Offering views of Table Mountain, this upmarket hotel on the bustling V&A Waterfront is a 9-minute walk from Cape Town Diamond Museum.
The classy rooms feature private balconies and free Wi-Fi, as well as iPod docks, 42-inch flat-screen TVs and Nespresso machines. Suites add separate living spaces, and some have kitchens, fireplaces and/or butler service. Some rooms and suites are located on an island. Room service is offered.

Elegant and upmarket. A tourist must visit. 2 popular fine dining restaurants and a bar area in the middle of both Reubens & Nobu. Great architecture n furnishings. Cost & romantic great food menus. Highly trained staff to treat u with special care. Prices high but it's an experience of high class living.

Came to The Vista bar to have a bit of a sit down and enjoyed the ambiance tremendously. The service is second to none with a waitress immediately offering us complimentary nibbles. The drinks menu was not obscenely overpriced either. The hotel itself is very luxurious and if money was no object I would have loved to stay here.

We have visited the One & Only on numerous occasions to grab a drink, taste some lovely tea (a fascinating experience) or enjoy some delicious food. I would just like to compliment the efficient service and professionalism of the staff that was shown to us. Always a pleasure visiting here.

Did not stay at the hotel but visited it for lunch and drinks. Upon arrival the hotel informed us that they had to cancel our reservation since they were no chefs. This caused a bit of chaos but they did end up accommodating us and giving us a complementary bottle of wine. Service and food was otherwise good. I had the conconut chicken curry which I highly recommend. Will be back again.

I am Honestly disappointed with the reply I received from the food and beverage manager at Rubens kitchen when I joined them for food and wine pairing on Thursday evening 30 May 2019. Dining at a 5 star hotel like the One & Only you would generally expect that they would ensure the crockery to be in an acceptable condition and not having your first course served with a chip on the bowl. Not wanting to make a fuss I pointed this out to the waiter and issue was resolved in a polite manner. Later the same evening I used the restroom, and after 2 minutes found myself standing in my own urine as the urinal had a leak from a crack. The bathroom care taker swiftly help me clean my shoes and the mess on the floor.

I reported these two concern with Marcus Isaacs, he then later confirmed on email the issue with the urinal and indeed it was broken. He personally apologized for this matter and simply replied with

Please feel free to let me know when you do visit our Resort again so that I can make sure that you are well looked after

Personally I would not spend any money for an experience like this.

Certainly giving this treasure a 5, my kinda place...the service outstanding, the spa amazing...prices *coughs* but certainly worth

The property is very unique i.e. it's a resort hotel in the buzzy city. With the biggest infinity pool in the city situated on it's own man-made island, surrounded by lush Palm trees, backed by service from their island restaurant, Isola, this place should always be a hit.

The hotel is an all around very good hotel. The people are incredibly nice, the breakfast is good as are the restaurants on offer. The rooms are big enough, the view is very nice on Table Mountain (it depends on which room you get) and the city and the restaurants can be reached on foot in 5-10 minutes.

I only came here for lunch, but I can't keep muu mouth shut about the experience got from the hotel. From the friendly receptionists, to the waiters and waitresses. It's very calm and tranquil and one came enjoy their meal peacefully.. Very classy also

Very upmarket venue. Went for coffee after 11pm and was attended to by friendly staff and excellent service (love the "free" crunchies you get with the coffee). Not much of a cake menu (no cake) to accompany the great coffee though. Opted for the Choc Brownie and vanilla ice cream dessert (no peanut ice cream available as per the menu either) but it was still absolutely divine.
An ideal location to have an intimate and rather quiet get together to share your thoughts.

I enjoyed an afternoon tea here for my birthday. Everyone was super friendly. The service was on point, our snack trays were kept full, our empty tea pots were always replaced. And I even received a special slice of birthday cake!

Beautiful interior. Excellent service. Amazing drinks. The louge area very open comfy. You are able to feel like you have the place to yourself although there are people at tables next to you. I recommend this place day in and day out. Beautiful.

Won a fantastic prize and was lucky enough to get to experience the Spa as well as Afternoon Tea in Vista. One&Only truly lives up to it's reputation as being the the best in the business. Would recommend the property and all of it's fantastic services to anyone :)

An experience everyone should go through at least once in their lifetime. You guys are truly amazing. Worth every Rand/Dollar or Pound spent.

Very average - came for high tea, selection not comparable to Mount Nelson or Table Bay. Savory options almost non existent (offers burgers and curried chicken mini wraps for tea!!!) and service good but nothing spectacular.

When we mentioned we do not eat meat, they organised vegetarian stuff for us, which was nice but should already been thought as part of the offering!

They will not see us in a hurry again...

Initially I complained about the price, but after everything was served it made sense. Got to taste different teas and all the baked goodies were absolutely perfect. I don't think there's a better place for high tea than this. Worth every cent.
