We on first place in the GMCE competition Dayton Cheetah's
I go to many events here every year. The last visit was for the 2018 Equine Affaire. Nice event. The Expo Center is always clean despite the tens of thousands of people that will visit an event there over the course of a week. The shuttle service from the parking lot needs to drop visitors at the gate...not several blocks away.
There might be better fairs somewhere, but the Ohio State Fair is the best I've experienced. So many exhibits, so much to do and the food is amazing in quantity as well as variety!
Attended the Ohio Chinese Lantern Festival. It uses a small section of the Expo Property but well laid out and well worth the expense. The other event that I attend every year is the Goodguys Car show. It fills the entire fairground property and is well worth admission price.
Maybe I just don t come to enough events here and I guess other people don t either when there is a line of cars down the road and multiple cars keep turning around because you only accept cash for parking. It s 2019. There is no reason for that. Especially when the roads are blocked so there s only one way in with no ATM on site.
Nice facilities, traffic management could've been better though.
There is a lot to see and do, including free shows throughout the fairgrounds. Also an assortment of farm animals to go see, and a birthing station to watch some baby animals be born. Alot of good food and sweet goodies. I found that the best tasting and largest amount for your money, if you want cotton candy, caramel and candy apples is at Jenks concessions. Located by the round taste of Ohio building. In between a lemonade stand, and French fry trailer. The Showplace Pavilion is in back of the Candy trailer. They are the best!!!
Went to the fishing expo and had a great time as always
Very clean was at art show all kind of neat stuff very talented people
We're here for the All American Quarter Horse Congress. The facility is fine, but the show has long outgrown this location.
We went to the pet expo. It was fun and we saw a lot of creative ideas for our pets.
I have been there for long time and that exactly why i love this hometown Columbus is best one for me to love this city
Wonderful exhibits and places to shop, eat and relax when needed. Plenty of rides for all ages.
Home and Garden Show...wonderful ideas. Mostly high dollar displays.
Went to the coffee Fest there and was extremely disappointed. Most of the coffees tasted exactly the same and there was no food to be able to cleanse your palate.
Big space and enough facilities. The parking lot should be free.
Great family and friend hangout. Typical fair food. Alligator meat is overrated. I didnt like it fried.
The Artist Clearance Sale is a great success with so many creative and talented artists selling their amazing creations with a discount!!!! Don't miss it when it happens again
Ohio State Fair was very organized and clean. Good for day time fun, but the police told us to leave before dark because 3 fights broke out the night before!!!
Adequate. Lots of parking, but very disordered set-up.
Fabulous venue. I attended a wedding fair there and everything was clean and easy to get to.
So much to do & see. Fairgrounds are kept very clean. A celebration of ALL things OHIO.
Great times at the ohio state fair we love it every year
Golf show was decent but everything was crammed together
My frist state fair loved everything about it great people
Ohio Agriculture at it's best. yes some buildings are old but it's still the best State Fair in the USA!
Great venue, the arts and crafts show we did was excellent.
Every child should get to go to the fair and ride the rides, but the food is overpriced and the drinks are OUTRAGEOUSLY overpriced, shamefully so, it's downright offensive to be charged $5 - $7 for sugar water! Really. I'd rate it 4 stars for the fun but -10 stars for the drink prices.
Where to begin.. This was an awesome experience for the whole family. Tons of rides tons of food and tons of different activities for the kids and parents alike. The pricing was very economical and it had a little something for everybody. The food trucks alone we're worth the trip. Will definitely be worth it to make a long drive to take part in this Fair.
Disappointed when I went to the Fluffy show . I love Fluffy but the turned on the lights he was surprised he still had 25mins. I felt cheated . I don't think he will play there again
Spend time in the livestock barns. That is what a fair is all about.
The fair is a great place to go once a year. Don't go on the free family weekend!
Last day of the fair and it was disappointing. It was dirty, it smelled terrible and I will never go again! I am giving it two stars because the woman at the gate earned them and that's all. Don't waste your time or your money.
I love the State Fair! Great food and it's fun to see the animals. I also love the marketplace shops.
Place is really cool and spacious. Depending on the event parking can be expensive
I was at the Ohio State Fair as a patron. I have worked long hours at the Ohio State Fair several times, as an Ohio State Trooper. I was very proud to see the State Troopers working the State Fair this year doing a very good job of traffic control considering the volume of traffic and the extremely hot weather. The fairgrounds had a lot of patrons on the day I was there and the State Troopers were very visible. I also noticed that the grounds keepers were doing an excellent job of keeping the fairgrounds clean. I was also noticed that the restrooms were kept clean considering the largw number of patrons there on that day. I know that they put in extra effort to do their jobs considering the number of patrons and the extreme heat.
The Ohio state Fair is always a mushroom do. The concerts a d the venue are always top notch!
Enjoyed the festive lights here. Went on an unusually warm night in January. Made this otherwise bleak time of year a real treat.
Great venue. We went here for Sonic Temple Festival 2019. Very nice place. Well taken care of.
Always enjoy the Ohio State Fair. Be prepared for fried foods, spending time and money.
very nice historic buildings... don't follow Google maps
Great smaller woodworking show. Spent too much of my money buying tools!
Went to the RV Show here, I don't really like having to go from building to building when it is so cold. It doesn't work well for large events in the winter.
Is a nice complex but the air conditioner was broke. Hot. Plus you have to pay for parking
I love the Ohio state Fair, but this year Talley entertainment took over the rides. I think their first year, you would think the men working the rides and the company would try harder, but the men were rude and not at all helpful. I will be back to the fair but not with my grandson because of this. Guess what, grand parents have disposable income, they are willing to spend on grandkids. Not this Yia Yia anymore
The state fair didn't seem to be as great this year. It seemed like there were less entries than past years and not as much to see. But this place has a lot of great events throughout the year.
Visited the Ohio Historical museum. Went with my father and brother, stayed about 3.5 hrs. Was a very nice and informative way to spend the afternoon.
