This is my favorite place in Buckhead...The food is awesome and the sushi is AMAZING!!! I so recommend next time anyone is in Buckhead...GO TO Amura!!! #1 place to go if you want sushi!!!
Terrible service and overpriced food. You can find better sushi on Buford Hwy for a lot cheaper.
I have visited Amura Buckhead on several occasions in the past few months and I would like to share some of my experiences on this review.
First of all, the restaurant ambient was great and trendy decor. The main dining floor is huge and spacious and the Sushi Bar is huge with several sushi chefs working behind the counter. You could tell that Amura is really serious about the Sushi and each Sushi Chef really knows what they are doing. If you want more privacy, I would recommend upstair seating which I had used it couple of times. They also have a private room in the back for the big event.
Secondly, they have an extensive Sushi menu which I had tried several different rolls. My favorite rolls are the Brainstorm roll, Super Crunch Roll and the Tango Mango Rolls. Each time I came, I would order at least one of the aforementioned rolls and other rolls on the menu. They also have several classic dishes under Amura Classics. My favorite dish was the Tuna Tataki Capaccio and the Circle of Life. Never disappointed. I really enjoyed their Sushi so much that I had to bring my daughter and her boyfriend in on the recent visit and they both love it. I also tried their Cowboy Steak which was huge and very flavorful. Thumb up!
Last but not least, their service was one of the top notch. Friendly staff and very knowledgeable. The server that served me the last time was very attentive but not too clingy.
My overall experiences with Amura was very pleasant and very positive. This is my go to place in Buckhead. As long as they continue to keep up with their good works, they would have me as their regular customer for a long long time to come.
Classic cocktails are the best in town, I drink here 3 days in a week after work to beat traffic. Old fashion is made to perfection and Sushi is also great. I always get the same thing which is the hawaiian, so much fresh fish!!! (only for raw fish lovers)
No flaws with this restaurant.
Loved the lobster roll, which had an exquisite lobster with sashimi on top.
The place had a casual atmosphere, and our server Brian had a friendly manner and was attentive.
The cost was affordable, and I would definitely recommend this place to friends & family.
