Parking is not clearly labeled and event signage is not always visible from the street; this can make parking very difficult. Grounds are pretty; however some areas are far better maintained than others.

Been going here for years. The swapmeet used to be large. Now its maybe half the size sometimes a third. Don't go very much anymore as it's not worth the drive. Usually only go when there's something in particular I want. No more browsing for the afternoon.

Come here a few times a year (swap meet). The number of vendors on site can be hit or miss. Have been here when its packed, and have seen probably less than 50% of the spaces with vendors. If you walk around, and know specifically what you are looking for, you can find good deals. Need to shop though. You can find like items at multiple vendors with much different prices.

To all the whiners, Don't care about "the old days"!!: I LOVE THE FAIR!!

I live LA & work in blooming Downtown LA and attend at least 10 days each year. I make a point not to miss the GREAT cover bands and sanctioned artist interpretations from MJ, Prince, to ABBA, Queen and David Bowie.

My Day 1 routine involves ribbon fries covered in cheese sauce. I prepare for it by having tea and a light breakfast & salad for lunch. Day 2 is Funnel Cake. I tend to stay away from the trendy "deep fried (fill in the blank)" items, though. The 18inch corn dog is a new tradition started last year. I'll have to get that on Thursday.

As it is once a year I make a point to enjoy it. The LA Fair is too far and way, way too hot & dusty. Yes it "realer" as the old folks say but parking is expensive and not very well managed.

As I have friends in the OC, the Fair serves a dual purpose of overall fun and time together.

I attended a bridal fair at the OC Fair & Event Center. The one thing I really liked is this fairgrounds is huge. Multiple entrances and plenty of space to park. Whenever you have event like this, it s always good to know where you are going. They had plenty of signs and staff directing people do you don t get lost or frustrated

First time to the OC Fair and I loved it took my 3 kids on the opening day and they enjoyed themselves (well at least 2 of them since my one year was too small to go on any of the rides except the carousel...) definitely coming back enjoyed it more than the LA Fair.

The fair is an awesome place to bring the whole family. Be prepared to spend some cash because food, rides and games get pricey. The live entertainment is definitely fun to watch, especially the hypnotist!

Went to see the Urban Legends Halloween drive thru and it was so disappointing I'm actually upset at the amount I spent to see this show. I was promised scares and fun and was met with poor acting and nothing of horror at all. The description for this drive thru was misleading and would request a refund if they were available. I can see now why they aren't refundable.

Jam packed with rides and amazing, diet busting food. The Traxxas show was super fun for my toddler. My only complaint is how subjective the height requirements seem. Hopefully you're 3 and a half feet tall, otherwise plan on lots of games!

I don t know where to post this, but this is good enough. The OC fair staff are generally friendly, but there a certain few who don t understand how wheel chairs work. My girlfriend and I visited, and she has to ride in a wheelchair due to her chronic pain issues. When we got on the Skyride, the staff letting us on were generally friendly and let us leave the wheelchair at the front. They radioed to the other side of the ride, telling them that we were on a round-trip ride since obviously my girlfriend can t get off. However, once we got to the other side, we were forced off and told to wait in line even though she couldn t physically stand. So yea, 1 star for inconsiderate staff

What has happened to the fair?! It is so expensive now!! It's seriously $15 per ride. And the game's cost anywhere from $10 to $15 for one turn. :-( the food is good but again these prices are outrageous. We used to like to spend a couple hundred at the fair, but not from just walking down the street! It was $5 for one ear of corn.
