Not sure how James Herlihy is still an officer or how that sicko isn't behind bars

Officer harassed me my friend and her boyfriend making us all late to work none of us had done anything or violated any laws

They police officers were extremely gentle when they handcuffed me. The patrol car was nice and I had plenty of space. Overall very professional, I will get arrested by them again, for sure. 10/10 Experience

I just watched that disturbing incident with James Herlihy and the lady on the bike . He should be removed from the police .If he is not that just shows the corruption in this department .

I had a wonderful experience with these officers!! I was on my Harley stopped at a stop sign and an idiot started backing up toward me and after I screamed at blew my horn he slammed right into my bike nearly severing my left hand which was on my handlebar. I went flying and my bike slammed to the ground barely missing my leg and the jerk was very sweet and helpful all while helping me pick my bike up off the ground and set it upright and constantly asking if I'm ok. He said he didn't see me and he was very sorry. Once the wonderful bicycle cops arrived he did a 180 and turned into a demonic A-hole blaming me and saying it wasn't his fault!!! The police ripped him a new one and scolded him for not looking behind him while in reverse and he always needs to look for motorcycles, bikes and pedestrians!! They let me take pics of his drivers license and insurance and his SUV. I'm calling OCPD today to request the police report since the dumb driver is denying fault causing a 2 month delay in starting the repairs. This happened the beginning of October and now it is the end of November. I hope they did a full detailed report that way his insurance knows that he is the douche that I described. Just seen the disturbing abuse of power done by officer James Herlihy but I highly doubt anything will be done about it. No wonder people have so little respect for those who are paid to protect us. I wonder if his motives were based on an actual complaint or if he just likes to bully innocent people, very creepy indeed.

Police are not great. Ticket writers mostly. Would suggest steering clear of these incompetent people.

Not very helpful. I was trying to help a lady out that I just witnessed someone trying to take her purse and run off with it. I was going to give them a descriptive report on what the guy looked like and everything so maybe they could catch this guy, but no the victim has to do the report. I don't want anyone to experience this because my purse wasnt even being taken and my heart rate and anxiety went through the roof so I cant imagine how she felt. Unbelievable service . Disappointed.

my vehicle was broken into in the Quail Springs area and substantial damage was done to my vehicle and personal items stolen such as two pistols laptop and cash. I contacted the police department and they refused to come to the scene or review any video tapes of the thieves accessing my credit cards at convenience stores. I experienced another theft at Quail Springs parking lot yesterday and I believe it would be a waste of time even calling them. It seems thieves in this area have a free run at any type of crime that they desire. They are very unprofessional and rude people to deal with.

I will say that in years past, I had (unpleasant?) encounters with the OCPD, in that they did what they were hired to do. I broke the law, they arrested me. Last time was some 37 odd years ago.

I know the officers are doing their jobs, and they do it well.
This morning at approximately 3:30, I was leaving my travel trailer in an RV park and noticed an OCPD patrol unit driving through the park. I didn t see the unit number, so I will thank ALL of you men and women in the uniform THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT SERVICE YOU PROVIDE!!!!!!

We take nice police works as granted sometimes. I just want to appreciated one good police work happened the morning of 11/03/2018. The OKCPD officer sergeant Maly #1752 was answering a dispute between a minority woman who speak poor English with an uber/taxi driver. Although the officer could not stop the taxi driver to drop this woman at a wrong address which that woman confused about; he tried to ask where she was going and offered to take her there. However, this woman was a little startled while siting at the back of a portal car until she called me to interpret. I told her officer Maly which he identified himself was just wanting to help her so she was gladly to take the police car to greyhound bus station. I thanked the officer on the phone to appreciate him demonstrated the meaning of protect and service. I believe most of police officers are doing the right thing. If you think you are right and they are wrong, just ask their name and badge number to file a complain. Hold their accountability by remember their name! That is the name tag for. If there are too many complains against one individual, I think their superior will do something about it. By end of day, we all will answer to God, so make peace in your heart.

Non-emergency number operators that I've contacted are the rudest humans on this planet. The officers are always kind and helpful though. It's unfortunate that the department is tarnished by some hateful bitties in the office.

Yet, Taylor and Assistant District Attorney Gayland Gieger misled the jury on this point. And significantly, Det. Gregory publicly expressed his own similarly erroneous and unscientific views about transfer DNA.

Just had my first dealings with OCPD since moving to OK. Left town for a funeral and saw that evening my garage door was open. Officers were at house within 15 minutes, looked around and closed the door.

Was rear ended by an OKC police officer and it took them over a week to sign the accident report stating it was their fault which delayed the insurance process. Also was told multiple times that I could come pick up the accident report from their office and upon arriving, was told that the report had still not been signed and wasn't available and to call and come back later.

I'm glad I have a 4 way dash camera. I recommend the rest of okc citizens do the same. It will pay for itself if you get pulled over falsely just once. And there is no side of the car for the cops to hide on. Keep your phone recording for audio when they tell you to get in their car. Cops hate cameras.

I have great respect for the police department & what they do,
but I was the person who was hit by another driver. The officer who
worked the accident was very discourteous to me. He called me
a jerk, and told me of his rank along with his great status in the
police department. He also called the person who caused the
accident a jerk. The person who caused the accident left the
scene prior to the officers arrival.

Called to report a man that had been drinking all morning out side my place off work, we were detailing the mans car, showed up with a beer inside his truck smelt like beer and had a ice chest full of beer!, and continued to drink out side all morning, when the officer showed up, all he said was the man isn't drunk and cant do anything till he operates his vehicle! then the officer left! He did not even wait until we were done with cleaning the mans vehicle, he just left, with the man knowing that we called the police! so much for serve and protect!!! It just upsets me and the rest of the employees here, knowing that the cop did nothing! What if the man did something after the officer left! you never know what people are capable of. rather if the man was drunk or not he had been drinking and driving. and Buzzed driving is drunk driving. So thanks a lot officer! You could have at least stayed till the man left since you "couldnt" do anything.

I sure hope something is done about this James Herlihy he should be ashamed and this whole police department should be ashamed. What the hell is going on with the training of the people here to protect us

You all need to keep your dogs on a shorter leash, the way that dog treated that lady on the bike is unacceptable, train those dogs better.

It is unbelievable that James Herlihy was even hired by the department in the first place. He is clearly unfit to be an officer and I hope that no other officers in the department behave the same way.

I've had 3 break-ins too, in just one month. Front white lady at this station is always nice, but other people are not helpful at all. I visited here today to talk, explain, discuss about the burglar and evidences left in my house, but instead, they treated me as a delivery man. They took my file and that's it. Looks like they have time to trespass into my backyard and put $100 parking ticket on my car, but no time to investigate this serious burglary.

These officers are a joke and an embarrassment to good law officers across this state and country. Wrongfully attested my brother because the officer couldn't read or type in the proper serial number to a firearm. Then goes on calling him everything in the book and causing over 9k dollars in damages to his mustang. They admit it was a mistake on arresting him but they won't expunge it from his record nor are they wanting to pay for the damages to the car or reimburse him money out for bond or impound fees. Oklahoma City police department is very crooked and a disgrace to the people they swear to protect.

Was planning a bike trip around your country eventually but I think I'll be spending my money somewhere else thanks. Officer James Herlihy convinced me quite enough.

Must say, had the best experience today with #okcpd. I admittedly got pulled over doing 18 over on I-235 today. Wow! What an experience, the police officer introduced himself in a polite manner, grabbed my info and walked back to his undercover squad car. Faster than I could have gotten my mcdonalds he was back with a ticket! It was amazing, obviously it's a crappy experience anyway but at least it didn't take up much of my day! I was excited after shooting the best game of golf In my life so I was driving a tad fast, but what an adrenaline rush, never had a ticket before. #firsttimeforeverything. #memorieswithfriends.

Served honorably in the military...traveling staying at the holiday inn and never in my life have I met such disrespectful rude entitled people in my life. I wasn't even apart of anything or the call they got and they walk into the hotel and tell me to go to my room or get arrested. I literally was holding a conversation with the front desk and they told me it's private and to leave immediately. This right here is why there's a war on cops and it's only gonna get worse. This right here is why a cop is getting his a** handed to him on the side of the road and nobody stops to help. Smh I've defended them for too long and now I can honestly say there needs to be a change and they caused whatever happens in the future in regards to the cops vs citizens war.

I have had three break-ins on our block on just a few weeks... The police won't even try to get a full investigation on the situation...we feel that the police honestly don't care about us or ours property.. it's frustrating to think that officers of the law don't care or won't even try to solve crimes I believe we should get cops in the narea that actually care about the south east side of town....

The actions of officer James Herlihy against the woman riding her bicycle are absolutely deplorable. This officer deserves to be fired for this conduct as he has no regard for the laws of Oklahoma or the U.S. Constitution. He did care at all about violating the civil rights of a citizen that he is supposed to serve as his actions were fully recorded on his body cam.

Having several family members and friends acively envolved with law enforcement ranging from city police, to county sheriff, Department of Public safety, and even a Texas Ranger I have ALWAYS supported the LEO over everything else as I was able to see LEO for who they really are! However, this person James (He does NOT deserve to be called an Officer) is the reason why today so many citizens are afraid and completely disrespect the uniform. There was a time when parents told their children if they were aver afraid, lost, or in fear to always trust and find the nearest officer for help. No parent will ever utter that phrase to their child in Oklahoma City! The fact that the Oklahoma City Police Department was more than happy to NOT find anything wrong in his actions (really, handing over her drivers license like a weapon?!!). Next he will shoot the next citizen that is handing him their wallet as he will interpret that he thought it was a loaded handgun!! This person has no right to continue wearing the badge as he is a danger to all citizens in Oklahoma and he is a danger to other officers who will now be suspect by citizens of Oklahoma due to James treating innocent people in such a hostile way! I pity the next rookie recruit that has to endure training under James!

I called because a meth head tried to break into my home and wouldnt leave my property. 25 minutes pass and the meth head leaves but still no cops. 5 min later a cop drives by but he doesnt even tap his brakes. Just so you understand how little he cared, and how quickly he drove by; I was standing behind my front door watching through the window and I went outside as soon as I saw him. He was already down the street by the time i got out into the middle of the yard and tried to wave him down. He kept driving. I called the okc pd just after that happens and explain all of this to them. They tell me that he will come right back to my house. Another 20 minutes pass before i see the next police officer. So lets put this into perspective, i called about a meth head trying to break into my home and refusing to leave my yard and it took nearly an hour for a police officer to come to my door?!?! I can have pizza delivered faster than that. And THEN he tells me theres nothing that can be done and leaves. Lesson i learned, police are damn near irrelevant and if you have a problem, solve it yourself cause they wont be there in time to save you anyways.

I was hit by another driver while changing my tire, called OKC police for assistance, they did little help other then block traffic and failed give other driver ticket for almost killing my 1yr son. Now I have nothing of other driver info because the officer send him away with Pat on back and left with damages to car and emotional impact of the event...

I used to be a truck driver for CRST. The terminal is on Morgan Rd and I think the cop's name is Sgt McCullen or something similar to that name. I was wrongfully written a speeding citation for a work zone speed limit in 2012 and I was not even in the work zone. I had already passed through and passed the regular 40 mph speed limit sign. I even took the safety manager to the block number Sgt McCullen wrote on my citation and we took pictures. I hired a local lawyer (huge mistake). I should not have hired a local lawyer but I was disappointed with the judge too. This hurt my CDL with points when I was not even guilty of speeding.

Came to answer a domestic complaint for my neighbor and ran over my cat in a DRIVEWAY. Like 6 cars busted in and came thru the driveway. The cat wasn't even in the road. They just didn't care to avoid killing my cat.

If I could leave -1 stars I would. Called to have police come onsite a hit and run. Gave them location. Waited 30 minutes nobody showed up then received a call from the department asking if I still wanted the police to show up. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? told them to forget about it at that point. Told the lady on the phone We didn t need them at that point we had figured it out and then she said well thankfully you didn t die, bye . Ridiculous- as someone who just moved to OKC, this really makes the city seem lousy and unsafe.

OCPD busts their ass. And yes, on occasion, yours too if you mess up. But that's their job and the new HQ is great both from a management standing and a beautification of an area that so needed it.

I just watched a video where Corp. D. Fulton took it upon himself to demand ID and illegally detain a citizen outside the Dept of Human Services. Fulton claimed that the man had been trespassed from the building (not true) and that he was causing a disturbance (also not true).

Fulton went on to claim that the man had violated Hippa Law -- I'd like to know how he is an expert in Hippa when he doesn't even seem to understand the first or fourth amendment.

Furthermore Fulton refused to get a supervisor when asked to do so. He also referred to the man as an "ignorant person," because he Fulton didn't like him exercising his rights.

Fulton threatened the man with arrest, when he had committed no crime.

As a former LEO, I was very disturbed by Corp. Fulton's behavior and lack of knowledge of the Constitution to which he swore his oath.

Outrageous behavior from officers and civilian employees at the headquarters main office. Not only were they rude and condescending but they are ignorant of basic photography and press rights. They need to be fired or at least give them more training.

Told me to call if i had any questions about a ticket. I've called four times now. First two, i was put on hold then the line was disconnected. Third time, i was on hold then in silence until i hung up after 8 minutes. Fourth time, it rang until i recording said this "mobile customer" could not pick up.

Extremely disappointing service. They do hard jobs and deal with terrible situations but they also ignore common sense and make law abiding citizens extremely frustrated in the process at times. Allowing a company to buy the police at times is beyond acceptable and ethical yet large companies constantly pay them to impose restrictions on citizens who live in and support the community.

I had a lady breck in my house and vandalize my flowers the two officers said I had no grounds to stand on and it was ok 4 her to harass me.. Oklahoma city what happened to the integrity of the people who are living by the rules and obeying the laws ... I called the okpd today asking for a welfare check to be done to my folks, I live in Dallas Texas and the officers accommodated the check really quick, with out hesitation and determination the officer did the welfare check and still took his time to call me and advised me that my folks were ok. I thank you man and woman in okpd your hard work is highly noticed I moved from okc not by choice but due to work I do miss the friendliness and honor this officers work in the city. I and my 3 kids were trapped in the flood this morning and the City Police came to our rescue, they helped cleared and controlled traffic and the Police officer behind us took me and the kids on his Vehicle to a safe location including a 5months old baby. I want to thank them for their tremendous service, am proud of you all, God bless you.

Refused to come out when I reported a worker on my property as threatening to destroy property, and being menacing, refusing to leave after the worker refused to clean up, finish the job and demanded payment or half. Worker instructed to leave because of escalation, and I notified police because I suspected perhaps drug use/ behavior was erratic. Office first asked was it a Black man and I said no it was a white man. Then the situation was completely minimized to a " civil dispute' Officer said don't engage if he returns, responded by saying he does not have the right to return to private property, and officer said yes he does something to the affect of if he was not paid. I was floored and VERY UPSET THROUGHOUT THE PH call. New to the city and state, and in disbelief that erratic threatening behavior did not warrant a dispatch to the address. I made it clear that I thought this worker would return, and he was asked to leave because his behavior escalated erratically, and payment was irrelevant at this point.
The erratic behavior prevented payment vs being dissatisfied with work. Communication was very clear and had a witness listening as I answered the call.from the police who said he was too far to come over to residence and would take the report by phone.

OKCPD Records Department, they have always been very professional, courteous, and kind.

Constitution is still the Constitution. Feel Free to hurt Innocent people AFTER Your federalized.

When I went, this week, to this precinct to make felony with other complaints about numerous threats on me by the felonious staff and others of the downtown library, the police and others threatened me with fists and firearms.
I was assaulted by a woman over 300 lbs verbally and with her fists while I was the only one sitting on the benches inside. The male cop threatened me verbally, and the two cops at the open desk menaced me with their firearms.
Afterwards a detective using an alias would not take my written complaint, and he contradicted himself with lies etc.
Afterwards, while at the downtown bus station, felons with felonious staff threatened to kill me verbally with one of the false complaints made at the downtown library. They said 'they would kill me for this movie actress.'

I just saw a video on YouTube about a woman riding a bicycle getting stopped by Officer Herhley (spelling). This cop blatantly violated the woman's rights. The woman was not combatative, but she wanted to know what she was being stopped for. The cop handcuffed and detained her for no reason. The cop also lied when he said the woman tried to attack him with her ID. His body cam shows her calmly extending her arm out and holding it there so he can see the ID. The officer also went rummaging through the woman's purse. Officer Herhley should be fired violating the 4th Amendmanet of the Constitution. American citizen better start pushing for draconian liars like the cop above to be fired. It is going to get a lot worse. Protect and serve should not be your police department's motto. Your motto should be punish and enslave.

After watching the deplorable act committed by officer James Herlihy. I do not believe this is how a civil servant supposed to act. Accused an innocent woman and cuffed her without stating any reason for detaining her. Absolutely no respect for his own job, and no respect for the citizens he swore to protect. The Oklahoma City police department should evaluate their officers for their performance so such things do not happen again.

I went in 5-10-18 just to make a records request. The police officer at the information counter was very kind and helpful. He provided me a great resource to help with my situation. His empathy and kindness towards me was much appreciated. He is a credit to his profession.
