Probably the most famous opera house on the old continent, which is famous not only for opera but also for other performances, especially ballet. Seating positions should be carefully selected. Some may be completely unsuitable for viewing, due to their location and viewing angles, despite being offered for sale. There is a need for higher costs for each ticket, but this is obvious when visiting this culture booth. When purchasing a ticket immediately before the performance, it is possible to obtain a discount (directly at the box office) - not verified.

The theater museum is interesting. But the architecture disappointed me, I expected more, for those arriving by train in Milan, the station is much more imposing and beautiful than the Theater.

I felt Scala like a must have in Milan, but we were unable to get tickets and in the end we choose to have a tour of the museum and a quick view of the performance room. Nothing impressive and looking forward to attend a show next time while visiting Milan

Externally the building is disheartening. I suppose it will be in! But entering is automatically transferred to another age. Perfect!!! Congratulations to the Italians for the preservation of their cultural heritage

Great place to visit, but viewing of the theater itself is very minimal and many people don't move from their viewing location quickly so it's hard to see inside. Other than that, great visit!!

I went to a spectacle at Teatro alla Scala with seats in one of the 'palchetti' (private boxes) on the fourth level. The ballet performance was split in 5 parts, of which only the first one was less convincing, the other 4 were quite nice, although quite classical. But I really enjoyed the show.

Then why 3 stars?

Of course the theatre is beautiful with a long history, but the seats on the 2nd (or the 3rd) row on the upper levels are simply embarrassing. You get a stool, which offers no comfort at all.
Also the view on the stage is pretty limited: we were on the right side of the stage and if you sit on the stool on the right, then the view is blocked with the person in front of you and the upholstered wall next to you. Anything that happens on the right side on the stage is simply not visible. In respect to the price of the ticket I think it was not worth it.

I think after all you're better off on the upper 2 galleries or on a seat below. Or you pay even more for the front row in one of the palchetti.
