I loved getting my undergraduate degree here. I recommend the Idaho State University psychology program.
Continuing Education and workforce Training !
Great Variety and Instructor's are top notch .
This place is terrible, I am embarrassed of Pocatello :( My tuition was wasted on hiring unethical people. You have nothing to learn from this place, go elsewhere if you are looking for higher education.

A wonderful place to learn and live. A shiny spot in Idaho.
We took a tour and the tour was well done and very helpful. It gave a good impression that felt authentic and fair. The cost seems low compared to other universities and off campus housing options seem great. Our advisor Ashley was outstanding. Go Bengals!
Very happy with the education I received from ISU. It has its issues (ie: President Vailas) but no matter where you go you will find issues.
I started out my college carerr at ISU and transferred to the University of Idaho after two years. I did not feel that the science courses were very high quality as a lot of the introductory courses are very large, and some are even taught by graduate students, which is typical of public universities. The foreign language department classes and professors were pretty good. However, I don't think that professors get treated very well by universities' administration. If you want a better experience, I recommend applying to the Honor's program. I now am in dental school at a prestigious Ivy League School, so if you work hard at any of Idaho's state schools, you can take your education anywhere.
They did absolutely nothing to help the students whose on campus apartments burned down. They lost all their belongs, including laptops, and the school has done nothing. It's sad that these students spend thousands of dollars every year here, and the school could care less about them. It makes you question their policy and morals. It's just sad...
Idaho State University is a university with lots of possible degrees. As a state university, the tuition is low, and this makes Idaho state university a university to go to for in-state students. This is also why there are a lot of Idaho students on the university. On the other hand, many internationals come each year, which gives a wider variety of people. The service and classes are good, and the core classes are clearly thaught. When I have my degree from this university I will be able to say more about the academicstandards of this university particularly in the workfield. This university is definately enjoyable to study at!
Love it!!!!!Im in first year of undergraduate and already an officer of NAU club and have a paid internship great school!!
Its a fun place to be if you capitalize on all the fub opportunities it has to offer nice facilities and pretty understanding staff
Many aspects of ISU are 5 star. Academic advising seems to be the area in greatest need of improvement. 2 star for advising. Great campus, many opportunities.
I graduated from ISU 30 years ago from the business school and was a transplant to the area from So. Cal. Many of the textbooks we used were the same used in ivy league schools like Harvard, so it came down to the professors. Some were great and others just okay, probably like anywhere else. In the end, college is what you make of it, no matter where you go. I enjoyed ISU and the area and chose to settle here and raise my kids, they turned out awesome! I have a really good job at the INL and will retire in Pocatello to live out my days. I love the outdoors here, the people, the low cost of living and not waiting in line! Go Bengals!
I had such an amazing four years at ISU. I stayed in the dorms my first year and those experiences are indispensable. I worked for ISU for 3.5 years and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Being involved in student government, clubs, and just in student life in general makes the experience even better.
I had the privilege to investigate with our team Paranormal Discoveries. We've been to many locations and a few of those locations we investigated multiple times. But, the Normal School was a location that haven't disappointed from the time we walked in to the one building. Just an example....we had set up our equipment and the three of us were ready to investigate. We were double checking our Dvr cams on the monitor and made sure all cams were recording. And while all cams were recording our team founder Lauren was with Co founder & Tyree looking at the monitor, as I was directly to they're immediate right two feet away. As Lauren is asking us where we should go first? A huge black darker than Black mass, that was apparently in the same room as us, shot across my full spectrum from my right to left out of the room and passed the still night vision in the hallway and up the stairs. The Dvr cam caught it as well. Lauren had seen it on the Dvr monitor as well. It was unexplainable, but couldn't debunk it as well. It was in the basement Hall room. All windows were boarded up and no light whatsoever was in the room. Besides there was a blizzard that night and we were the only ppl on the property. This never happens that quickly. But, whatever this blacker than black mass was intelligent, as it answered Lauren's question where to start our investigation. I have to say it was a hair raising experience no doubt. That was just one part of evidence that we had captured during our time there. It was probably the most active place we have been to, well mine for sure. I definitely would go back in a heartbeat as I'm sure as our whole team would.
Gary.....Paranormal Discoveries!
This is such a great school. An amazing online program and incredible faculty.
Yep, some of the reviewers are saying the right thing about ISU.
ISU isn't so bad. You also won't "see" guns on campus, as one reviewer has suggested. Idaho did legalize concealed weapons on campus for properly licensed carriers...
Idiot teachers. No rights. Corrupt. Abusive. Small town run by Mormons. How would you think it would be?
I grew up in Pocatello for 31years and I worked in the College of Education for 10-1/2 Years and I just loved it a lot. It was my dream job I ever had. I really loved all the staff and the professor's I new and I miss them all very much and also the Dean at the time.
I have my Associates degree in Instrumentation electrical.
Best bang for your buck.
Idaho State University is far less costly than other universities or colleges, even ones near by. They will give you a diploma so, you get what you pay for.
I received my undergraduate and masters degree from ISU so I can't complain at all. Had a good experience and got a solid education without any significant debt.
This university is cool! We drove around and toured the stadium.
