As Jagdish itself is a brand across the nation. The variety of snacks here are so much. But as almost everyone knows that the famous and the must-try is lilo chevdo. Other items are also very tasty. Even one item named bhakharvadi is also widely famous. I would like to refer to all of you out there that you should try at least once those above-mentioned dishes. You wouldn't regret it. Whenever I go to buy some snacks, there is always a crowd. Also, there are so many non authorized branches in Vadodara but this branch has the taste of original jagdish.
Gujarati cuisine is distinctive in it's wide variety of 'Farsan'. There are a number of vendors in baroda for it. But the one which has a lasting impression on my mind is 'Jagdish Farsan'. If you haven't visited 'Jagdish' yet, you are missing the perks of living in baroda. Baroda without 'Jagdish' would be 'chai' without toast, burger without fries, Gujarat without 'garba'. Jagdish has been serving baroda now for around seven decades, with a wide range of traditional sweets and namkeens! Also, 'Leelo chevdo' and 'Bhakarwadi' being the foremost love of Gujaratis in farsan, 'Jagdish' has made it to the top. The USP (Unique Selling Point) of 'Jagdish Farsan' would be It has maintained it's quality and taste till now, that It's still the dearest to the Barodians.
I visited to jagdish when i was in baroda (few days back). This isn't a shop, it's like a mini mall for food products. Almost every sort of food item is available including south indian, north indian and specially gujrati. I bought khakra and few candies which were looking ugly but the tasty ones. The shop or mini mall is on the main road i,e. Easily founded and easily accessible for any new person visiting baroda. Quality of food and it's packaging is really nice but a little bit overpriced, i dont remember the name of those samosas which i bought, but those were awesome. Overall it's a good place for food items.
A very good place to get some snacks, chocolates of local and foreign markets, cold drinks and coolers and shakes and a huge variety of packed dry food.
Previously I gave 5 star now as per today's experience 1 star is also more. It's raining so went and bought Dalvada. The quality and taste is worst. Please think about the Brand Name if don't have sufficient quantity atleast don't sell instead of mixing and giving the worst quality. For sure not going to visit anymore.
Very very big fan of jagdish food This is the real and main branch of jagdish food, dont trust other to choose real jagdish because in baroda you may find shri jagdish, jay jagdish, etc name of shop, but this is the real jagdish branch and other branch is located near central bus station which is under ground shop and having same Logo like this. Many many delicious fresh gujarati iteams available with royal test like dhokla, handvo, khaman, patra, sev-khamani, khandvi and many more. You also find packed items like chevda, khakhara, ganthiya, all namkin's related to gujarat. The have started new sweet items like, halva, barfi, penda and all. I think if you are food love then go once here you definitely love this place.
One of the best and oldest farsan outlets of Baroda. Lilo Chevdo and Bhakarwadi is must have. Also try wide variety of fresh farsan like samosa, dhokla, handwa, patties etc.
In this pandemic situation we trust on swiggy and Jagdish Farsan for delivering Kaju Katri They have delivered but without proper packing. They just put it in a plastic box and cover with paper which can easily comeout. So requesting to look into this seriously for hygiene front.
Jagdish foods is a brand in itself. Best place to buy multiple flavors of Gujarati snacks, sweets, namkeens, savories and many more. Various types of khakra e.g. methi, jeera, plain, masala; theplas, kaju katli, namkeens and many ready to eat savories for example, chinese samosa, masala samosa, cheese masala samosa.. mentioned products are just the brief the varieties are huge and countless. Can be taken for regular home consumption as well as as to give to relatives and friends whenever travelling within or outside Gujarat.
