OHLA HOTEL Review

Beautiful hotel with incredible, central location and wonderful, attentive staff. I highly recommend Caelis, the Michelin Star Restaurant. Hope to visit again.

Very good 'hotel modern and contemporary decoration, attentive staff, 1st night single room with electricity pb but the staff reacted very well and quickly moved us to change rooms. Breakfast worthy of a 5 star in the tapas restaurant on the ground floor, fresh fruit, Spanish cold meats, cheese, boiled egg, scrambled eggs, different bread ... Due to covid gym to book but suddenly privatized for 1 hour, top with a sauna. Magnificent rooftop but bar open from Wednesday to Sunday. Swimming pool not heated therefore not possible in winter. Otherwise a magnificent view.
++++ for breakfast, cleanliness and very modern rooms, showers with transparent doors leading to the tip room for couples. decoration, gym, sauna and rooftop view. Too bad that the 2020 Michelin star gourmet restaurant was closed from Monday to Wednesday as well as the bar.

Beautiful hotel in the center of Barcelona, plus the most attentive and helpful staff.

The location of the hotel is great 2 blocks east of la Ramble. The room was clean and has a open concept. The shower is a rain fall head shower love it. Hotel cleaning personal did not honor the do not disturb sign. Every evening they won't knock and ask even with the sign in the door if we wanted them to turn down the bed. They also did not get to our room to clean it until around 245pm or later. Overall we loved the location and view we had from our room 506. The stay included breakfast from 7-11am Continental and some eggs to order.

Excellent location in the center of Barcelona, with maximum attention in everything, we liked the offer and variety with the attention always attentive to some intolerance in breakfast.

Best hotel service. The receptionist is polite and the concierge will answer your questions many times. The smile is very nice. The store I was introduced to was very good. The room was clean and beautiful. It s a very comfortable room, whether you re good at using the space. The rooftop pool is open and comfortable. There were people who enjoyed the scenery with only a drink without using the pool, looking at the street. The security is great without worrying that people who don't move will not move unless they touch the room key when they go up by an elevator.

Amazing hotel, very close to the hop on hop off bus....even for a free bottle of cava and some cake for my birthday!!!

Amazing experience at Ohla Barcelona from the start. Being checked in and treated with local Cava. Jasper giving us a tour of our room/ hotel. Great outdoor, rooftop bar with stunning views. Perfect location. Steps away from Gothic Quarter and some awesome local eateries. From someone that lives in Metropolitan area in the US, it exceeded my expectations. Very clean. Staff friendly and professional. Housekeeping superb. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family. Thank you!!

Ohla! I have enjoyed the pool synchronized swimming show today on the occasion of the activities of "Barcelona terraces" and I have to say that both the organization of the show, the staff, the reception, the Service, friendliness and professionalism have been exceptional, we have made ourselves felt as if we were clients of the hotel. Follow that, you have a high bar and I am proud to have the city where I live in a hotel like yours ... opinions speak for themselves. Congratulations!

Me and my girl stayed at this hotel for two days as we extended a vacation to take in Barcelona. I want to say that they were simply amazing.

1: When we arrived they took our baggage and offered us refreshment. They assured us that even tho we were hours before check in we could drop off our bags. But then on checking they were got us into our room early. That says alot right there. They got us into our room early, hours early, without a trace of being put out.

2: The room was clean, beautiful, and with an amazing view. It came with all the modern conveniences with tastefully done accents. The bed was plump and soft and when we asked for more pillows they brought them up within 30 minutes.

3: On going down to see the city they directed us to the tour companies and helped us find our way around the city. They also gave us a cell phone to use in the city, which was an amazing bonus to staying with the hotel. It allows you to get local maps, make calls, and search the web, and erases itself at the end of your stay.

4: When we left they gracefully allowed us to store our baggage inside the hotel even after our check out time. When we came back they called us a taxi and let us wait in their gorgeous entry way.

This was the definition of service. From the time we entered to the time we left they supported us, guided us and took care of us like family. The staff was wonderful and I will stay at this hotel the next time I am in Barcelona.

While there are many hotels this one won me by accommodating a dumb tourist like me.

Casual space with touches of modern decoration. The staff is quite attentive !!

Only came here for their highly-rated cocktails on the rooftop bar. Service was great. They have seats along the pool, cabana style seating, and also counter bar top seating all along the edges of the rooftop so you can take in the amazing views the place has to offer! Fair warning the cocktails will run you about 20usd a pop but it was worth every dollar! I will definitely be coming back here. Great for couple's, has a very romantic atmosphere, or if you just enjoy rooftops with awesome views and good drinks.

Fantastic hotel. Really great service. The rooftop pool is amazing. The restaurants are phenomenal. Close to all the sights. Highly recommend your stay here in Barcelona.

5 well deserved stars: excellent hospitality, spacious and comfortable rooms, contemporary and original decoration. We are seduced by the rooftop (lounge bar and swimming pool) which offers a magnificent view of the rooftops of Barcelona as well as the wine bar where Catalan and Spanish specialties are served. The hotel team is perfectly at your service, very pleasant and available. I highly recommend this address, impossible to be disappointed!

Friendly staff in all areas (wine bar, pool bar, concierge). Pool is really great, with direct sun during the day. A glass of Cava by the pool is worth the price. Rooms are clean, and cleaned proper daily. Cool vibe to the hotel.

Few customers and 5 waiters and it takes 20 minutes to serve me a Gin Tonic for which they charge 16. With a good service, the site is gladly paid but they have to be better organized

Visited Barcelona in January last year, stayed at Ohla for four nights. Overall, great experience, although it's a boutique hotel in the center of Barcelona, it still has a spacious and quiet room. I went during the winter, so the rooftop bar was closed, but i can imagine in the summer it will be a very popular place to spend the night.

Nice location and friendly staff. Don't use get breakfast at the hotel, buy we did this time. Didn't regret the decision. They have a good quality breakfast. The rooftop pool is a quite small and the terrace prices are quite steep, however the view is nice. It can be crowded during the day.

This was the most enjoyable place to stay. The hotel is clean, in a great location, but the staff is superb. They all went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable. Daniel, Pablo, Albert and the rest of the staff, thank you for an amazing stay and recommendations.

Enjoyed the stay here! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Loved the gym and sauna, loved the restaurants, loved the room. Breakfast was included and it was varied, fresh, plentiful and tasty! We will be back !

This hotel was grand and modern. The workers were very friendly and worked their hardest to make your stay the best they can.

A spectacular terrace with a pool where to have a drink

Service was great. The location is good. Walking distance to La Rambla (10 minutes) and Pl. De Catalunia (4 minutes) and the Gothic quarter (3 minutes). Their breakfast is also great.

Great atmosphere and design, however the food quality did not match the expectations; fish was frozen, service was low and deferred...

Saturdays and Sundays from 6 pm to 10 pm live music with DJ. Spectacular views and cocktails very well made.

A hotel with several spaces to enjoy them in a different way and at the same time form a great set of sensations for a perfect experience. Hotel with very successful and comfortable rooms. Caelis restaurant with a tasting menu with spectacular pairing. The atmosphere and the drinks on the terrace great. The service and the space of the passohla great to savor a great breakfast. Highly recommended in any of its spaces.

The hotel staff are incredibly nice! It is thanks to them that our stay went so well. Whether at the reception, in the breakfast restaurant or in the roof top bar, they are all smiling (you can see it even with the mask!), Willing and helpful! Exceptional, quality staff who take care of you warmly.
The hotel itself is in a great location, the "standard" rooms are quite small but adequate for a city hotel. Too bad that in the room there is not a small bathroom kit with cotton, lime etc.

The employees of the hotel, I repeat, are top notch and really deserve congratulations!

The services were very welcoming since I went to do a job and some questions and they responded kindly. They let me observe their rooms and the truth is that they are very large with many plants, upstairs they have a terrace with a very beautiful pool.

Good hotel despite the confusing elements of surrealist design that turned finding doors and walking down the stairs into a challenge.

The views from the upper terrace are very nice, once a year they are open to the public and they make shows that are very worthwhile. The personnel is very friendly.

Very stylish hotel but apart from the lobby we only saw the spectacular rooftoop. Perfect place to have a short aperitif with a view of Barcelona. I loved it!

We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant La Plassohla. Excellent service and delicious tapas. The mussels and steak were incredible!

Five star hotel with all amenities. It's right on the edge of the Gothic quarter, but not quite in it, so it's a five minute walk to the cathedral, more like ten to the Born and Ribera and Rambla, twenty to the beach; turn north and you're in Eixample in five to ten minutes It's set just a bit off Via Laietena, a major avenue in town, so it's easy to get a cab. There is a breakfast buffet in an elegant downstairs space that opens as a mid-range restaurant during the day. The rooftop has great views, a bar with pleasant niches to enjoy a drink, and a glass enclosed "plunge pool" for a soak. It's not cheap, but it's not expensive for a high end hotel, and this is more of a place than a business trip.( I found it in the "New York Times 36 Hours In ..." series. )

It is a hotel that anyone who visited it would be delighted by its spectacular design for its services and the attention by the entire team of employees who are in it was an indescribable experience, I loved it

Nice atmosphere but you will pay more than most bars

It is located in the heart of Barcelona, and draws attention for its curious facade full of eyes.

Excellent hotel with high quality and great location

The Ohla Gastrobar is an experience to remember. We went there once to check it out, fearing that it would be far too expensive but were pleasantly surprised that the prices were very reasonable although the portions were small. Usually we order a couple of dishes so it doesn't matter that the portions are small. It's more of a tapas concept that a proper dine in. Some of my top favourite dishes are: The Oysters. You will not believe how good these oysters taste! They serve the whole oyster with a little bit of 'salsa' on top and it is just delicious. Next on the list is the suke salmon, canaloni, risoto, cheese wrap, olive bread, and of course the neck of lamb which is just the most moist, tender meat ever! Try too the pork cheek which comes on a bed of sweet potato.

Don't forget to top it all off with some yummy spanish wine! Oh dear. My mouth is watering already. Really a must try! Try going early as they can get pretty busy. Staff are usually friendly and food comes pretty quick unless they are really busy.

If you are really good at holding back, then you can spend as little as 20 per person but expect to pay around 30-35 per person for a proper experience with wine. :)

Nice hotel. Main issues are the wc room with no ventilation and the window that can't be opened. Not acceptable in a 5 stars hotel. Water pressure should be increased as the shower jet is inadequate
