We did not get in but just wander on the roof. The architecture of the building is very well thought out and realized. The roof is non-slip so you can walk safely and enjoy this great show. An incredible view. It is very beautiful. The opera blends perfectly with the landscape. At the moment they are doing work downstairs to develop the gardens. It will be superb I'm sure.

An iceberg in the North Sea. This is what it looks like and actually wants to represent the Oslo Opera House. With its clean and well-defined lines it looks directly into the sea and plunges into it almost disappearing. The white color is of great impact and, at sunset, it creates a sight to behold. going up to the roof it is possible to admire the skyline of Oslo from above and take nice pictures with the seagulls, very willing to pose even very close to the lens. We must pay close attention to the many hidden steps present during the ascent. The interior is used as a stage for shows and ballets (but it is always accessible if you want to have a look).

It is a building worth visiting, because of the architectural concept, it is interpreted as a floating iceberg, because of the architecture itself, rich in used materials and its fair proportion, an imposing volumetric. It is not what I am used to seeing (a more homogeneous architecture), but then I understood that that was the Oslo style, eclecticism, and I liked it. An architecture framed in the diversity of styles that makes the total landscape something characteristic and unique ... everything is incorporated without losing the personal, it is a pleasure to dance the view of the particular to the general ... a beautiful and peculiar melody is generated urban .... but you have to give time to manage so much panoramic information ... a pleasure the opera and its context.

It is essential not to miss the beauty of this building. The project of the same Norwegian architect who created the new Library of Alexandria, is a perfect fit made of marble, glass and wood. The exterior views are spectacular, although the building slides from the water with some immense ramps, it is inside where he makes the most of his mastery. I say, capital sin be in Oslo and not approaching contemplate it.

A unique place on the map of Oslo. Unusual architecture. The building is surrounded by water. From every rooftop view, Oslo has a beautiful view. Inside you can write coffee, beer, wine and eat. I encourage you to visit inside the building - it is impressive.

A must place to visit when you are in Oslo to get a good view of the city.. it is 5 min walking from the Oslo Central Station.. you can go up to the roof of the opera house which is a bit of a climb and not at all advisable for physically challenged people or people on wheelchair... otherwise it is worth the climb as you can see the oslo city from the top and also get the view of the sea which is really beautiful.. it is quite windy up there so better to have a jacket with you..

I was not inspired by the architecture that is supposed to resemble a glacier on the water. It is worth the steep walk to the top of the roof for the view. The guide book indicates it looks more impressive in winter with snow which is probably true.

First of all you can walk around it and on top of it - if you come there on a nice day, people will be relaxing in the sun or taking a dip in the ocean around the opera. Inside you can get guided tours (book in advance) and it is interesting to see the actual opera hall but also get to walk behind the stage itself. And if you do want to visit an opera performance there are quite a lot of options. Good seats can be expensive but you can actually buy a place just to stand and see a show for 100 kroner which is a good deal.
