Onward Beach Resort Review

A family-friendly hotel. Swim in the sea, go back to the hotel's pool and have fun with the playground equipment and it's a quick day. I think that it is better not to rely on the internet environment of the hotel thinking that the browser can be seen a little.

Recommended for families with elementary school children. Onward has bigger rooms than most other resorts. It also has a hot tub with swimming pools. The water park is fantastic with high tide pools for surfing and tubing, water slides and lots of fun stuff.
One setback is that the beach is dirty. The beach water is dirty and impossible to snorkle in. But lots of fun activies like kayaking and banana boating.

Tower ridge is all rooms ocean view.
The view is great.

Manta, I did not try this year, but the children were delighted.

It is good to go kayaking with kids and play in the water.

Outdated but still a nice place to enjoy a weekend.

It was a hotel I used for the first time abroad, but I was able to spend it very comfortably. I would also recommend it to people who are not used to traveling abroad.

Room was not ocean view, but was very comfortable.

I visited Guam in May 2019 and rented a car, but it suits the vandalism. My wife and I couldn't speak English and were helped when we were having trouble communicating with the local police and the car rental company. I think there were other tasks as well, but he stayed close to me and translated. I really appreciate it.
The rest of the money was only in the safe in the room, and I was wondering what would happen at one point, but thanks to that person, I was able to enjoy the rest of the schedule.

It's good to go with children. The breakfast is good too. The room was in good condition, but the carpet was a little damp. I'll take my room shoes one day later and take out one star.

A bit old with sqeaky lift but room is very spacious and they have a cool water park. DO Not use Taico rent car inside hotel just because it is cheap. The lady is literally trying to boss around if you are not from a certain country. Still if you have kids, this is the best place for them. Breakfast buffet is crowded so you'd better go down there early.

It seems that more than 90% are Japanese during the week.
There are a lot of Koreans on weekends.

1) Guam is a good view.
2) The pool and water park aren't very clean, but it wasn't bad to bring the kids. All free !!!
It was nice to have a pool of shallow water.
The water park is forbidden to bring drinks, but the pool is fine so I used to have a glass of beer.
3) The general rooms are too big and have two double beds, so it is cheap and good for families.
4) Parking is not difficult and you can move to the parking lot by elevator.

Unfortunately, 1) the facilities are old like most Guam hotels, 2) breakfast is too salty, and 3) the beach is too shallow for snorkeling. 4) It's far from Tumon's main shopping street, so you can't walk and eat delicious food around.

It is quite famous and old resort in Guam. Breakfast is only free, but it is advantageous to have lunch in the morning meal. I think it's a little bit better ... than breakfast. It was fatal that the ceiling paint dropped and the water dripped in the room due to moisture. Instead of swimming in the resort is okay and it is more advantageous that you can do the canoe experience for free. A little little water park is more advantageous. It seems to have remained a pretty good memory if only a few rooms were repaired.
Another drawback is that the parking lot is a little bit far away. We have to walk about 300 meters.
At the lobby counter is a Korean male staff member. It may not be a Korean because I can not speak Korean, but I kind of feel kind to Japanese people and not friendly to Koreans. From the airport 0015 We asked front desk for our reservation and they are seating like they dont wanna work. And We asked our confirmation number and they just called shuttle bus then tell them same information we just told, Guam is supposed to be tour place and this company of either employees are abusing their time and trying to get paid. This is problem needs to be fixed all the Employees of this company and shuttle bus needs to be educated. I would really sue and report to Company right now. First the airport Hotel desk and shuttle bus employee needs to get educated. This services are damn horrible. At least the Main Hotel employees and manager apologized.

Best choice for families looking for recreation and water

Their hospitality was amazing even for me being a delivery man I Stiller GOT to experience thier utmost service out of all the hotels on Guam onward is by far the best in hospitality

The rooms are not luxurious or new, but they are large and the view on the ocean view is very beautiful.
Pools and swimming pools, wave pools, waterslides and other families and groups can be played all day long.
You can play Mangi Lao at a discount on the golf course.

Great location and service. Plenty of parking. Great place to have a party. Close to the beach.

The water park was very large and fun to stay. They have 5 water sliders including Manta , super scary one, and zip line; no additional payment:)

Dinner show was also good All-you-can-eat and -drink style. Indigenous dance and music including fire dance .

Last but not least, do not miss nice ocean view as well.

Swimming and activities at the same time on the beach. Kayaking is free when you stay, but there's no waiting until the morning opens. Water park free of charge. Zip line, slides and manta slides are all free. There is also a Korean at the desk for easy communication. It is recommended that children who are 120cm or more are able to play with water, but there is not much that infants can do. It is difficult to use the beach and there is nothing uncomfortable if you rent it and it was nice to have breakfast for lunch. The food was even better than the outrigger personally. However, the room was slightly worn, but it was spacious and fine.

I think this is the best for traveling with children in Guam.
Children are swimming pool, the sea main thing, and shopping is also possible because the location of Hagania Shopping Mall, Micronesia Mall and GPO, both are just a short drive away.

Waaaay too cold in the room, restaurants and lobby. Caught a cold for that. Building feels quite old and pool isn't clean. Slide and manta in the aqua park is quite fun and snorkeling to the island is a unique experience.

It was okay to enjoy the family trip on the cheap. It's not in the center, but there's no place to go around if you do not rent. It's okay to take preschoolers. I want to use the Tumon side accommodation when I come to the fence ~

The hotel is good, but the water park is fun, there are lots of pools and worms, and Onward has a mart and game room. There are plenty of pools and korean people, but I think the pool is better than oneword. But if you go to the island, it is better to wear Aqua Shuzu than Aqua Shirt.

It smelled moldy in the room and it was hard. It was good to eat lunch rather than breakfast and to use water park.

A bit remote from the Tumon bay area, however you could get a free ride by taxi from Onward to DFS, and returning by hotel's free shuttle bus at 22:00 & 23:00. Nice people working in the hotel, snorkeling equipments and kayaking can be rented free of charge at the beach. There is a car rental desk at the hotel lobby (Taico rental car) which lets you pick up and drop off your car at the hotel's basement, make sure you did a reservation online before you go to get a cheaper bargain. There are ants in the room but not a big problem, it's Guam!

Great hotel with water park to bring kids. You can borrow canoe for free for 1hour. 1 free meal per night. You can either redeem at breakfast or lunch. They don t have good beer. Only miller lite and things like that. The convenience store has more choice. You can bring near the pool but not in water park. The restaurant in the water park is awful. Most prices include tax and tip so it s not overpriced. Hotel does not have a bar either. Cheers

The food is not good enough .... Instead of a menu that does not shine, and half-seasoned seasoning.

I have travelled around the world and have been to many tourist spots, I I found this hotel as the LEAST flexible and had a no empathy of a woman travelling with kid. Two examples:. We arrived the hotel at 6 am because it was the only direct flight from my city. When I got there, I asked them if early check-in with fee is available. The front desk person, Tony, said not until 10am. To check in now, I had to pay full price for 1 night, which is $220 USD. Well, given that we were tired, ok, I would pay. But he said only Ocean view is available and my regular stay is City View. Therefore I needed to check out at noon and checked back in at 3. What.... Paying $220 for six hours??? Then he said there would be a city view room available but not clean which would not require a re-check in. The room was not clean. I asked if I could hang out in the lobby and checked in at 10am (so I only needed to pay $110). But he said no guaranteed the room would be clean by then. Alright, so this hotel did not like money just like to make his customers unhappy. I asked him if I could get the paper work (check in process) done now and hang out in the hotel, just on the beach with my small tent to rest. He said No. Only lobby is public area. Other part of the hotel is not available to use until I officially checked in at 3 pm. Finally, the only helpful thing this person did was when I asked him if there is a motel nearby, he said Santa Fe..... Rolling my luggage with my 9-year old daughter, we walked over to Santa Fe. It was not as good but the lady checked me in for a room from 6:15 to 3pm for $99.99.
Second example: Second night dinner, we went to the Caravel in Basement. (We ate at the Japanese restaurant first night but the sushi fish was not fresh.). I wanted to order a set for $56. My daughter wanted pizza. But they only served pizza in a big Family for 4 dinner. They didn't allow al la carte. My daughter did not want their kids menu ($16) with spaghetti over meat ball. She just wanted cheese sandwich. I asked the waitress to see if they could replace spaghetti with cheese sandwich. She said no. There was absolutely nothing she wanted from the menu. Then I asked her if I could eat my dinner and let her buy the sandwich from this hotel other outlet. She said No. No outside food is allowed. I told her to charge me $16 for the cheese sandwich. She said no. The restaurant was half empty. Again, they did not want your money. They wanted you to go eat two cheese sandwiches at $6 each....

By the way, I also asked if they have one King bed instead of two double beds. The front desk person said they only have double bed room.

So why they still got two stars, the WaterPark and Marine staff was nice. The WaterPark was the best part. Caravel is much better than the Japanese restaurant. I guess if you don't need the support like me, it would be a fine hotel.

We stayed with children of primary school, but children were overjoyed at the pool!
I really enjoyed the slider with my rattle!
(It is hard to go up the stairs with the floats (laughs))

The staff is also kind and some people at the front desk can speak Japanese.

Good resort with the huge selling point of its position next to the aquapark (with free access) and private beach

Breakfast coupons can be exchanged for lunch. Both breakfast and lunch are delicious and the food is different from day to day and not boring

I chose this onward just for the screaming slider "Manta"! I think the rank of the hotel is lower. But just for the "manta"! That's an interesting slider! Other than that, inside lower. But Manta is top class!
