Dinner, drinks and a gorgeous sunset. This is my favorite restaurant, I'm looking forward to doing brunch here.

I had no idea this place existed. Came here for a birthday dinner and was pleasantly surprised. Food was great and the themed dining was a nice touch. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and interesting dining experience.

Our grandsons 21st birthday and he was treated like royally. The food was EXCELLENT. Salad bar the best I've seen in a very long time. We all had steaks and they were grilled to perfection.

I had a rubber steak with lots of fat (rib eye).. My first bite was cold and medium rare when I ordered it well done (surprise surprise). So they took it back to heat it up but my dates dinner is now cold while waiting for mine to come out. I had sauteed mushrooms that taste like they were soaked in pickle juice. I gagged while I had 1 in my mouth. My sprite had no syrup in it so it taste like alka-seltzer The cheese bread is exactly that, regular white bread with cheese melted on top. The clam chowder should have been called cream corn chowder You have to valet park which suck for people like me that hates valet parking. The only good thing about this place was the view. I also liked the old look of the restaurant inside.
I had heartburn all night, I had gas and couldn't stop burping.

This place was dark, view was nice, food was not worth it.

I can only echo exactly what others have said; you are made to feel like the most important person in the restaurant!

The OC Mining Company is a hidden gem in the hills of orange. I have been going to the mining company for a few years and really enjoy the atmosphere. I usually order the prime rib (which is excellent). Recently, I had the filet and it was fantastic which went well with my loaded baked potato. I recommend OCMC to all my friends and family.

The food was delicious. The atmosphere was incredible along with the view. It is a perfect date night spot. Even though I was there for a wedding reception I would love to go back for a date night.

The food was okay but the view and the themed restaurant made up for it.

I bought the 36 inch sluice box out of Orange County Calafornia. Works great couldn't ask for a better product. Worked great rite out of the box easy set up and clean outs. Great products I recommend five stars. Great customer care as well very prompt to your questions. Thank you very much. Eric Foster

Food was excellent, view was excellent and I loved it that all entrees included the soup and salad bar.

Of course mother's day is a bad idea to go out to brunch. That being said, we waited over and hour past the reservation time. Many items ran out for long periods of time, lots of plates not cleaned properly. Maybe they shouldn't overbook so they can keep up, have food properly stocked, and clean utensils. Just saying. Of course, the view is great and the servers were running around, trying hard to keep up. Hence the 2 stars

Best BBQ around with a view and the salad bar is so good.

Beautiful view. Unfortunately it was only the benefit. Food is not as great as it priced. Blue cheese dressing tasted like mayonnaise, and rotisserie chicken was extremely dry. Waiter was forgetful, wouldn't come back to our table, had to wait forever, or yell across tables to get his attention and to ask something we already ordered before. As you sit outside, food gets cold immediately. Highly overpriced. We were disappointed

Some of the best views in Orange County. Excellent food. The menu is classic Steakhouse Fair with a excellent salad bar included with a meal. Children's meals also come with salad bar. Wonderful dessert I recommend the mud pie. They have a good selection of beer wine and Cocktails. This is a must see if you're from out of town make a reservation with sunset in mind.

The bar closed the alcohol service 3 hours earlier. We were basically told they were closing early because it was a slow night - friday.

Oh wow! I went here with my girlfriend for brunch last weekend. It was a total splurge, but so worth it. The omelettes were the best I ever had, there was some Mexican dish that I kept on going back for more, lockes and capers, a country fried steak to die for and the view! Look at that view! That atmosphere was laid back, but sophisticated, Orange County at it's very best.

I don't know if it was the food, or the view, or my girlfriend looking particularly beautiful, but while I was there I decided that the next time I go there, I'm proposing.

It serves a pretty good meal. Ask for a window seat...the views are really nice.

The food was great. The drinks were great. Our waitress was very attentive, friendly and very concerned for our needs. Which is very rare in some restaurants. We received refills every time we hit a half way mark. Whether it was water, fountain drinks, or cocktails. And yes you have your own small "pitcher " of water but she would always fill up our cups talk about service lol. The food was great. The bar of soups and salads was great. Very diverse. A little something for everyone. And the mood they set was so relaxing

Great service and unique location. The food was excellent with a great soup and salad bar. We enjoyed our Father's day together as a family. Not only that, it wasn't a pre set menu for the special occasion. The whole original menu was available!

Tasty, with a beautiful view! Relaxed atmosphere as well. We liked it for our anniversary dinner.

Slow service, mediocre food and I mean very plain. Not worth the price at all. The view is OK. Our first visit they sat us in the back and overcharged us for everything. Very awful experience!

This place is fabulous. It was our first visit. The food is delicious, love the garlic mashed potatoes and the warm cheese bread is off the charts, the salad is fresh, the pumpkin soup came warm and needed a bit more flavor, the green beans are very very tasty . The menu offered hardy options yet limited for chicken breast options. The service is personable, decor is cozy, the bathroom is spotless and the view is amazing! What a memorable visit!

The view is very cool, I believe we could see Long Beach and LA as it was really clear this last weekend. The service from the valet to our waiter was top notch as well. The food was delicious. I had the best filet mignon I've ever had there for my anniversary.

The online reservation system worked well also and considering how busy it was we didn't mind the 10 minute wait. It was nice to soak up the view.

The service and atmosphere was perfect I gave it not so high a score due to minimum
selections for fish and chicken meals.

It s fast food steak, and priced accordingly. I ve never had a bad meal here.

Average to good food. Hostess was fun. Initial table service was bad....reading menu on the table, and she placed silverware and some small plate, right on the menu as I was reading. Really?
Rest of night was fine. Great views. Probably not worth the cost though.
Look elsewhere for views and better food and service.
I am used to high end restaurants in AZ, and they surpass this easily, along with most establishments in CA lately. AZ food culture is off the charts!

Orange County Mining Company offers a very unique dining experience. The whole property takes up most of a hill set above the city of Orange. There are many old items and signage as you drive up the long steep driveway to get to the restaurant. The building itself is very reminiscent of the late 1850's Gold Rush mines.

As you enter the front door you are going to hear sounds that begin placing you into the a special mood (almost like a ride at Disneyland). More signs and artifacts add to the whole ambience. You go down a set of wooden stairs to the reception area... the interior has been artistically staged to affect your senses, you begin to feel that you are actually inside a mine ("Mine Shaft" is to the left a sign points out... I joke with the reception gal that I found some gold in the bar area).

We are seated near the window (everyone is) which overlooks all of Orange County (the whole West wall is framed with large windows... so everyone has a view).

Our waitress was great (Liz... I asked her to adopt me and I told the managers to give her a raise... she said she would adopt me!).

We all ordered different and everyone in our group liked the food. Each of us ordered an entree so all you can eat salad and soup comes with that. The Soup Bar is very good. I liked the Clam Chowder (I find very few restaurants that get Clam Chowder right). They had a Chili Steak soup that was also very good. I didn't try the other two soups offered... next time.

The salad bar has so much to offer... Wow! You could just eat from the salad bar and have plenty to satisfy you. The Ranch Dressing was good! Too many different ready-made salads; I believe you will find what you like with this huge salad selection (I prefer creating my own salad... my own masterpiece).

Cheese bread was served with meals (in basket on the table) tasted great. Soft, warm and tasty.

No complaints at our table with the drinks ordered (I am the designated driver... I think someone should always do this for the group). They all ordered a second round and two of our group went to the bar after they finished their meal for yet another round, so they must have liked the drinks.

I talked with quite a few customers, I am loquacious. Most of the friendly people that I talked to have been going here for years. They have stories like, "we were married here", "we visit on special occasions" and "this is our family favorite". (Paraphrased)

Managers were friendly and I noticed they were very active with making sure everything was just right..

They had a very wide variety of foods. All of it was made with great care and had good flavor. Also the price was very very reasonable per person

Great place. It was better a few years ago. Kids sundays are now just an icecream scoop. Some menu changes, but still good food.

I was at a wedding reception here. I wouldn't call it traditional, but it definitely didn't suck. The view is amazing.
