Great service. Had my graduation dinner there and didn't think about getting kids menu sorted. They adjusted on the night and offered a refund for the difference. Took it in vouchers given the great service, friendly staff and delicious food. Great beer range too. Highly recommended
Food was decent. Front of house staff stood around and did nothing and took a while to do anything despite the fact that we were the only customers.
Great beer selection but can be variable in quality at times, that said there is always something great on tap. They probably have the best bar snacks in Dunedin, and the staff and atmosphere are awesome. Great place to sit inside or outside in all weather conditions. This is a great place to go to whether you are just looking for a pint, or snacks, or want a larger meal for lunch or dinner.
Good food range, however my order was a bit over cooked. That said they were incredibly busy.
The staff are very friendly and happy to help, plus there is a great range of drinks here.
Perhaps go at a slightly quieter time than after work Friday if you prefer a more intimate experience, or being able to hear what others are saying.
Perfectly cooked venison and well-rested. Reasonable service and a nice room for our group.

The menu is interesting and the atmosphere is fun with groups of all ages enjoying celebrating with friends and family.The real deal with a good range of authentic craft beers and staff who know their stuff. Food was delicious, with a friendly fun atmosphere although hubby's serving of risotto was rather small. You just feel welcome and looked after.
It's sad at Ombrellos. My wife made a phone booking on Monday ,a day they chose to close . When we arrived the staff regarded us unsympathetically when they found no reservation was made. They said they may find something. The impression we got was we were a nuisance . Was there an apology, no. Nothing that acknowledged their mistake. We were just a nuisance to them . Would I go there again, I don't think so.
Oh we elected to dine elsewhere and had a brilliant night . But Ombrellos never again.

Real busy then and now, but just excellent service from very nice and friendly staff.
food and beer are great! I like how they accept the Otago Postgraduate Association membership card and give us discounts. I also like how the chefs are accomodating (ie make "naked" chicken shanks/wings).
I really enjoyed Ombrellos. I got the Ombrellos big breakfast (picture 1), which was very filling. It was well cooked and the sauce on the potatoes was a good choice- light and spicy, but not overpowering. The bread was very nice as well.
The coffee was a bit cold when it came out, however, and a bit underwhelming and lacking in flavour, unfortunately. However, it was a nice experience overall. Kid friendly and nice staff.
