Often serves some very exciting events that rotate through Columbus. The big downside is the parking situation can be a bit hectic and stressful.

The Expo center has a lot of different venues that can accomode many sizes and types of events. There's plenty of parking and the new Cardinal Building is really great. It is much more than just the state fairgrounds.
A great time
Bring the bicarb and don't leave anything behind or it will be deep fried
A fun and educational atmosphere. The people in Ohio are the friendliest you'll ever meet
I only spent one day but it was so much fun!! I loved going to all the boothes and talking to people! I found great prices for good supplies and tack and Fantasia was absolutely AMAZING!!!
If you are a camper you need to go! It was nicely laid out!
Fun and exciting time with lot of choices in food and ride.
Waited over 2 hours in the cold!!! And only let 20 people at a time in. Very unprofessional!!
They could done a lot more in the past more animals and I would of liked the flea market
I was visiting my son, he took me to the Ohio state fair was very nice but, too many tickets to ride the good ones, but i enjoyed myself
Love the fair wish it was longer like back in the day 2 weeks was awesome not 10 days or 8
Lots of parking, took forever to leave after the event though. Plan on waiting a while for traffic to clear.
I went to see the Scott Antique market. The exhibit was great. Venders are friendly and helpful. The heat in the building could have been lower.
Large facilities with multiple buildings and large capacity for parking. Well suited for all kinds of different venues including but not limited to concerts, variety shows, home shows, products shows, etc... can even hold multiple events at one time
Great place and mostly during the Arnold s Sports Festival a lot of fun things to do, games play and just enjoy yourself
The Expo Center needs to figure out how to get people to their buildings when there is a Crew game going on at Mapfre stadium. We were trying to go to a show at the Expo Center and all the traffic was being redirected into Mapfre stadium parking. We knew we shouldn't be paying $15 for parking to go to a home renovation show, and it looked like it was the wrong direction to get to the Expo Center. However, the very rude parking assistant on 17th, would not help us understand where to go, or how to get to the Expo Center building. He just kept yelling at us to go to the Mapfre stadium parking. Eventually, we got him to tell us that it was the same parking for both and we went ahead. Expo Center needs some signage at these intersections to help patrons, since the Mapfre employee stationed there are no help.
Key note if you get in this situation, when we got to the ticket gate, the sign said $15. We would have left if that's what we needed to pay. However, we told the ticket agent we were going to the Home Renovation show and she gave us a $5 pass. This needs to be more clear as well. If we hadn't really wanted to go, we would likely have turned around when we saw the $15 sign. So, let them know where you are going and save $$ on parking.
I don't ride the rides but visit most others things
Had a perfect time at the fair. Recommend French Waffles .
Most events that I have attended were top notch. The facilities are well maintained and clean.
I don't go for rides, just food. But let's be clear, that doesn't excuse the carnies to just sleep in the ticket booths.
Vintage wares and fine junk. The Scott antique show is the weekend after thanksgiving. It s worth checking out
A great place to go and see the history of Ohio. Very awesome exhibits and displays. Well done, very well done!
I went to go see The Commodores play here and Gabriel Iglesias. Best place to see a show.
Very nice place for the PPG Nationals. Clean and well organized venue. Plenty of places to rest in the shade. Well ran!
I enjoyed myself along with my daughter. We tried the fried trio, Oreo, nutter butter, and buckeys.it was fried, sweet heaven! Visted the Budweiser Clydesdale horses, my daughter was amazed how big they were. Overall it was nice, a little hot due to the sun blazing. The Ohio State fair was good this year, I went at 830am for opening day was surprised I got a parking space in the 3rd row
I came here to the library to do some family research, which is free. The rest of the museum isn't free but it's not a bad price
Part of the civil war reenactment. Great event had a blast. Hope we can do it again.
This was my first time there. Went to the Expo Center to see Casting Crowns. Very nice fair.
It was interesting and had something for everyone. Typical fair food it was great.
Went to the Pet Expo that was located on the state fairgrounds. We really disappointed with the Pet Expo. Was not a good variety of items meant for a strong large dog.
the Ohio State Fair was absolutely wonderful and full of surprises who would have known you can go paddle boating fishing kayaking and such at a state fair it makes our County Fair look like a kitty Carnival I also realized that it would take us about 2 days to see everything so next year we will book a hotel that way we can see it all weekend long it was fantastic and we loved every second of it
Home to the Ohio State Fair. Rides, lights, games, fun, and just an all around great time. An extremely large venue which host many large events.
Bring the family, the kids, or just go by yourself. You're going to have a great time.
Plus, who doesn't love all the fair food you can shovel in you mouth.
And games, games, games!
When the fair rolls around, grab your gear and go.
