It's a first aid group. Wait -- they are more than that. They teach too. And consult. And have fun. They know nerds because they are nerds - think cons, fandom and events. And geeks too, I suppose.

Amazing group doing something that is greatly need and appreciated. In the past I had to self treat and with whatever I could get or buy or more often than not, just suffered thru the injury. OH fills a void we never knew we needed until it's to late. Knowledgeable staff that does it all and puts you first in first aid.

Operation Hammond gives me a place to use my first aid skills and to help people. The friendships I have made a priceless and the work OH does is critically important to the shows and communities we serve. Five stars is too few for this 10 star organization.

Operation Hammond does work that definitely needs to be recognized. As both a doctor and a fan of pop-culture events, I find it shocking how little medical care can be found at many large scale conventions. With the number of people attending them, there are many cases when adequate care needs to be delivered. Operation Hammond has continually astounded me with their level of professionalism and ubiquity. They not only provide first aid care, but also assist con-goers with any psychosocial problems that may occur. I m so happy to have watched them work whenever I see them at my local conventions. They are a group of extremely dedicated individuals who have the unique ability to connect with those they treat on a more personal level. As a physician, I understand that this is key to developing better care for patients. I will continue to sing their praises for the work they do.
