was able to take her to orchard park vet hospital. They were extremely accommodating and super sweet with my dog. They wanted her to get better and they did everything they could within my budget and then some to make her feel better. She is doing soo much better and I owe it to this vet hospital! Thank you soo much!

The only thing they care about is money! I brought my cat in when advised by another vet. Paid $1000 deposit and had to leave my cat. The next morning I receive a phone call updating me on my cat and was very matter of factly advised that I didn t pay my $1000 deposit and did I want to pay it now? Advised her that I already paid deposit or they wouldn t be treating my cat.

I go in to see my cat and speak to the vet. My cat had to be euthanized. As I m waiting to go through with this. That will be another 200 and whatever dollars do you want to pay that now or on your way out? This is as I m holding my cat to say goodbye! Basically, unless you are a gazillionaire don t get sick or have a pet.

On top of all of this, they never called me to come and pick up my cat s ashes. Since there is no additional $ for them they can t figure out how to dial my number.

I have taken my cats to OPVMC for decades and you couldn't ask for a better group of veterinarians, vet. Tech.s, and office workers. They have helped my healthy cats and those who required medicine. My oldest cat is 19 years old and is still active because of the care of Dr. Metzger. I would reccommend OPVMC to anyone who loves their animal companions .

Absolutely terrible customer service. They give yo...

Absolutely terrible customer service. They give you a hard time accepting your dogs into their practice after your pet has an emergency, even if they have a chronic condition that will require future specialized treatment; as they say it is poaching customers from other practices. One of our pets had three separate heart defects and I had to fight my way all the way to the general manager and get a letter from my other veterinarian stating it was OK my Pet moved to their practice, though they had the only canine cardiologist in the area! This process took months while my second dog was bounced between two different care centers. Then they weren t going to allow me to move my other pet over to the practice, forcing me to take my dogs to separate places for their care.

Appointments with vets are VERY SHORT and are only focused on the specific issue you reported when you called. Do not expect a full head to toe examination of your pet. Expect nice doctors, but don t expect comprehensive care. And don t expect consistency of treatment recommendations across doctors.

It is obvious from the building design that no human being who ever had an emergency with their pet, or who have been experienced the loss of a pet built the building. It is a heart wrenching trip every time. Emergency cases are on deck in the waiting room, animals on stretchers wailing in pain. Owners who had to let their dogs go due to serious illness wait in the same checkout line as everyone else for upwards of thirty minutes as they bawl. Other animal care centers have separate entrances for emergency cases and for owners who will not be leaving with their pet. When we lost our dog I asked them to take payment before she was gone and they refused stating they wouldn t know how much the disposal fee or the medicine that would be. Overall letting our precious girl go to save her from pain cost us over $500

At a typical appointment be sure to have a firm hold on your dogs leash. The waiting room is a cacophony if animal sounds and appointments are overbooked so animals and owners are waiting on top of each other. As you can imagine this has not been a good experience injured animals, sick animals, upset owners all on top of each other. Barking matches. Owners losing their pets leashes. Howling from injured animals. People grouping to lol at an injured bird. Pets with sound sensitivity have nowhere to go to get away. The space allotted for the waiting room is about 20 by 30. Not enough space to safely contain the number of people and animals anticipated to be present at any one time. Also, expect to spend more time standing around waiting to check out than actual time spent in an examination room. Today for example, I had an appointment at 8:20am. I waited for ten minutes for my appointment, I was the o my one in the waiting room and no other pets could be heard. Then, the doctor spent about 10 minutes in the room with us. Then we spent triple that 35 minutes in the waiting room waiting for prescriptions to be filled . two pre-packaged items and two kinds of pills. While I was standing waiting it felt as though every employee was hiding. When I did get the attention of a staff member I was told they were counting the pills , then I was told twice that the pharmacy was working on the prescription . And this is after I was given an initial 10 minute wait time. They didn t appear to care that there is a window to the pharmacy right in the check out area and staff could be plainly seen casually chatting as I waited. I even went into the business office to ask for assistance and provide feedback and received an incredulous look.

The only benefit from being a client here is the emergency service which is open to everyone, but you get a $20 discount on your appointment fee when there is an emergency.

My cat was transferred here. He had a mass in his pancreas. They told me he was end of life. They said I could come see him before I put him down. I waited over 2 hours for him to be brought in to me. In the meantime I overheard a Tech named Abbey question what I wanted to another Tech, instead of acknowledging me. It was the second time I overheard her talking about me. It is hard enough to have to put your animal down but you do not need to be ignored for several hours. They also, messed up the catheter for his euthanasia so he ran and they had to take him away and fix the catheter. A vacuum was continuously on and it also, scared him. This is the worst end of life experience I ve for a pet. I m so sorry he had to go through this.

Dr. Fingeroth and Dr. Hong saved our boy's life. The entire team deserves a ton of credit. I am fully indebted to OPVMC. I can't say thank you enough. Everyone here actually cares. They do charge more than other vets but they aren't other vets. You get what you pay for and we paid for the BEST.

I have had two doggies in the ER this year. One with hommoragic gastro and the other with Prostitis . The hemmoragic dog was very sick and had to be hospitalized for three days . They diagnosed quickly and tried to treat conservatively. However the problem was very critical and requires hospitalization. . I was extremely distraught and they even had a social worker on hand so the vet didn t have to deal with my blubbering. I called day and night and was always greats switch kindness and informed in detail of his current condition. They even allowed me to hang out in his cage with him as he received his medication via Iv! Dr . Drolly was efficient and spot on and save his life . Was it expensive . Yes of course. They provided better service than most hospitals . My second experience was my breeding male began urinating blood after breeding a female . It was very scary. Dr. Hedges took care of him and diagnosed and treated him very conservatively . He was spot on and the doggie recovered quickly. That was a very reasonable bill! His previous vet would. Not even examine him and sent him right to Orchard Park vet . So I will use only them from now on. They have the tools to diagnose and the skilled staff to follow through . Thank you OP vet!
