Very convienant for all hours. We gratefully were accommodated after stopping at two other locations for a room, but nobody was available to even speak with, until we finally ended our evening by checking in at Driftwood. They answered right away with prompt service.
Ok where do I start. When I am writing this review at 8:33am local time. The lady at the front desk just barged into the room, didn't knock, just came right In. The room decor could use some updating but it's not terrible for $50. Good location though and there is many things nearby. I wouldn't stay here if you can avoid It.
Really bad smell. Like an animal pissed inside the room. Manager rude. Please don't stay here. Spend 10 more dollars and go somewhere nice.
Sleep and relax while you're here take in the beautiful Florida air and scenery. take a walk and look around you might find a beautiful sunset or an antique car going by.
Stayed here in a smoke free room Monday evening. The rooms were clean and comfy, the staff was very friendly, and the prices are excellent. I was very happy with this motel.
Horrible was in room 20 last night, eat up with bed bugs!!! Refund or I dispute on cc,advertised rate 55, paid 78. Not to mention the drug dealing outside our room, guy in brand new white corvette..
We booked in advance but arrived very late and were afraid that we missed check-in. At 2 am we arrived and buzzed the staff. She popped up and greeted us warmly. The old design of the motel instantly conjures images of horror films, but the insides are well kept and cute. This is a best value motel not a budget motel!
Very clean, check in staff very friendly. Beds are hard, no hair dryer, toilet paper holder coming out of wall. Older motel with maintenance issues.
Staff is nice, prices are far for Lake City. One of the best cheap motels around the area.
This is a place where it was nice and quite the beds are comfortable. It is a older type Motel that has bern very nicely restored, renovated with Satellite (Dish) bathrooms are small as wD the normal in the Fifties and Sixties. Liked it, owners are very NICE and are still re-building the last of the rooms. Price was very reasonable around $50 for two people. NO PETS if you are traveling with your pet/pets not for you.
The hotel is ok if you happen to stop just for one night and you have a tight budget although the price we paid was ridiculously high but I Gest it was due to the fact that it was a holiday weekend. The room was clean however the place smells like thrist store and there is dust everywhere.
At Driftwood, you'll find "A Nice Quiet Room" who's decor is a little seasoned, but clean, with a flatscreen TV, mini fridge and microwave. Located conveniently off I-75, the motel has approximately 25-30 rooms and is within immediate proximity of shops, restaurants (a killer Texas Roadhouse restaurant with the best service and food in town), gas stations, a car wash, Wal-Mart (get the idea?) If you're looking for a clean, convenient, reasonably priced room ($61 for a queen bed), look no further. Pick up a card at the front desk for 10% off a great meal at Texas Roadhouse.

Decent room, I was charged $10 more for paying in cash, but overall room was clean water, was hot and bed was soft.

Good motel to spend a night and continue your trip. It has many restaurants nearby and easy connection to the Interstate.

Owners nice. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. Easily accessible. The rooms could be a little bit more up to date, since the rates are close in price to the big named hotels.
Housekeeping rudely awoke us in the early hours. When we told them to come back later because we're trying to sleep they hung around outside our room like parasites yapping about god knows what. Sounded like a group of seagulls fighting over a chicken wing. To the manager, if you're reading this, you need to fire these clowns

Affordable. Was able to check in at 3a without issue. Small motel. Clean but basic. Was pleasantly surprised to have a microwave and fridge. Dated room and furnishings but fine for overnight.
this room stinks (stale body odor and filthy carpet) My gandkids walked around the room, only for a few minutes and their feet were black. the linen smells as well. NEVER AGAIN! Rude and unprofessional.
The smell was very unwelcome. I'm pretty sure my child got bitten by some kind of bug in that room. You get what you pay for a cheap motel.
We had a very good experience at this motel. We got in a lil late but the lady at the front desk was very welcoming and great hospitality!!! For the cheap price of this room, we walked in to a fresh smelling, clean AND the air conditioner on for us!!! I was very impressed and WILL stay here again. Would HIGHLY suggest this place to stay at!! Thanks!!
Would give zero stars if I could!!!! Worst hotel in Lake City Florida!!! Seen over 20 cockroaches in my room and people dealing drugs in the parking lot!!! Front desk said that wasn't thier problem and for me to deal with it or leave without a refund!!! I'll never stay here again and I'll do my best to make sure others don't either. Manager was beating on the door a hour before checkout saying I needed to get out of the room now!!!!

Very friendly and kind lady at the front desk! I traveled 2 days on a bus. My bus arrived @ 7:30 a.m. . I arrived at the Driftwood around 8a.m. Check in time is 2 p.m.(like most motels) the gracious lady allowed me to check in early. Ahh, a hot shower and rest is a beautiful thing Clean&Safe.
I wouldn't recommend it to nobody I know they lied to me told me they have room's available then just cause they didn't see me drive up in a car they changed it and said a reservation just came in right in my face
Great mom/pop place. Nothing fancy but fresh paint, everything very clean and comfy. Great value if you aren t expecting extras. We ll be back.

This place is great, the rooms are clean the bathrooms are clean which is a plus. Nice beds and this motel is close to places to eat, and that is in walking distance. The people are helpful, nice and friendly. I rare this place a place I would come back to.
No working lamps, no working TV, no amenities. And I was charged over their advertised rate. One of the worst hotels we've ever used - avoid if possible.
