Oakley's Wine Bar Review

Nice little country bar with great food. The patio area is my faveee.

Fun atmosphere, adequate food. Little pricey and very slow service. We are huge fans of dive bars, and this one is somewhat in between. We were in early in the evening on our way back to Tarrant county so relatively quite. However, appears to hold the potential to get rowdy, maybe especially on the weekends. Hence, their strict dress code. Certainly did not seem like a family place, but smoking is limited to the patio. The bathroom situation was a little weird, but I enjoy ... abnormal architecture. The patio is the reason to keep coming back, so if you find your self hungry for a nice patio with decent food stop by Oakley's.

closest thing you can get to a titty bar with out actually titties. The prices are a little on the higher end. but i suppose your paying for the view. which brings me to the main problem as well. the servers/bartenders there are have no customer service or bar tending skills. Lets get it straight, its a mediocre bar that's only lifeline is the hot girls that are hired solely based on there physical appearance & willingness to serve in a 2 pieces.

Had a good time. Bartender was very nice and took the extra effort to research how to make a Maitai (spelling?) drink. Dance floor was a bit tiny but probably due to some space taken up by the Christmas trees. Very warm and friendly atmosphere. Great tv's to watch sports.

Cool bar. They have a deck where you can smoke & it has a cover & heaters to help protect against the elements.
Food is pretty good, too.

This is yet another example of poor management at Oakley's Bar and Grill. Shocking that someone would portray their business in this manner online. The attached photo shows how the owner responded to one of the members in our party after we had a disappointing experience. Inappropriate and just simply unprofessional.

It was okay, At best. Only because it was clean, looked nice, and the bartender was nice. It took over 15 mins to get chips and queso. I was told before we arrived someone ordered onion rings, and still hadn't gotten them - 45 minutes later.

This place is awesome! Love the atmosphere, the people, and although i haven't eaten there, i have seen some plates and smelled the food! The next time i go??? I'm eating there! Go b4 7 pm and meet one of the bartenders Marissa. She's the best!

Best lunch special in Waco! Food is great with a big selection. Had the grilled redfish. Will go back for supper to try something different.

Fun little dive. Good German nachos and lobster-balls (who knew lobsters even had 'em?) Coin operated pool tables and good service.

I can't believe the food is actually good here. The patio is cool to hang out on too.

First time ever ordering at oakley's and the last. I ordered a chicken fried steak, took it home to eat and when I opened the togo box I new right off it wouldn't be a good experience. The chicken fried steak was very dark brown and instead of the battery being crispy it was soft and when I lifted it up out of the Togo box onto my plate my hand and fingers had grease all over them. This can only mean one thing that is was cooked in very old and dirty grease. I called and explained what the ordeal was and all I got was excuses. The lady on the phone asked me if I wanted a manager to call me back the next day since he wasn't there at the time and I said yes please and guess what still waiting on the phone call. I would not recommend anyone to go there.
So day three and still no phone call.

You shouldn't have to check if you had any kind of good management I called less than two hours after I picked up my order they took my name and number and said that management would call me back the next day. So this leads me to believe that the management knows that my accusations are true and did not want to face me , just another reason never to go back and to tell friends not to give their business here. Oh yea it's now been ten days with no phone call.

Went in for a couple of beers with friends and Oakley's now have a grill. We were all surprised. The food was great. The waitresses we're friendly and on point with the service. Everything has been updated and it's really nice. Great job. We enjoyed it

Fun, casual spot Gd Service @ the inside bar consistently! Gd prices, relaxed atmosphere, Great place to meet & Hang with Friends! Go often.

It was comfortable, not crowded. When I found out they have a menu and serve food, I was expecting something like George's. They serve breakfast, but they don't open until 11am. Need more waiters/waitresses on staff. A little more expensive on the food than I anticipated $$. If you need a menu, ask for one, but they weren't quick to get 1. Drinks were good and not expensive on a Sat. Early evening.

I went in here for the first time in a few years and was pleasantly surprised. It definitely has improved. I did wait a bit long for a drink due to being looked over a few times. Maybe I'll try it out again soon to see if it was just a off night for the bartender. If so I'll gladly raise my rating.

They told me to leave for wearing a normal Vans tank top. On my way out I noticed the sign by the door that had a dress code that the bartender informed me was enforced after 7:00pm. The rules are the same classic bar rules that appear to be written to keep African Americans out of their bar.

If this is your kind of vibe, then by all means, go and pay a visit. I just wanted to sit down and grab a beer, but I won t be going back.

I was ask for Id then drivers liscence and passport. When asked ( an id can be made at the flea market ) . I checked there has been no recent crack downs on fake ids being made in the fleamart .Waco whats really going on. I've been there many of times . I didn't not walk in intoxicated I did not have one drink . It's ok there are lots more welcoming locations around town.

Good hole in the wall bar. Needs new manager now. Place is falling down hill fast. The population of the crowd has dropped 85% since 2010. Maybe 20 people here on the weekends and 10 during the week. 2009 was the last time you would see a line out the door to get in. Now everyone just wants to leave.

We are from Dallas and was in Waco for the weekend, loved the atmosphere. Feel in love with Tiffany great bartender took very good care of us and we enjoyed getting to meet Mark, great owner! Can't wait to go back!

My only dislike would be, That the new bartenders are not attentive to the customers. And asked the man beside me if he needed another beer, and totally ignored me. So Frustrating, I definitely miss the old bartenders.

New policy, must have valid driver's license so you can drive drunk. Lost $200+ of a group's business because one member had a valid state issued ID instead of a driver's license. Pathetic, will not be going back.

This is a terrific place to go for a meal. MacKenzie was our waitress and she ROCKED it! The music is okay. The food is FANTASTIC! Twice we have gone and the wait staff has been stellar!!

Traveling through Texas and googled bar with a patio. What a great stop. What amazing brisket nachos and Brisket tacos. Great service and clean restrooms. NOTE the nachos were HUGE. Will definitely make this a stop when I make my way through Texas again! I'm gluten free and they had plenty of safe options.

Food is Unique very flavorful all around fantastic great place to eat and have a drink

So many things packed into one small space. Pool tables, bar, food, dancing, sports tv, and patio. The temperature controls on the patio work great to make a night on the deck in July bearable. There is a Whataburger near buy for after-bar food.

Came from out of town and best resturant we have eaten at in Waco! Amazing food!
