Best steak-tartare ever. I eat them al over the place from Paris to New York, from Brussels to Tokyo but chef Kiko (owner of O Talho) has the best. This place is a butcher shop in the daytime and a meat restaurant in the evening. They take food so serious there even is a sommelier in this small restaurant. Don't all shop up at the same time, I also want my table next time!
The clerk who answered us was very friendly and professional. Price too expensive about 400 euros for 6 people and although the concept is exactly the one of eating meat that incidentally was very good, lacking vegetables and soup and then yes it gave 5 stars.
The service is regular, the grilled meats without quality seem to be made in a common house ... unhappy with the quality of the dishes I do not know where the Michelin star is?
Staff was excellent and friendly. Food was very good however it was not quite 5 stars. My steak was cold when it arrived. It was cooked correctly, just not served hot. Considering they are all about "meat" they should have this down to perfection.. Unfortunately they do not.
An interesting restaurant. The food undeniably has quality but some products are too ethnic creating a fusion cuisine with some mixtures a little forced.
I went there on 20 June 2014, friday, but I haven't eaten dinner. The woman on the "welcome desk", drinking a cup of red wine, said only "No tables", laughing. Very bad reception. I selected another restaurant.
Excellent decoration, very nice space. From starters to dessert, the design of the dishes is incredible, a true journey of flavors. The meat is of high quality, very tasty. I strongly recommend tartar, the best I've ever eaten !! I recommend a visit, impossible to disappoint.
One of the chief kiko's restaurant chains, it tastes good, the service brother is quite enthusiastic, if you don't know what to eat, let him recommend it. Quite a good experience.
Went to O Talho the first night in Lisbon, had a wonderful night. Only thing I noticed was that the food was a bit salty. Overall really good experience!
Bad experience that spoiled the dinner. Poor unprofessional service of waiters and hosts. It was evident that the waiters wanted to finish their work day as soon as possible, which greatly influenced the atmosphere of the restaurant. For example, they took away the food that we didn't finish (as bread and appetizers), additional forks and knifes exactly during we were eating main dish interrupting the process, without even asking if it was okay to take away our food. We were visiting the restaurant at 21. 30 (we wanted to book it at 21 00 but they asked us to come at 21.30 even the restaurant was half empty) and at 22.00 they began to clean the kitchen that was very noisy that was a feeling as if you are sitting in a canteen. The price does not match the quality of food. The french fries was extremely awful (old or prepared long time ago). As we didn't like the place we decided to have our dessert in another place. When they offered us to have a dessert the waiter was extremely persistent (like would you like to have a cake, are you sure, maybe you will tale one to share it).
Wonderful restaurant! All the dishes were spectacular, the tartar was wonderful, and the fabulous entrees, croquettes, stew and ceviche were impeccable! Dessert to eat and cry for more! 5 star service, friendly and polite attentive employees! Congratulations boss Kiko!
Very good exclusive restaurant. The dishes are just perfect. Extraordinary extra elements are added, nothing is "common", it is all special. The service is very good and correct, perhaps a little bit too fast when it comes to changing to the next dish. Here you can eat fantastic dishes that you cannot make for yourself at home and that is exactly why it is such a good restaurant. Thank you chef cuisinier, it was a very nice experience.
Very good restaurant, but completely disorganized the service. The waitress very attentively took our order. Starter, main course. Dessert was left to write down after dinner. Half an hour later, she introduced us to the main course. We asked for the entrance. She very surprised (she was responsible for our care), told us she would bring it. But how? We already had p main course. Appreciate. We had dinner, we called the restaurant owner. We have registered our complaint. We paid the bill and went away disappointed. We will not be back again. Too salamaleque for nothing.
Really nice space, sophisticated without being too pretentious. The fact that it has a real butchery inside makes it more authentic and confident about the meat quality. Been there many times and tasted almost everything, the food has always been superbly cooked and tasty, I would highlight the lovely tartar. Impeccable service on top of it, without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Lisbon
Although the employees are very professional the food left much to be desired. The two steaks had no taste with the aggravation of one of them, had only nerves, so half of the meat was on the plate. When we complained, the answer was that it is not the house's commercial policy to pay attention (all dishes were charged). Not coming back!
Been there already several time for business and the quality is always good. Aka for the carne maturada not in the menu but superior quality and perfectly cooked. Desserts amazing !
Good service. Very professional. Meat was nice. Dessert was a little random to the Irish palette. Lovely surroundings and ambiance. Irish prices rather than Portuguese prices. Staff nice.
It fell far short of my expectations. Want in the quality of the dishes. Want in attendance. For the prices practiced the ingredients should be of much better quality and the dishes much better presented. Chef kiko's a lot of fame but a disappointment . Reasonable service! Even the wine that is always served by a waiter in a restaurant, where the first glass is served and then the customer who serves himself. The plate of black pork clown, which had nothing on it, came full of fat and was white that looked as though it had been dipped in a whitening liquid, nor did they have the delicacy to offer a reward for one of the diners for not eating anything. The side dishes of this dish are very weak. A spoonful of apple puree was used. Unacceptable! I already go to restaurants with author cuisine and from everyone where I ate, this was the worst. Chef Kiko has a lot to improve including surrounding himself with people who cook well, because the ones in the restaurant "The Butcher" are no good at all. Take a look at Chef Vitor Sobral in any of his restaurants or even Chef Avillez, whose restaurants I have had the privilege of attending and are of excellent quality. Both the service and the quality of the ingredients as the design of the dishes. So it has been awarded michellim stars. I strongly advise anyone visiting this restaurant to check very well the price / quality ratio of the dishes presented. As long as the restaurant website publishes menu prices. That is another serious flaw. The information is missing either on the site or on the platforms where it is inserted. Misleading publicity.
The food is perfect ! Lovely meat ! It s so soft it melts in your mouth ! The service and staff are very friendly! A very personal experience and lovely atmosphere ...... I would highly recommend to everyone !
The worst O'Talho almost no serious meat options. The waiter told me not to have the Tartar. The tomahawk steaks were only for display???? Absolute rubbish.
I really liked the concept. Order what you want to take at the same time as we have the appetizer. Then have dinner with great and attentive service, pay, pick up, say good- at night and go home. All this in a frankly beautiful and pleasant environment. Sure ... Counts matching. Congratulations!..
The atmosphere is impressive, the layout of the restaurant was very well done. Before entering the main room, we wait for the table in the 'butcher', where we have the meat of the day on display. The service and the food do not disappoint. The food comes out quickly, with great quality, perfectly cooked and seasoned. A place to visit on special occasions.
