Very clean hotel! The bed was comfy, the bathroom was really nice (deep tub, separate shower), and the Herman Miller chair was a nice touch! Super comfy. My only "complaint" would be that when we arrived back at the hotel to sleep, there was a really loud party on the main floor - but we couldn't hear a thing from our room on the 4th floor, which was really impressive. I'd also remind the staff to check expiry dates in the mini fridge!

Beautiful room & bathroom (very deep tub!). Stable and fast WiFi. Nice TV with lots of channels. We were a little worried when coming in late at night and hearing loud music in the bar, but it was dead quiet in our 4th floor room.

Beautiful, clean, and comfortable. I think the bathroom floor has some kind of heating system below because the tile floor is never chilly. Parking valet was nice but could have been more streamlined. Gorgeous full window views from our upper floor room, however the window is an entire wall of the bathroom so outsiders can watch you use the toilet and shower... Or you can pull the blinds down, but then you lose the window completely, and there is no other window in the whole room. The bed and comforter were heavenly.

My first time at this hotel. My husband and I came up from Seattle for a very special evening. We pulled up to the hotel for valet parking where no one greeted us, We unloaded our luggage and checked in, The front desk clerk was very friendly and she took my keys to give to the valet. The next day I called for the car. We loaded our luggage again when I noticed some bumper damage on my car. Ben the hotel room manger came out to look at it. He did apologize and took pictures. He was helpful at the moment and said he would communicate with me. I have received one e-mail pretty much saying, we are not responsible for any car damages. If you enjoy valet service, this is not the hotel for you. Beware. Show less

We had an absolutely amazing stay! The staff was beyond helpful and had so many fabulous suggestions for us on places to visit or eat. Chilled champagne, chocolates, and music playing softly greeted us when we got to our room.

Highly recommend the restaurant for breakfast, a great spot for people watching in the morning

Great atmosphere and charming, whimsical rooms. The heated bathroom floor was a nice touch. Staff were extremely helpful, best service I've had in a long while. One thing to keep in mind is that you are in the heart of Yaletown and the hotel does have a club on the ground floor. Be prepared for the sounds of a lively night life outside your window till the wee hours of the morning. I would suggest bringing ear plugs just in case you find it keeping you up.

okay so I won't call this luxury, but the staff was amazing. Truly, they are echelon class and deserve the utmost accolades for going above and beyond my entire stay. Their desire is to make guests happy and I cannot gush enough about them. I was disappointed in the room if only because you had to close at least one blind in order to use the bathroom, but the slippers, robes and heat made it a cozy stay. Despite the very loud outdoor noise from below, when I close the bathroom doors and cozy into the amazing bed.. I say amazing because I woke up so very refreshed and energized each day. So kudos for that. Once again, all staff was terrific, from porters, drivers, to managers to breakfast staff and bartenders... best hotel stay this year! And I've stayed at Fairmont, Xcaret in hotel rooms costing $1200/night!

Opus is a hotel that you would enjoy coming back for a second, third and more times. We have. While this is a small property, they are big on service. It's a great location, next to Yaletown, rooms are super comfortable, great linens, and trendy layout. Staff are always polite and helpful.

Pretty nice spot, the front desk folks are really kind and welcoming. You also get a free glass of wine upon check in. The rooms were really modern and comfortable. The bed is cozy and the washroom and shower are really spacious. No complaints at all.

This hotel has a great location, a nice vibe and good food but most impressive was the little extras that the staff did to make our stay enjoyable. I want to thank each of them who went out of their way to make myself and my family feel special. We will be back!

Big disappointment. We upgraded our room which also included breakfast. We came for one night for my birthday. It was so loud outside coming from nightclub right below. Expect not to sleep until 3am. I called and complained multiple times. All I got was to use ear plug and wait until they are done. There was no other room available because they were fully booked. I understand that the hotel can t do anything about another business, but truly for the money it was very disappointing experience. The staff also didn t do anything about it. The bathroom door is just sliding door so you hear everything. Basically no privacy in the bathroom. I also didn t have bathtub like other people show on other photos. I think I got ADA room and I also wasn t informed about that. I will never return.

After 4 busy month of working so hard, I need to escape from everywhere and stay one day in somewhere. This is perfect place for staying one day! So comfortable room and bright inside! Also I saw the #Totaleclips from my balcony! If we got good discount we will be coming back for sure!

Stayed here twice. The hotel team was attentive and the facilities are well maintained. Central location with many restaurants around. It may be a little noisy in the morning, but it was money well spent.

After a very intense and long stay at BCCH with our terminal child we booked to stay at the Opus hotel. The location was great and we requested a soaker tub room for a much needed relax to reflect and pray. Upon arrival we were informed $45 for valet and rudely told if we wanted cheaper parking we could go up the block for $20 & walk to hotel, $45 was totally fine, same parking price as the hospital So weren't concerned with that what so ever. While checking in our cc was declined with the error code "process", we tried 3 cards all displaying the same error code. I spent 30 minutes on the phone and was told our cards were fine, no holds and thousands available. We than walked across the street to see if our cards were working, we purchased Starbucks and it worked, used an atm for a cash advance again worked fine so obviously it was the hotels issue with our card nothing wrong on our end with our cards. We requested to pay for our room with cash and were told no. The hotel gave us wine upon arrival and than told us to they couldn't give us a room and valet brought our car back so this hotel promotes and is fine with drinking and driving.
We went the Fairmount which was $$$ and our cards processed fine there and I would 100% recommend that hotel. They even offer complimentary parking.
This was by far the most embarrassing experience here in Vancouver and added stress to our already extremely stressful time.

AVOID STAYING HERE! Subpar service and tacky decor. This hotel is like a person without taste or money's idea of a high-design luxury hotel. There are a million better hotels in Vancouver and even in the Yaletown neighborhood.

Absolutely phenomenal experience. We felt appreciated and there was mutual respect with the very friendly staff.

While it was quite noisy down stairs, it was not so in the rooms, which were very quiet, and so clean.

I do a lot of travel (40k-60k kms/year), and I would have to say, while it was a tad expensive (in the heart of Vancouver, so to be expected), the amenities and service, quality of the rooms, and staff made it the best hotel experience we have ever had.

I really wanted to like my stay here, but there were just too many things that went wrong. Backstory, we stayed here as part of a company-paid package, which included the room and breakfast or valet parking.
PROS:
- When we parked in valet area, we were quickly greeted by someone and they took care of our car.
- Staff were friendly and helped us quickly.
- Location was great, right next to Canada Line skytrain and many restaurants.
CONS:
- When we checked in, all our co-workers who were under the same company-paid package were asked if they wanted breakfast or valet parking, which was included. We didn't get asked that.
- When we checked out, we were immediately charged for our parking ($45!) even though we didn't get the free breakfast. The lady who charged us lied to us saying all our co-workers paid for their parking. We confirmed later that nobody paid for parking except us, so we had to request for a refund.
- When we requested for a refund, the lady said she'll "look into it" instead of doing it for us that moment. I'm not sure I trust that I'll receive the refund.
- The bathroom shower had a huge wad of hair in the drain when we arrived. We had to ask reception to get it cleaned.
- The "turn-down service" was a water jug with 1 cup and 2 ring pops... The employees were very nice though.
- The floor to ceiling windows in the bathroom was weird --- do I want to sit on the toilet with people outside seeing me do my business? I'd rather have the windows near the bed.

It s a nice hotel, but the quality of staff is very mixed. From very supportive to forgetting you. The facilities itself are in good shape, but no soundproof windows (which is bad downtown) and sports is very small (considering the price segment). Included breakfast is high quality, but very limited variety and often things were empty (only refilled after telling the staff). For the price segment it s in, i can t rate it higher.

Great Yaletown hotel! We were able to walk from here to downtown and easy access to Granville Island via aquabus about 2 blocks down the road. Lots of great complimentary amenities which sometimes make or break a hotel!

Love how the bathrooms are so open and some face the street. Beautiful thoughtful hotel, with things like a filled ice bucket, great Malin + Goetz products in the shower and reasonable room rates! Wasn't very noisy either, although the bed could be a bit less firm.

I ve stayed at several hotels in downtown Vancouver and this one, by far, takes the cake. Excellent layout, rooms, amenities and location. Yaletown is by far my favorite part of town so it being right there is a major plus. Highly recommend this place.

Great place to stay. They greeted us with a welcome beverage, offer a car service around downtown, have a nice lobby bar, and our ice bucket was filled when we got back after dinner. The rooms are also very nice.

The opus is a refreshingly modern hotel. They always offer a warm welcome and their suites are beautifully decorated. It is always such a treat to stay there. They are located in the heart of Yaletown surrounded by so many incredible restaurants, but you don t have to walk further than their ground level restaurant La Pentola which offers delicious food from morning to night. Side note, they are wonderful hosts for wedding accommodations.
