Amazing location for some after work drinks. The food is okay and the drink selection is excellent.

Worst service ever. George behind the bar was really rude and his attitude was unnecessary. The manager came up and was just as rude. After explaining that it is not necessary to be so rude the manager apologised however George just snobbed off. Need to improve on their customer services! The high price does not reflect on their services. worst experience

I liked the drink menu that they have, and the view of the bridge is great. I enjoyed my visit, just a bit annoyed that they always kick you out of the area when they are closing the bar. It's the only place that people can sit down with a nice view near Opera House and the bridge. Can maybe they let people sit down even if they bars are closed? Isn't a public area? Just wondering...

Amazing bar. One of my favourites in Sydney! I've been happy with every drink I've tried here. Excellent view, if only it wasn't so cold in winter. Love the heaters though!

Can't think of a more iconic place to drink in Sydney. Drinks are a bit pricier than other spots, but you're paying for the view/location I suppose.

I've been to the opera bar a few times and the food is always great! I had the sashimi last night and it was super fresh. The views are second to none and really a beautiful place to eat and drink. The only thing that always lets the Opera Bar down is the service from the bar and wait staff - it bordered on condescending last night. Sitting in front of dirty plates for 30mins is not nice either. The staff couldn't have cared less last night. It's uncomfortable having a drink and a chat with a sea of dirty dishes all over the table.

Beautiful place. Great for a late afternoon off the Harbor Bridge.

Food and drinks are pricy but to be expected given the area. Well worth visiting for a drink before dinner just to enjoy the sunset on harbour bridge and the Opera house! I'd strongly rrecommend coming here one evening if you're in Sydney

We chose to eat here because of the three-tiered lunch platters we saw being delivered. It was a delicious mix of seafood and sliders and a great lunch. A little pricey but you pay for the view too, but it can be crowded especially in bad weather as people take the sheltered option as they walk up to the Opera House.

No vegan options in the menu, but many gluten free options available

It's packed at the best of times, but the location and view of the harbour bridge and opera house just can't be beat. Must visit.

Best long island ice test with really good food for lunch options as well. Their fried chicken is the best.

Can t beat the location! Food and drinks are great, food prices a little high but the quality is great. Have tried the chips, wedges, cheese plate, lamb kaftas, arincini, pizza and pavlova.

Great view and a fantastic place for a couple of drinks on a nice afternoon. A little expensive for drinks and food, but you're paying for the view.

Great location, terrible service. There are plenty of other places nearby with an equally good view but without rude waiters.

I was accused of bringing in drinks from another bar simply because someone walked by and left their drink on my table. I can understand if it s a problem to approach me about it if I had several drinks from the bar next door, but it was only one beer.

Another waiter simply dragged one of my chairs to another table who asked for one, without bothering ask us if it was being used (it was, they were at the bar). I later saw the same man roll his eyes and shake his head at another customer, which just sums up the crappy attitude on display.

A different waiter came by later and slammed down some glasses and a jug of water on the table suggestively, despite the fact that we were behaving perfectly fine and having a normal, quiet conversation, minding our own business.

I found the whole experience bizarre and unwelcoming. Don t go.

View is stunning at night and drinks are reasonably priced

If you're visiting Sydney this is a must visit place, you have the harbour views, the opera house all in one - but - be prepared for it to be busy at night and drinks $$$

My tip - go there for afternoon drinks to avoid the lunch crowd and the night crowd.

There is no better place to take in the marvelous views as the sun is setting, schooner in hand with some early evening music in the background. The prices are a premium but the view is spectacular and there is a friendly vibe around the place.

The staff are well presented and happy. I haven't tried the food but it is a lovely place to have a drink and take in the sites of Sydney.

For a long time now I have found that there is a service whisper in the restaurant where I was a fairly regular guest, which is pleasant. A drop over the edge is today 's event when we arrived at the cappuccino and cocoa with our family at 8:00 PM at exactly 20:00. The bride, who had already been visibly put in a bad mood by our presence, explained to us that the restaurant was closing at 21, and that the hot drinks were no longer served, as if the coffee machine had already been washed. When asked if this was her decision or the decision of the management, she told us that this is how the management decided. She also emphasized that we are only a third party today. I don't know what that is supposed to mean, but I'm not surprised at this attitude. I tell the management that from now on the restaurant will have another client less.

Great food and great location just beside the harbour views

Nice atmosphere, awesome music and great food. Love the me&u ordering via your phone. No need to line up to order. Service was lovely as well.

We hosted drinks at the Opera Bar after our wedding in December 2018.
Not only were they flexible with the arrangement, but they made the process easy, and most importantly provided a great service that all our guests enjoyed.
The beautiful backdrop of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House did the rest!

Awesome venue, can't fault it.

Had the seafood and pizza, was so fresh and tasty. The view was amazing (sitting right by the harbour), the staff were extremely friendly.

Seagulls were ruthless with trying to take your food but it was pretty funny.

Would definitely recommend, 5 stars from me good job guys !

This is a must stop location if you're talking a walk around the area. Coupled with live music, lively crowds and great views of the Sydney bridge, you'll have no shortage of things to enjoy while grabbing a drink and a pizza at the bar. Its quite surprising with the volume of people who are visiting that they're capable of handling food and drink orders with proficiency and speed. You won't have to deal with seagulls as much as at Darling Harbour which is a major bonus.

Not many better places for a summer drink in Sydney city

Disappointed with poor welcome, as if our group was an inconvenience. We were the first to arrive at opening, and honestly thought they'd be happy to have a 7 person group.
We discussed going elsewhere but was a lot of effort to move on. We were a mature family group, no roudiness, just meeting from different places in NSW for a get together.
Food was great, but things like table water and salt and pepper were never offered even though we were there for 4 hours buying food and drinks.
General waiters were kind and friendly but a couple who were in charge seemed almost controlling. .
Would we go back? No, not again as part of a great experience is the staff.

Good views and crowd, love music certain times. A little pricey but that's for the location.

The location is amazing. Opera House right there, Sydney Harbour and the bridge nearly touchable. We placed our order and they couldn't find our table. ????? We checked at the bar and the manager was most gracious and after a sweetener our food arrived promptly. One of the dishes was missing. Fixed without an issue by the same manager. Ok. Mistakes happen. They fixed it. The ensuing apologies and prompt fix made it better. Then I went to the bar. A meal gift card was used for the balance. 1 beer and 3 bottled still water $35.00. Barmaid asked if I wanted the receipt. In my haste and misguided trust I took my drinks and left. Later checked the receipt and low and behold $6 over charged. Seeing all the drinks are on register, the receipt in a different amount I can only surmise someone's touching the till????? Tch tch. Staff were quick to clear the table if empties. Friendly although some of their Anglish not too good. All in all food was ok. Location great. Drinks cold.

Extremely beautiful location but slightly lacking in service.

A great place to get n amazing view of both the Opera House and the Bridge... If you can't stand the heat (and it does get hot) go at twightlight and catch the full beauty of the city...
Reasonable prices considering the location.
Also they now have a seagull patrol which makes it safer to eat outside while enjoying the amazing views.

The best atmosphere in Sydney! It is a place I want to go every day, but on Friday night I have a lot of people and it is so nice to go there when I have a moderate number of people. View of Opera House and Harbor Bridge!

The Opera Bar offers great views of Sydney Harbour at ground level, great live music, and also good people watching.

Don't forget to try to Opera bar pale ale if you are a beer drinker though.

Iconic venue, iconic view, great drinks, good vibe. The best way to spend a day on the harbour and great for photos. The rose is awesome and so is the mojitos.

What a wonderful view when you are eating dinner. Breathtaking views of the opera house with some great food! It's a bit pricey, but it's a nice environment. You can even get a drink before you are seated!

Best place to eat near the SOH. Great food and prices, friendly staff and (bliss!) clean toilets.

A must for any tourist (or why not, locals). It s a gorgeous spot, affordable happy hour til 6pm, and friendly staff. Watch out for seagulls who may pick on your food. The staff kindly provides food covers. Hit it up for an Aperol Spritz in summer

Incredible location and vibe, but sadly menu experience wasn t great value. Paid $32 for a main that said on the menu it had tabbouleh with the lamb steak. It definitely was not tabbouleh with it but rather some kind of tasteless shredded Brussels sprout salad. I mentioned this to the waitress, given I had largely ordered the lamb for the tabbouleh side, and she replied that the tabbouleh was under the sprouts, I replied it isn t, and then she said she s not responsible for that (??). I m not sure what restaurants think we re paying them for, but I definitely expected more of the Opera Bar.

Ok... So the view is to die for. You can't compare this to anything else in Sydney really. If you come for a beer and catch up, pray that it isn't too busy... Otherwise it takes away from the view. The food is standard and although a little overpriced, it hits the spot. It's a great place to take people coming to visit Sydney
