Great theater. The bar below could have been better.
La scala, the most famous opera house in the world. If you want to see a opera here you need to have a plan, and worst if is a season premier. First seating, you need to spend a minimum of $100-120 (yes you can go to the line of non sell tickets and try your luck to score cheap tickets). Only first line or platea have unobstructed views, down load the pdf plan, see the view recreation on the website, btw only purchase on the oficial site, yes is very difficult to use, you need to practice a few times buying other venues canceling prior to pay. Create an account prior also, cards need to be double check with other system I use a Visa that I all ready validated for other international purchases. Look for the sale opening day and put your alarm clock to Milan time (NYC 6hs difference) they start to sell on the Milan Ticket box 1-2 hrs prior. We seat on First row Prima Galleria 65-69 great seats, note that seats are in groups of 6 on plan but in reality are in groups of 3 separated by columns ( I saw couples separated by this). Other odd fact I have problems buying 4 tickets, change to 2 and goes through.
Wonderful ... It is really impressive one of the most beautiful theaters that I have visited
Cute because you enter the boxes. Too bad you can't visit the theater even from the audience and I expected more items like stage costumes.
This theater on the Milanese scale is interesting, very beautiful and charming, the personal women and men at the service of kindness and cordiality have their customers. Spectacular performances with great orchestras, highly recommended to all tourists. Here is the ghost Dell the opera. Curse of. Maria Callas one of the most important divas of the 20th century.
An unmissable classic for those who want to visit Milan!
Beautiful theater an experience to try and with open scale prices at 50%.
At least once in your life you must attend a opera or a ballet at La Scala, one of the many reasons to be proud of being Italian. The internal museum is also very interesting.
Unique and always splendid, very difficult to find tickets
Grandiose is to see in Milan the next time I hope to have time for a show
A world-famous theater of the greatest artists have performed here
Fantastic theater I went to see Cinderella and the balconies were fantastic especially the real one
Really beautiful pity I didn't like the show when I went but I'm the one who doesn't like the genre and my wife loved it
I went to La Scala a few years ago on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the company I worked for. La Scala is one of the most famous theaters in the world!
Of course very formal clothing :) The theater is beautiful, very large! It is an emotion to be there inside. We had the seats in one of the first rows, it was great to see how they played and watch the concert! Upstairs then of the theater in one of the beautiful rooms that have available to us have offered a buffet to talk and relax after the concert. A magical place!
Seen from the scene by a box through a window. ..very good price
I moved especially to Milan to see La Scala. The visit of his museum immerses you in the atmosphere that reigned in the 19th century.
Superb! It is always a unique experience! At least once in your life you have to be there!
I enjoyed the historical walk through the Great European theater, complete with objects, in depth written commentary, and art. Some opera singers were practicing in the room before you enter the theater. The sound magnification was, magnificent!
Did not impress. The facade is completely inconspicuous
There is an atmosphere that leads to remember the history of the theater through the paintings and various exhibits. Sala del teatro View from a stage while the rehearsals of a wonderful and sumptuous ballet were held !!!
I didn't go inside. But if all opera singers want to sing here, then I have to rate it with 5 stars. Otherwise, as a building, it's not that impressive.
Magnificent. Beautiful acoustics. A high place of music
Did not go to a show just went to the museum. You will enjoy if you like to see instruments and dresses. Otherwise only allowed a few minutes to see the actual theatre from a corner balcony
Nice to see how people had fun in the past :) an interesting hour or 2
Viewed The Nutcracker. A delusion. The first act almost only children, it seemed a school sage. Not worth the money we paid. What is a new commercial gimmick ?! Sin. Good orchestra, beautiful costumes.
The appearance is not decorative, but the inside is truly luxurious. Visit from the reception desk on the left side, visit the inside from the balcony seat on the 2nd floor, take a picture of Puccini and Toscanini busts in the lobby, enter the museum. If you are interested in opera, look for photos of Maria Callas and Seiji Ozawa, see the feast dishes made on the stage, and enjoy it.
Unforgettable experience to watch an opera in this legendary theater! The Scala Open initiative is very appreciable, offering the opportunity to choose from a selection of shows at the most popular prices. Excellent acoustics from any position. Impeccable organization. The seats in the gallery are a little narrow but have subtitle displays in different languages. Possibility to buy the opera booklet (rich in information) from the masks or in the bookshop.
For me it captures the essence of the theater: it seems to attend the shows enclosed in a giant shell! It's very funny.
Superb stage, but only visible from a high seat. The visit is interesting and worth the price (6 euros for student).
What can I say .... one of the most famous theaters in the world ...
Opera appreciation at the long-established Scala.
The language is not only Italian but also English subtitles.
There seems to be an increasing number of works with a modern arrangement, but it is wonderful to experience this atmosphere. I'm glad I went!
Taking the whole stage not all masks open wardrobes, few bathrooms for women
Not much to look at from the outside, but the most famous theater in Milan.
A place populated all the time near the Duomo. Here we have sent a view to Romania!
poop delmduomo of Milan lampiu bella.piazza that exists now impossible.da.vivere for the bussines that year created around but always beautiful
Aida who was waiting in line to buy tickets was very hard, but I still had a good time. I felt that the ticket office was a little bit of people giving the tickets, and the 40th gave a side seat.
Difficult to find tickets with Italian operas but possible by going to the theater ticket office in the morning. Prices starting from 5 euros upwards.
It has been without any doubt one of the best experiences of my life
Superb prestigious and magnificent opera. It's places is full of stories, it also has a wonderful performance. This place I recommend for a family walk if you have the chance to pass to this place (but the entrance to visit is not free)
Beautiful place inside, rather underwhelming from the outside.
Theatre was lovely, not a lot else going on but was decent....probably give it a miss if you are not fully into Italian Opera and theatre
Show at the SCALA
Even just entering is a sight.
The climate. The environment. The sacredness of the place.
Beautiful! Stupendous!
The show was not far behind: "IL CACCIATORE" by the German Webber. Very intense and pleasing work with an excellent meaning and moral sense, staged with the sacredness that the place requires.
Two and a half hours of absolute spectacle!
Historic theater in the heart of Milan. It offers shows not only in the evening but also in the afternoon.
Last Sunday was my first time at the Teatro della Scala and I must say that I was without a voice. Both for the sound quality and for the beauty of the place. Fabulous!
The theater par excellence! A concert, a ballet or an opera. Always magical and splendid.
In the second gallery viewers are standing despite having a place to sit. There is no air and it is a danger in case of rapid evacuation.
