Ohio Expo Center & State Fair Reviews

It's an annual adventure, either 5 stars (which it is for us) or 1!

Hallway is too narrow for the volume of people at large events. Secondary entrances to the main performance space are choke points and cause more backups. It took 30 minutes for us to get from our seats and exit the building at the end of the show.
Air conditioning can't keep up with the heat generated from the crowd (84 degrees outside at showtime).
Seats are narrow and hard for an hour and a half show.

There was ample leg room, but barely any space for people to walk past to get to seats.

They don't tell you there's a $25.00 parking fee when you come for a concert.

Huge facility. Not in the best part of town. Camping prices are outrageous.

During the state fair we were able to go inside, have lunch, enjoy the ac and shop local crafters. This building is always one of our stops while spending a day at the fair.

Not bad as far as fairs go but not the food selection/variety you expect from a state fair

The Ohio State Fair is by far the best fair around! This year they had the ENTIRE MOON LANDING CARVED OUT OF BUTTER! Not to mention all of the amazing fair food and activities for all ages. I especially love the Department of Natural Resources area where you can play with Smokey the Bear, kayak, and see live shows everyday all for FREE! The best place to park is off of the 111th street exit at the DNAP food Pantry. Its only $5 dollars and all proceeds go toward the food pantry, what could possibly be a better use for your money?!?!?

I went to see my favorite band perform and they were excellent! The SOS BAND!!!!!

The Ohio State Fair. World famous. Locally infamous. Come hungry. Come with cash. Something for everyone. If you only do one fair make it this one. Rides. Games. Entertainment. Livestock. Butter sculpture

It was very great and open people were very courteous there and they have a lot to share

We went here for the equine affaire and we had the best experience, also we go here for the deer and turkey expo it s all so legitly awesome!!!

Have a lot of vendors. But small building. Might be better in warmer months. We went in March. Was crowded. Plenty to choose from. Check it out!!!

It was nice and had a lot to see and do but too crowded. It was probably mostly because Fluffy was there.

I love the fair. We normally go every year or every other year. Fair food is just different than anything else. It s always busy & parking normally stinks. Sometimes long lines and people are sometimes rude. But what do you expect at a fair???

Enjoyed the #midwestvaporexpo here! That's the only reason this place gets 5 stars from me haha

I've been going to the Ohio State Fair for years and it's still as good as the first time.

I've come here for numerous events such as the fair and concerts. It's always well organized and clean.

One of the biggest and best fairgrounds in the nation. Outstanding!

Had a great time at the Good Guys car show. Ride the tram and visit the old barns. Great place to take the kids. Every year the car show is the weekend after the 4th of July.

Just saw STYX and Cheap Trick there. Great place for Ohio State Fair concerts.

A lot of things to do, plenty of fair food to eat. Great vendors, exhibits and animals.

Biggest fair I've ever seen. Great food, concerts and livestock shows.

Good setup for a gymnastics meet. Easy buildings to navigate. Close parking.

I was here for the one night Columbus church gathering and I had an awesome time. We do this every year, come out next spring and worship with us!

At Kasich Hall held a Renovation expo. Companies came in for home renovation and we were able to talk directly to people who work on rooms of your home. Very informative!!

Showplace and convention center all kinds of different things happen here

The best state fair facilities in the nation (ok, I cannot substantiate that statement, but seriously, it is impressive).

Waited outside for two hours in the freezing cold. Extremely unorganized with absolutely no help from the employees. They oversold and didn't let the last 500 people in. Worst concert experience ever.

Great place and a lot of neat gizmos to look at and see

They have a lot of great events at the Ohio expo center year round!

No hot water for animal baths, and cold tap is being run fridged. This is a place where the state is supposed to show off many of our competition pets, and there is no way to clean them the night before without causing hypothermia.

We went to the Aladine Shrine Circus. It made the mark for my daughter but for me it was lack luster at best. Some of the show was took too far to the right which allowed that side to have the best view. Should have been more centered. And the clowns were less than comically funny. As to why the 3..my daughter enjoyed it. Mission accomplished.

Parking and signs to exit for event is very confusing. The event was wonderful.

Equine affair is Amazing! I go every year and learn something new each time!

IT WAS WONDERFUL.. THE SECURITY WAS GREAT.. HANDSOME... OFFICERS.. FRIENDLY.. FOOD GREAT. SO MUCH TOO SEE.. THIS YEAR WAS AWESOME. ..

Easy enough to get to but charges for parking and highway robbery for events not to mention food.
