Oakley's Wine Bar Review

TV Ad promised NEW GRILL, great food - new and improved. The ads promote something a little more than it is. Anyway, one of our staff received a $10 coupon. With some reservation, we agreed to try it. I gave it a 3 because they enjoyed their lunch and for the price, they felt it was hard to beat. My fish was good, but the blackeyed peas and green beans tasted like canned. SUGGESTION > Turn up the lights! Horribly dark. The sentiment was universal. If you want to upgrade your clientele and move away from the beer joint category, the lights need to come-up to show off your remodel. Your remodel has nothing to hide. Too much Beer Joint atmosphere with the dank darkness feel. Increasing lighting is definitely the right step to achieve a better crowd and reputation.

I was wearing a white shirt, and they didn't let me stay, they say that after 7 no white shirts are allowed, something to do with gangs related. so i had to leave.

The cocktail waitresses are typically...uh...tired of being hit on by rednecks but theyre nice and prompt once they know you.

And the prices are not horrible...easy place to get a buzz and have some laughs...unless your erika then ur always grumpy ;)

We ordered drinks at the bar and waited 40 minutes to order food and were ignored even after asking about a server. Won't be be back to this dump. Too many choices to waste time on a place that doesn't care about customer service.

Service on the patio is great. Waitress staff is impressive and conversational. The brisket tacos are excellent. The sliders melt in your mouth. Huge place with lots of tables and bar seats.

The wait staff is friendly and attentive. This place is good for an enjoyable evening of billiards, music, and drinks. The food is surprisingly good, enough that even couriers pick up to deliver. The eye catching, crafty truck fountain by the road will draw you in, but make no mistake, this bar and grill is more bar than grill.

The food here is horrible, everytime I get food delivered from here it's either unseasoned, undercook or burnt.

Goodly menu for a bar. The Hangover Burger was off the hook.

Great place to get a cold adult beverage and great food. Local wines sold if your looking for a treat.

Strong drinks, good service and chill environment . This is a great place to throw a few back with friends share some nachos and play a game of pool definitely one my favorite bars.

it was great! the BARTENDER has some great ideas for drinks since It'd been awhile since our date night. They staff was pretty and slim n awesome!!

This country bar has a couple of pool tables, dance floor, and DJ. It gets a good size crowd. Watch out for the guys with dip in their mouths though, I'm not sure where they're spitting it. Heh heh.

Dj was playing sad music. Wished it was more happy. But you drink enough and who cares. Beautiful servers though.

The people here are amazing good food, fun times and amazingly beautiful ladies there!!

The Rustic Grill- located inside OAKLEY's. Thank you Hutch, awesome food.... will highly recommend.

Nice spot great patio country setting but all are welcome

Bartender with half shaved eyebrow kicked me out after I said I wasn t ordering anything. I wasn t causing a scene, I just wanted to spend time with my friends. She literally offered a beer to my boyfriend while I went to the bathroom, then proceeded to kick me out after saying I didn t want to order anything. Just to make it clear, I NEVER ordered anything and had no intention to. Poor customer service. I don t know if she wanted to go home early or what, but she was ridiculously rude and unprofessional. I am a responsible drinker, and I will never go back. I was actually warned about this particular bartender, and was told that she kicks people out early when she wants to go home. As a former retail manager of a multi-billion dollar store, I would NEVER have treated customers like this. Making sure to spread the word that Oakley s has horrid customer service.

It's part of my family's Cheers bar. The waitress was working her tail off. She was awesome.

Good down home bar , that u can jus chill an eat sum good food at a Chef Level.....

It s ok bar for a good time. Parking sucks and your vehicle could get hit by others.

Fantastic place to relax and to gather with friends! The patio is an excellent addition along with great service staff and beverage selection! A must visit!

I am a frequent customer and was kicked out for wearing a white shirt with gray stripes. It didn t have a logo on it so apparently it is considered a plain white t-shirt even though it is a Lulu Lemon shirt. Lost a loyal customer

Edit In Response to Owner: I was never offered another shirt by any member/agent of Oakley's Bar & Grill. And, after multiple exchanges regarding the shirt my waitress noticed the gray stripes, and said that she would let the management know and that everything would be fine. The manager then came out and asked that I leave, despite noticing the gray stripes on the shirt. I exited without causing a scene, the owner is simply trying to diminish my online image with their reply hoping that I will delete the comment as a lot of people have liked this message due to similar unfair encounters.

Again, I would not recommend coming here wearing white at all. If the manager is having a bad day, he will kick you out no matter what.

Best damn place ever! Crazy selection of top notch food and a staff that offered drink pairings and was so attentive I will drive out of our way to get back and see them. Thanx's!

Wait staff was great. We had a very large group and they handled it well.

Very little service didnt see waitress again after I ordered never asked if I needed another beer or checked in the cook on the other hand great service he brought me my food asked if I needed anything asked for chips he brought them quickly and checked on me again after great service for the cook great food as well

Wow the patio kicks ass. Great improvement to a good ol Waco establishment. Personally, I'm a full convert and can't imagine sitting inside again. Great job Oaks, way to take a chance and create such a fantastic outdoor environment Great job y'all.

It is for a specific crowd that I do not belong to.

One of my favorite bars in Waco. They usually have crawfish during season. Pool tables and a little dance floor with a jukebox.

The atmosphere was a bar and dance hall, which is cool if your into drinking. A shots girl asked us if we wanted shots, and the staff was nice. But we came for the food, and it was good, really good.

It was quiet but expensive compared ti other bars in the area

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I visited some family in Texas and was denied at the bar because I do not have a license. I have a VAILID ID and do not drive because I live in the city. The woman at the bar was rude and not helpful. I was served two nights in a row prior. Ridiculous
