Had a really long layover and needed to sit down for a delicious meal. This place did not disappoint! I had a pulled duck sandwich, coleslaw and sweet potato fries. It was rich and delicious.

The restaurant is beautiful and the service was great. The food, unfortunately, was at best mediocre. I ordered the chicken noodle soup and a Cali roll. The chicken noodle soup tasted like it had a cup of dirt in it and I asked the waiter about it. He smiled and said yes it's very interesting isn't it. He explained that the "dirt" flavor was due to the five spice that was added to the soup. I don't find the texture of dirt in my food interesting. The Cali roll was disappointing to say the least. It seems like imitation crab first of all and second of all it didn't taste like sushi.honestly shocked by the rave reviews...
Very enjoyable stop in the Atlanta airport concourses. The food is scrumptious and the service is excellent. The restaurant and bar stay pretty busy consistently throughout the day so be prepared to wait for a table. But the fun atmosphere and delectable eats are well worth the wait. The bar appears to be just as good of an eating area as any of the tables so if a seat is open there go for it. Also the tables outside the main dining area is get the flavor of the concourse along with the tastiness from the kitchen. One item to note- the desserts can take a while to prepare so if you have a plane to catch you may want to skip the final course.
I.book longer layovers to be able to eat here. Food is amazing and creative. Alcohol selection is terrific. Staff is outstanding. I would drive crosstown in any city in the world for this place. It's a don't miss.
Best spot at ATL for great cocktails and food while people watching in Terminal E
This is a great place to spend a long layover at. Good sushi (especially considering they are in a airport) and a great selection of booze (including sake). Downside: it's not remotely cheap. Be prepared to drop some coin here, especially in groups.
Excellent experience. Vidal offered exceptional service. Food was quick, presentation neat, and taste was great too. They are now accepting cards only, no cash at the moment.
If I have time during a layover in Atlanta, I make the extra effort to go to One Flew South.
Great place for tasty Sushi. nice place to relax, people watch, eat good, etc. the place has a nice feel to it.
The food is the best option in the airport but the service is terrible. The last two times I have been there my drink that I ordered first thing either comes as I m finishing my meal or in the latest case never came and still had to tell the server to take it off my check. I sat at the sushi bar as I only had 40 min before I had to leave for my flight. Sushi came very quickly as it was made right in front of me but had to give up on the glass of wine after 35 minutes. When it first opened it was great but now it s much more like an airport restaurant and not fine dining.
The food was good, prices a bit high, but my server was not friendly. I understand people have bad days and good days, but it was enough that I haven't been back since.
I enjoyed a nice pasta with lamb, this place was a calm respite from an otherwise crazy travel day.
Sushi is very fresh and well presented 5/5 stars. The service can have issues with orders not coming or drinks taking a while or forgotten 3/5 stars.
Best place to eat at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta international. Grab a seat at the bar, and finish the meal with a banana pudding.
Best restaurant in ATL. Great cocktails, sushi and food in a cool experience. If you have an hour or more to burn seek them out.
Terrible food....salt lic....wine good...food disgusting.
Food: 3
Decor: 4
Service: 4
For an airport restaurant, this one's quite fancy. After constantly flying through ATL for layovers, I finally got the chance to drop by here for a quick lunch since I had half an hour to spare.
1. Kamikaze roll, 16
~Okay. Ingredients were good, but it didn't taste any significantly better than a typical roll anywhere else.
Service was good, although it could have been a bit faster.
If theres a better restaurant in ATL (airport), someone let me know. This place is great and almost makes you forget you're trapped in an airport.
Bartender was rude. As a vegetarian I asked about crab alternative and was told that this place is too high class for that. Then asked to order a shot for myself and a friend and was told it s not that kind of place. ... while sitting at the BAR.
Always interesting and personal conversation with bartenders and wait staff. Love the drinks and the food is fantastic. Top notch all the way. We will go back every chance we can get.
After asking the host if 45 minutes was enough time for lunch, the server returned to the table three times with substitutions and finally admitted today is a training day in the kitchen, and that our food would be late. We left after 30 minutes without lunch.
Bottom line: overpriced, poor sushi. I was in Atlanta in January 2017 and ordered two of their sushi rolls -- the Dragon and Cali rolls -- to go. Given that this is a sushi restaurant I was expecting good sushi. I was disappointed. Not only were they particularly small despite a premium price, but the result was comparable to supermarket sushi. The pickled ginger was past it's prime too. I'm giving two stars because I chatted with one of the wait staff while I was reading the menu and he was particularly friendly. The greeter and bartender weren't rude but weren't friendly either.
The pimento cheese and grouper were well presented and incredible. Mussels were overcooked, which was surprising- I've never had a mis-step any other time I've eaten here. Rounded out with a well chosen wine list and bar staff who've found the perfect balance of professional and hilarious - One Flew South makes long layovers in ATL far more enjoyable.
Really great flavors and service. Had fish, burger and sushi; all good!
Amazing Cali Rolls and Salmon & Avocado Rolls! If I had time I'd have tried the Kamikaze Rolls as well, they looked amazing. Just be sure you have a minimum of 1 hour (more preferred) before you need to begin boarding your flight since the restaurant can be busy. The waiter will likely ask when you board and will know if you have time to order hot items. Overall, this is the best airport restaurant I've been to so far. Will definitely visit again if I'm here.
Slow service and sushi not as fresh as it used to be. Brought my boss and was disappointed.
I had the salmon and avocado roll and ramen (the ramen was based on the waiter s recommendation) and was quite disappointed. Maybe it s because I m from Toronto where the Asian food is great. This restaurant is way overpriced for the quality of food. See ramen pic - where s all the broth?! I should ve just gone to Chick-fil-A.
By far one of the best restaurants I've been in in an airport, and up there on the list with those outside of the context of an airport. The open faced meatloaf sandwich is great, as is the spicy tuna roll. They have nice collection of single malts as well.
What is not to love? We had a short-ish layover at ATL, but plenty of time for this meal. Pork belly sliders that were insanely delicious, plus, this doesn't sound as amazing, but was one of the best tastes I've had in 2018,
The best place you can go at when waiting in the Terminal E. Forget the rest of the crappy fast foods outside. A cosy island in the middle of the chaos with quality food. One star minus for the perhaps excessive loud music. Loudness It is a matter of taste however. Thumbs up for service and Sushi!
A great find at the Atlanta airport. Who knew southern food in the South would taste so good especially at an airport
Nothing special really. The reviews were a little too hyped really.
Pretty much the best place to eat in ATL. Servers are friendly, drinks are well made, and the food is excellent. A bit pricey due to being located in an airport. Make sure you have enough time to enjoy. Entrees can take 20-30 mins to prepare during dinner rush and seating can take 10-20 mins. Was a big fan of the pork belly I ordered.
Great food, excellent customer service, I would highly recommend it.
The food was not spectacular, but I imagine that to be at the airport, it must be the best available. I ordered the Kamikaze roll which was fine, but it did not look like the fish or the ginger were the freshest. John attended to me and the service was very good. The attention of the hostess was not what I expected, a little rude and it was noticeable that the treatment was different for other people.
Had a 3 hour layover my SO and I decided to go to the best rated diner in the ATL Airport and we were not disappointed. The duck confit was on par but the Salmon hot pot was wonderous. The potato and leek soup had such a great smoky flavor I highly recommend it. Service is okay bit I won't dock them any stars for that on account of them being so busy when we arrived.
This is definitely the best airport restaurant I've ever been to, but the food is priced on a higher tier. Service was good. Food had good flavor, but a little too salty for my taste. I'm unlikely to come back anytime soon because the food feels too unhealthy for my taste and a little too bold for me.
On the rare occasions that I get a decent layover in Atlanta Hartsfield Airport I seek out decent dining. A coworker recently convinced me to wander over a few terminals to check out One Flew South. We were seated immediately and service was timely. They have a very nice drink selection ranging from a variety of different beers to very nice wines. The menu is very intriguing and the decision-making process was challenging. I decided on the OFS Dirty South open faced meat loaf. It was extremely satisfying. Very rich but not so heavy I couldn't finish it.
So bummed. I ve been coming here at least monthly for a long time. Tonight, I finally got to bring my husband along before our vacation. We waited an hour for food and finally just had to leave to make our flight. It was a disaster. I won t be back. LWe left disappointed and hungry.
Always great food, and accommodating, fast and friendly service.
I wanted to like this place but I'm afraid that it doesn't live up to the hype. The BLT was rather sad with cold (and oddly) sugar crusted bacon that was overpoweringly smokey. Hoping that the first time was a fluke, I gave the restaurant another chance weeks later and decided to go with the signature meatloaf dish. Unfortunately, the only thing on my plate was disappointment. The room temperature blob of mystery meat on my plate was heavily coated with bad tasting and overly smokey BBQ sauce. The restaurant decor is rather nice and the drinks were good although pricing was on the high side. The restaurant definitely does a good job on presentation/plating. Sadly, the food did not taste as good as it looked. All in all, I think more satisfaction can be found elsewhere.
great airport restaurant, way above the typical airport fare
One of the best restaurants in the airport, sushi it's awesome. Pretty everything that the chef does it's good.
Ordered a few hand rolls -fresh and nicely spiced. We were finished eating and draft beers still hadn't arrived. Very disappointed. We chose based on reviews and we're hoping for a quiet place to relax and have a bite during our layover
Amazing sushi, some of the freshest I've ever had. Try the meatloaf sandwich (down south.)
An excellent place to recharge and unwind in the Atlanta airport. The southern rail is in particular quite good. Very efficient service and accommodating to travelers on a schedule.
Great food and drinks and good service. Not a bad way to kill time especially during long layovers.
Fast service. Parcontre staff know that customers will not return. Lacks a little love.
1. Hostess - greeted us with "were only open 20 minutes" with her cellphone, charger & purse ready to go
2. Menu - none of the following - tuna dishes, burgers, appetizer dips, beet salad, wagu
3. Waiter - Bill arrived before food the food and he tried to take it while we ate
4. Cold noodle salad was actually pretty good.
I know it is late but they could have tried to fake it a little. We were tired too, however we didn't set the hours of your operation talk to your managers of you don't want a night shift.
We LOVED it!!!! What a great place to chill, eat, and drink on a layover. The pulled duck confit sandwich was terrific. Get fries for your side order.
Great food. Nice strong drinks. Relaxing atmosphere in which to spend your layover.
Nice place in an environment of instrumental music and surrounded by several restaurants and a bar
The place offers a nice range of delicious food. I like eating here. The employees are always super nice, prices are fair and the spot is always clean.
This is our go-to restaurant when traveling through ATL. Consistently fantastic food and service paired with a wide variety of libations for every mood..this is our favorite place to spend waiting for our flight!
Me: Do you have any protein options?
Male Server: Ahhh No! You ordered a vegetarian plate.
Me --- thinking (Did you really graduate high school?)
Me: I'll pass. I'll just drink my Boulevardier.
If have the time head to Terminal E and enjoy craft cocktails and excellent food.
It could have been good, but . . . One flew the coup. There was a short weight when I arrived; three parties in front if me. After the 3rd party was seated, I waited until someone left to indicate I should be next for a table. As I turn the corner in front of the hostess stand a couple entered in front of me and asked "is there a wait for two", hostess says no follow me. I imagine the food is probably pretty good there as it was full. Tt was dinner time though . . . So, I left instead of waiting for another table. What could have been, I will NEVER know.
I don't know if it is just me but I don't think this is as good as everyone says it is. I have eaten there twice and had different fish dishes each time. The taste was good but nothing to write home about. I really could not tell a difference between the two fish filets even though there should have been.
I may eat there again but I will have a salad or sushi next time. I will update this review if that is any better.
A very very pleasant time between flights. The food was amazing, the beers were super cold, the moscow mules were the best and the servers are so polite you don't wanna leave the restaurant. I'll come back every time I connect on terminal E.
Excellent service, fast (as needed at the airport) but with a gourmet taste. Great sushi
Their cod is the absolutely delicious. Tendered and finished with slight pan roast and that green curry and yam compliments the cod.
Amazing food. No doubt at all. Probably the best airport food in the country, if not the world. Had the pork belly, which is to die for. Do yourself a favor and have a meal here if you find yourself at ATL for a little bit.
Probably one of the best places to eat in an airport. Great good and a compact but high quality drink list. Everything I've tried has been very well made.
One of the better meals I ve had in an airport given the alternatives. The duck was cooked very well.
More servers than customers, but after sitting at the sushi bar for 20 minutes no one came to take an order for drinks or food.
Definitely the best food option I've experienced at ATL. Not your typical level of "don't give a F@*$" service you get from people here, very welcoming and friendly folks. The sushi was good, nothing spectacular but considering the location it will do....
WOW. It's fancy, you'll expense it. But to have this option just off the food court? Mind-blowingly worth it. Smart sushi, craft cocktails, try to remember you have a plane to catch.
For those times when you feel a craving for sushi while in the airport!
Best restaurant in any airport anywhere. A "MUST" for anyone finding themselves in the E Terminal in Atlanta.
This place is great!!!!!
Please try the ramen!
I feel like I was pregnant with a beautiful ramen baby! The pork belly! The smoked collards, damnnnnnnnnnn!
I am in heaven!!!!
Favorite airport dining ever- With a great drink and beer selection to boot
Why is One Flew South closed right now with no known opening time on the busiest airport day of the year? Called and they can t give any idea of when they will open today.
Great food and atmosphere, but what it definitely took the price was the beyond amazing service we receive, our server was helpful, funny, attentive and just wonderful. His recommendations were a total sucess and after having such a hard day for typical airlanes mistakes this was such a breeze of fresh air!
Totally recommend it!!
If you want a $10 burger for $20, this is your place. Should have got the sushi, that did look good.
The burger was literally just a McDouble with kimchi and bacon and sauces, same patties and all, for having a chef one would think you could at least make a burger patty by hand. Flavor was ok, the good: they do have real silverware and cloth napkins.
Waiter needs to pay attention to empty glass, had to ask for refills several times...you have one job...sheesh.
Do like most....walk on by.
One of the nicer places to eat here at ATL airport. Usually fairly busy. Prices are high.
Delicious. Best airport food I've ever eaten. Beats the heck out of the other options in Atlanta if you have the time to spare.
Great place for a quick amazing meal! The waiter John was great!
Sushi this last round wasn't quite the stellar level it usually is, but the drinks are well crafted, particularly when you remember you're in an airport terminal. I've had a delicious Boulevardier here, subbing punt e mes in as the vermouth. Same goes for a hanky panky.
Without question the best ATL has to offer in both food and service. Healthy options and a friendly staff .
Unbelievable level of quality and service for anywhere, let alone a busy airport restaurant. Raul was phenomenal and the cocktails I had were outstanding. Probably the only surprise extended layover I've ever enjoyed this much .
The best! Everything I've had here has been amazing! They have the most wonderful sushi! The salmon is so fresh and very delicious! The staff is really great and just very nice to chat with. This place is not even an airport restaurant in mind and if you're ever in Atlanta airport and you have the time but don't stop to eat here, something is wrong with you. Yes, it's a bit pricey but not when it comes to airport food and this would totally be considered affordable (if your not on a strict budget) as a normal restaurant. Go here! Eat anything non the menu!
Your sushi case is dirty with a layer of dust. The metal case you store seaweed paper in is open and collecting dust on the lid as well. Details.
Been eating and drinking at OFS for over 8 years. One of my favorite places in the country. The food and the staff make it a fantastic place to hang out and eat/drink between flights. They even scrounged up the ingredients to make my favorite drink that's not on the menu anymore, One Night in Oaxaca. Love these folks!
I highly recommend the pork belly sliders and cocktails. Haven t tried the Kamikaze roll or Salmon Avocado roll but we ve heard from several guests/waiters that these are very tasty. The spicy tuna and salmon tacos were a bit underwhelming. Service was great but recommend to only dine in here if you have at least an hour before boarding time as waits can be long depending on what you order.
