Went here during Christmas. They had the houses decorated for the holiday, was nice. They also had a small fair going on. Was spread out a bit, could have been setup better. Hard to locate some vendors. Parking was complicated, needed better guidance.

Every October Rise of Jack-o-Lantern has 5,000 carved and lighted pumpkins for your viewing pleasure. There is an amazing variety of even simplest one pumpkin designs and huge figures made of hundred pumpkins too. Several thematic areas unclude farm animals, underwater scenes, emergency vehicles, variety of skeleton adventures. Some parts have sound effects too. Separate area explains the process of creating the exhibit. Bring your camera or phone for incredible seasonal selfies!

I've only been here for their Halloween pumpkin event. My son was 3 when we went and he loved it. If your kids are scared of the dark they have glow in the dark items for sale that might help them feel more comfortable.

Absolutely stunning, inside and out. This 1907 mansion home to the Phipps family has been carefully curated and maintainsd by a foundation. An indoor tour takes you through public and private rooms, filled with art and vintage furnishings. Outside, the gardens are magnificent. Specimen trees and shrubs, a glorious English garden, and when we visited, an installation of sculptures by Seward Johnson artfully displayed throughout the grounds as well as within the house. My advise: Get there as soon as you can

I was there on dog day. It's so beautiful there!! Everyone having their dogs with them made even better. It was a great way to spend a Sunday. I found out they serve High Tea there too! I'm definitely going back for that. There are many other events there...check it out.

Very nice and historical place. Magical and big in territory, they host events, expos and lot more. There is a permit required for professional photography if you want to get a photoshoot done here. But if you want to take nature photos then its ok. There re different areas within the place. They have craved pumpkin exhibition, they have tours inside the house, a playground area, a lake, few gardens. Few movies had been filmed here as well.

This place combines two of my favorite things: History and Nature. We went on a cloudy July day, so the photos weren't that great but they work. The staff is friendly and happy to help with any questions you may have about the house or the family who lived there. They have a lot of this to offer like a walk around the lake, a rose garden, a huge garden, a self-guided tour through the house, and so much more. I think we were there for maybe 4 or 5 hours, honestly, you could get lost here. (Update 07 Jun 2019: These photos will be changed sometime in July, as will my review.)

An amazing glance at the Gilded Age of New York. Beautifully maintained gardens and the most elegant mansion in America. Recommended for any time of the year. Always something new to see in the seasonal gardens. I visit once a year for the past 20 years.

Beautiful flowers! Lovely grass. All the scenes were great. I visited the Love temple it wasn't newly done but there was a straight view of a part of the mansion.

I saw about three people dressed in bride and groom attire on the same day. There are seats for sitting and relaxing in between a walk.

I didn't get to tour the mansion, maybe next time I will.

It s definitively one of my favorite spots on Long Island. The atmosphere there is just suitable for anyone of any age. Their landscape is very well structured and it is a very photogenic place if you love taking radical pictures ( like I do) the price is reasonable which I like a lot. If you love history this is one of the places on Long Island you MUST not miss. This mansion is the clear example of the gilded age of Long Island along with the OHEKA castle and Vanderbilt mansion.

I purchased one adult ticket and one student ticket. This was well worth the pricing. Parking on sight and plenty of social distancing. There are white marked arrows that help guide you to the main sections of the garden. It was a bit hot so definitely bring comfortable shoes and lots of water with snacks. You can definitely bring a blanket to lay down on the grass especially during the nice weather. Worth every penny.

Enjoyed spending the afternoon at old Westbury gardens. Fair admission fee ($11), comes with a free tour of the mansion. They were caught off guard when we showed up in a group of 10 people that we didn't call ahead. Nonetheless, we we're about to get a tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about all the details of the house and family who lived there. Tour was about an hour. After the tour, you can explore the grounds and outdoor gardens. Lots of beautiful flowers. Great venue for a wedding or special event. They have a few picnic style tables outdoor available for a picnic lunch.

This is a magnificent property and I highly recommend driving out to see it! Parking is included in your admission of $12 at the gate and that's pretty much the only money u need to enjoy the day.

What great day (last Saturday) at the mansion and gardens. The Jon S Seward exhibit was very enjoyable. Beyond that...the place is a wonderful day trip. The mansion tour was extremely interesting, giving great insight to the daily lives of this gold coast family. The ground and the gardens are in excellent condition, maintained by the family trust,. An overall great day trip.

This place is under construction and they are charging full price per person, they remove all the statues from the site. Why you pay for full price when you don t have access to location properly ? I will recommend to first contact the location ask if the site is under renovation
