The place is rather run down, does need a lot of maintenance here and there. The rooms are very basic, there's not a tv for the kids.

The location is superb and the scenery & walks spectacular but the visitor centre is a bit tired.
A lovely spot, it can be quite weather dependant as when we went it rained quite a bit so there wasn't to many options but when it was light we went for a walk and did the flying fox both which were great.
An oasis of tranquility immersed in the beautiful green of the Australian hinterland. Worth a couple of days of visit.
Beautiful place to observe the birds, the children loved !!!
I took my family and stayed for weekend on 2 bedroom villa was very nice and clean and they have nice cafe and restaurant as well.
Alot of activity for kids like you can hand feed a colourful birds and wildlife and bird show and flying fox
But if you go there you have to do tree top walk and climb the leader to the top of tree .
Loved reading about the history of area and learning about the rain forest. We did the tree top walk, which was super cool and we saw several good sized lizards on our trek to get up there.
The views were amazing after the long windy drive up the hill.
Only thing to call out was the prices in the cafe and gift shop- pricey, but I guess you can do that when there is nothing else around to compete.
Peace environment. Must visit place and the road trip was really amazing!
The service and the facilities were very poor, and the members staff looked very untidy and unprofessional. Food was very fatty and looked very processed, not fresh or healthy at all. And there s not much for the kids to do, in terms of entertainment, so they were sat round bored most of the time.
Went to O'Reillys with a group of friends to go on a walk to Elebana falls, the retreat is beautiful and the birds are super friendly
Cool environment but way up is very risky due to all the construction work
Lovely views and surroundings,, great staff but expensive to eat and drink. The road up to the resort is challenging too. 3 nights is plenty but worth doing nevertheless.
Excellent place to go to learn about the rainforest at Lamington National Park near Brisbane. Just take care on the road leading up to it as the hairpin bends are extremely tight in places.
Beautiful place with plenty to do. Great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Lovely staff running the place!
The self contained villas are brilliant. Hope to visit again
After the long and winding journey it is beautiful.
Peaceful, cool, beautiful. Many walks nearby. A ton of animals seen.
If you are looking for a secluded getaway to nature this is the place for you. In that case don't go during a rainy period. The accommodation facilities will not offer you much even if you upgrade. This is a glorified country motel with the attitude you would expect from a place located in such a pristine location, with no competition around.
There is a nice, tranquil, infinity pool overlooking the valley. And you can track your way to beautiful, Morans Falls, provided that the path is not too wet.
Dont try to be righteous by booking your accommodation directly with the venue. Find the cheapest option you can online. You are only paying for the most basic accommodation. Even if you upgrade.
You will be paying a premium in the restaurant, anyway (considering the quality of the offering).
Great spot. Has not changed (and didn t need to) in 25 years
One star missed because there was no telephone or a microwave in a canopy suite.
We went to the restaurant. Have been before and food is always amazing. It's a bit pricey but worth it. Can be busy though and they don't take bookings.
O Reilly s was our dream wedding venue. Luke s Bluff and the conference centre both looked breath-taking and were the ideal locations for us.
All of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. There was plenty for our guests to do at O Reilly s and everyone was very well taken care of.
We are so incredibly grateful to all of the staff and O Reilly family for bringing our dream wedding to life and making the weekend absolutely perfect for all of our guests and ourselves. We couldn t be happier.
We stayed in a Villa room. It was incredible. Amazing view and beautiful fireplace and layout.. The service was amazing from check in to checkout.. The wildlife show and bird show led by Mark was really comical and informative. He clearly loves the wildlife and loves to entertain.. Don't miss these shows! He was awesome! The Glow worms tour and the flying fox run by another Mark was fantastic and Sylva who helped out on the tours was also fabulous! Thank you for such a wonderful stay.. can't wait to come back!
Great way to spend a day out. The bird feeding was a big hit with the kids. Don't think you can do O'Reilly's and Natural Bridge together in one day. Too far apart by road even though very close as the crow flies
Quality of the mountain view rooms varies greatly. First night we stayed in ones that weren't refurbished (#37, #38 and #39) - mould in the bathroom sink, shower and on the ceiling. Soundproofing is great horizontally but we heard every little noise the people upstairs made. View was terrible for rooms #37 and 38 too...saw more walkway than the mountains. Only 1 other mountain view room available for the second night. We moved to #36... very nice! Refurbished bathroom, fabulous view and no one above us. The other two parties were offered other rooms at $150 a pop. Needless to say they declined.
Our entire extended family recently stayed at O'Reilly's utilising a range of accommodation options & facilities. Cosy rooms, genuinely friendly service, delicious meals in a spectacular setting!!! Anyone having a whinge about this place should reflect on the precarious drive up & at the very least have some consideration for the sheer logistics of keeping this place going. O'Reillys is a national treasure, long may it reign above the treetops.
Wonderful experience. Put this place on your bucket list.
The world around this place is amazing. It's worth going for the view. The facilities less amazing. The pool was dirty, the spa was too hot to swim in and the breakfast was overpriced and very average.
Great location for weekend getaway.A lot of activities. But the rooms are very small .very early check out time .
No mountain view if you get the ground floor rooms .
This is a lovely community to visit for both beauty at your door and amazing walks. Incredibly reasonably priced and well worth the scary narrow drive through ancient rainforests. Fantastic in-house animal encounters with squirrel gliders and a carpet snake.
Absolutely loved my time at O'Reilly's. We had the Mountain View Suite for two nights in January. The room was huge with a four-poster bed and fireplace. The lack of aircon wasn't noticed, but there was a lot of mosquitos when we opened the doors to let the breeze blow through. A mosquito net over the bed would be a significant improvement. As for the resort itself, the staff were very knowledgeable about the area, its animals, and history. And issues we had were resolved quickly and with minimal fuss. The tours were great; a definite recommendation. The cafe menu isn't great, but the servings are large. Breakfast and dinner are wonderful. The kitchen was great in working around my allergies. I would definitely recommend including the food package in your stay. 5/5 would stay again, but a smaller room will probably suffice for next time.
Tree top walk was really good. We went early in the morning and there wasnt too many people. Suggest to get to Oreilly early in the morning
Brautiful location and views, next to the rainforest with tree walk
The drive to O Reilly is very windy and slow but the views are amazing. The birdlife there you will seldom see other places..there are walks for all ages and abilities..lots of Antartic beech on Tooloona and Albert river circuits...waterfalls galore on all walks..bix forest has huge trees and is a shorter walk
Ok but I hated drive up the mountain, scary as hell, and took ages. Accommodation was just satisfactory. Food expensive.
Incredible place for spend a day, I recomend to arrive early and start walking and get lost in the forest. Wildlife, fresh air, Waterfalls, narrow roads, giant trees, rivers in general a perfect place.
Green Mountain is a beautiful spot for a guesthouse. Views are breathtaking and the tree top walk is brilliant!!
O Reilly s was an awesome starting and ending point for our hikes thru the Leamington National Park. The gift shop has maps and you are able to buy birdseed for the parrots. We enjoyed feeding the birds so much we started and ended our day with this activity. The drive to the resort was a bit nerve wracking, but on the way out we took some advice that was given and went at dusk, the ride was better when people have their lights on.
We had our Christmas here. All I can say is the breakfast, Devonshire teas, dinners were absolutely amazing , Christmas day food was spectacular. I Highly recommend for all that read these reviews, for you go with the Christmas package it will not disappoint. Top marks to all the chefs & staff. This is holiday I shall never foget. The peace & tranquility bush walks & all activities superb. Great Team at O'Reilly's. Also you can purchase a book from the cafe up on the mountain, called Bernard O,reilly's Riddle of the Stinson great read true story. Thankyou to Team O'Reilly's
It is many years since we had stayed at Oriellys with our young family who now shouted us a two night stay in one of the Valley view villas- exceptionally presented, quality and clean accommodation with great view.
The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have enjoyed and reminded us of the 5 star Borneo Rainforest lodge and was just what is needed before a long walk. The enormous seafood board for two at dinner was a treat and the dining room and reception staff are a delight.
It is tremendous to see this long standing family business in a world class tourist area continuing to raise the standards.
The sublime natural beauty of Green Mountains combined with Lamington is unsurpassed. O'Reilly's is the perfect way to enjoy a perfect escape.
Lovely place and surrounds. The staff in the restaurant eed a bit of work
Great place to go hiking and enjoy feeding the birds but please dont bring your own food
Had a fantastic stay with great views and interesting walks and history given by Mick. Also appreciate them donating a nights stay for 2 that I auctioned to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease. THANK YOU O'REILLY'S
We went there for a hike. We didn't stay long but the coffee was OK.
Fantastic place. Beautiful food, our room had a spa and a fireplace well worth it.
It was a great experience the trails walk, glow worms and bird tours where all beyond expectations with Gus the tour guide showing his enthusiasm for nature and sharing his knowledge. 2 night is probably enough unless your an avid hicker.
We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and will definitely come back since there is so much to explore. We loved the offer of experiences and did as much as we could fit into our very short - too short - stay there. I recommend an absolute minimum of two nights since it is such a beautiful place.
Nice to place to have a meal/drink after a great walk..
It is a bit of a drive up there, slow and steady. But it was a lovely destination once we arrived. Be aware the winery is 30km away which is about a 45min drive. I was suprised they did not provide a shuttle so we cancelled our visit as it was too faraway.
We visited the day spa it was luxurious and l got me some free slippers.
We had a Mountain View Room & thats exactly what it was. It overlooked the valley. We had the wildlife visit from birds on our balcony to wallabies eatting below us. Lovely food from 3 course meals to a very extravagant buffet breakfast.
The road up is atrocious considering this is a major tourist attraction. Beutiful everything else be prepare to pay for everything bird feeding and all .
Beautiful venue set in a rainforest drive up is even spectacular too!
Abit out of the way but well worth the journey. Great peaceful walks and nature experiences such as live shows and bird feeding. Great views from the eatery
We stayed in a Mountain View Room with parking underneath. No tv's but we had good reception on our phones. Enjoyed the hot spa after a long hike. The morning Bird walk was good and the Tree Top Walk a must. We also did the walk to The Wishing Tree. I recommend doing the Segway Tour too.
Lovely place to visit and stay. Friendly staff and beautiful views.
O'Reilly's is the true blend of beautiful surroundings, amazing staff, family welcoming enviroment , international standard hospitality. I come here, walk in the door (quite regularly) the staff treat us with respect and like a member of the family. Meals are amazing, accomodation fantastic, i love it here. I get here and feel "i'm home". Thankyou management and staff u
You are amazing
Was a great place to stay. Great bushwalking and tours.
Not a big fan. Nice place but the spa had missing tiles. Mold all over the chairs out side that i had to clean off. Window wouldnt close.
Not happy with the lost spa. Made a booking & because of all the rain i cancelled the booking no email to say i had cancelled.
Had to call them to tell me that it was cancelled.
Bins full before when we got there.
Also one of their staff was speeding down the Vila rd & just about hit us even know its a 10 speed limit.
Takeaway or cafe style deck restaurant. Great views over Lamington National Park and Border Ranges. Watch out for thieving parrots.
Very picturesque setting and view of the gorgeous mountain range. The walks in the woods is very refreshing and even though it is July, the crowds were there. The food, the service and the ambience were also noteworthy.
Been coming here for 23 years...will keep coming back!
