I work in another obi market and was curious about this one.
Very large and clear. Very clean and a lot of staff present. Very friendly. I was very satisfied and got nice things that don't exist in my market.

Unfortunately for the most part no trained staff who are happy to avoid you ....

Attention own prices! You pay 30 and 50% more people here than any other Obi. Purest rip off.

Good supermarket for DIY items. Not exactly cheap but good enough.

Since they realized that more then 50% of thier customers came from, Switzerland, ...they raised thier prices step by step,to almost Swiss price level.
Example ? Yes, here we go ...try to buy Silicon Spray for your Car, in Swiss you can get it for about 4,- CHF ( Do it ) ...and try buying this here at OBI, you have to pay at least about 7,50,- EUR ( and No, it does not depend on the Brand , it was the cheapest they got in thier Store :(
My advice would be; compare thier prices carefully, you will be surprised.
About thier selection of goods? well, it does not matter if you go to Bauhaus, Do it, Obi or any other Big chain, they al carry at least all the Main Brands, so there is not really a difference, but the Employees are better trained then those of Do it, or Bauhaus, ...but that will of course as allways depend on your Personal experience with one of them.

If you know what you are looking for, the shop is good, but you need help to order or you are looking for what is lost, because one does not lift a finger for the other, my conclusion to the employees stink with laziness sorry

I paid more than 100 euros to cut the wood into two square sections, but the work was only partially done, I had to finish the work at home with unsuitable tools, very disappointed with the work done, next time I will go where there are professionals in the industry

Fairly large selection at reasonable prices. Selection of plants in the garden department was a bit disappointing, at the end of July no more pond plants.

Toilet seat ordered, serviced 1 month, paid over 130. DOES NOT FIT.

Man this place is huge. It's actually 3 Obi joined together - construction, general DYI and garten.
They have almost everything they stock (which sadly does not include WD40 kettenreiniger :/) at very reasonable prices.

Insanely high price for incredibly poor quality:
LUX TOOLS are a huge mess.
I guess this "Emil Lux" leads a decadent life.
The bolts break regularly, the steel is likely to be stretched. Don't build anything with it!

Large and well-stocked hardware store. In the entrance area there is a bakery including a cafe and the usual snacks. The price level of the hardware store tends to be at the upper level. Usually enough staff present and good advice possible. The hardware store is often completely overcrowded due to the proximity to Switzerland and the associated high purchasing power. On Saturdays you should know exactly what you need because there are significantly fewer staff and these are mostly temporary jobs (subjective impression). I find the regulation that the shopping baskets MUST be handed in at the checkout as extremely customer-unfriendly. I recently had 14 items for about 150 which I would have had to carry to my car or the "opportunity" to buy a bag. I decided to get a bag out of the car and walk the path twice. It is clear to me that the "finding away" of the baskets should be prevented, but I think there are better solutions for this. The customer toilets are clean and the cleaning schedule is understandable.
All in all almost alternative and unrivaled in this area.

1 point deduction due to the friendliness of the export certificate. The staff there is probably a punishment at the information booth in front, at least that's how it sometimes seems to me.

Today drove to Obi. Not only that one stands constantly in the traffic jam because of the customs clearance, one gets the commodity smoothly 1, - more expensive than on the price tag described. Advertised building material with 1.99 you get at the cash register for 2.99. We pointed out the price difference and were then ignored for 30 minutes and then petted unfriendly that it was described wrong and you have no legal claim. But hello and thanks. Car was left and driven to the building materials trade of confidence. The things are even carried into the car.
Since the Toom is gone, the quality not only lags behind the goods, too bad

Was there on Tuesday and wanted to order a frame for a door, unfortunately the staff ignored me for 5 minutes even though I had tried three times to get in touch. Back then, I was given very unfriendly and uninterested advice. Then I was asked to go to the service desk to solve the order, whereupon I stood 10 minutes before the lady and she ignored me. I didn't even get the information if she would have time for me soon. After 10 minutes I was finally able to pay and leave. It would be great if you were a little friendlier and more attentive to customers.

Reserved things I would be there in the number as Reserved. The reserved things would not be ready packed where I came, employees left a stupid and silly answers given. If you can not keep the service on the internet, you should not offer it.

Simply the best OBI market. Huge selection and 99.9% competent and friendly staff. Clean, tidy and right prices between award and cash. A downer is the approach from the west. The B34 through Waldshut is almost always with traffic jams.

Bad advice, bad quality. I only go in here every now and then because it's the only hardware store in the area. Every time there are problems. Either wrong, unfriendly advice, wrong receipts, or defective products, something is always.

Borrowed a diamond drill. Unfortunately, the machine stopped every few seconds - it was hardly possible to work with it.

When it was returned, I was told - "No, everything on the machine is OK, it must be like that". For me that is a bit questionable.

In addition to the rental price, an additional 10% liability insurance was taken from me. The rent is really steep - I was very annoyed about it, especially since no one told me when I borrowed that I would have to take out insurance for the rent. Unfortunately, you only get that when you get this deducted from the deposit.

Like every Obi hardware store, only what is on sale is inexpensive. Unfortunately only the usual hardware store quality. We have specialty shops in the region for each "OBI area", which offer better quality at lower prices. In addition, the cash register is usually overcrowded. Advice zero.
