Their new location is simply fabulous and all the staff are driven and enthusiastic about jobs. All the volunteers are happy go lucky and feel humbled to be there. What a generous fete these people put out every day to those in need. Kudos to you all!

The food is very good... The workers are wonderful!

Such a great team building experience! My team and I volunteered to pack the food kits and it was a great time. We had a bit of a learning curve, ensuring each order included the correct amount and correct kind of food for each recipient.

It was a warm welcoming, upon entering the building. The staff were friendly, patient and kind. You really got a sense of the amazing work being done there with the staff and all of the volunteers who walked through the doors. I look forward to doing this again on a more frequent basis.

I would gladly volunteer here again it was an great experience. The work atmosphere was great; they have a wonderful rapport with the clients and the volunteer's.

The food is prepared and packaged nicely, but the delivery service is horrendous. The drivers are not nice, they don't allow you time to get to the door before they leave with your food.

Beautiful structure, well organized and efficient. Team works very well with volunteers and the work does seem to help, which is great.

Volunteered through my job. How can you give any organization less than 5 stars when their sole purpose is to help those not in a position to help themselves? (Not for nothing the volunteer quarters on the 2nd floor has a balcony over looking the city. Very nice building). Kudos to the staff you all do everyday what most can't or won't! God bless you all!

CALLED FOR HOURS TO THEIR CLIENT SERVICES ON SPEAKER WITH ONE OF MY CASE WORKERS WITH ME AT MY HOUSE AND WHEN SHE ASKED MY AFTER ALMOST ONE HOUR , WHY DIDN'T I LEAVE A MESSAGE , I TOLD HER I ALREADY DID 1/2 BEFORE SHE ARRIVED AT MY PLACE AND I WAS ONLY HOLDING ON THE PHONE FOR HER TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN AT 5.00 PM WILL , WITH A MISTAKE OF 3 MINUTES BCOS IT HAPPENED AT 4.57 PM .. THE CALL THAT WAS WAITING RESPONSE FOR 1 HOUR ALREADY .. WENT STRAIGHT TO AN ANSWERING MACHINE ... WHEN THE NURSE ASKED ME WHAT HAPPENED , I TOLD HER I WANTED HER TO SEE THAT NO ONE WOULD BE RESPONDING IN ALL THAT LONG HOUR AND BY 5PM I WILL BE DISCONECTED OR SWITCHED AWAY TO AN END OF THE CALL ... This is an amazing charity that delivers food to people with illnesses. They provide well-planned-out, nutritious meals for people in need, as well as caregivers and dependents. The building itself is impressive, with great facilities including a fantastic kitchen, and nice touches like a balcony for volunteers. It's a very good organization to volunteer for as well, or donate to.

Great place to give back to the community. Friendly and helpful staff. Their clients seen very happy to receive their food.

God's Love We Deliver makes it easy and rewarding to volunteer at their Soho location. The renovated kitchens and building are beautiful. Lots of windows with sun drenching the late afternoon work. A nice break room to have a cup of tea or coffee after your shift. An easy location directly above the Spring Street stop on the C or E train.

I haven't been there but I appreciate the work they're doing to help people that are struggling and unable to cook for themselves, Thanks you for everything you're doing.

Company had a community service day here and I got to learn about the organization s amazing history and enduring mission to better the lives of New Yorkers

I was supposed to get my first delivery. They NEVER showed up!

I start receiving my meals on September 4, 2020. Due to life threatening allergies I reported my all seafood allergies, and Celiac's disease (allergic to wheat, barley, malt). I'm hoping they provide Gluten Free meals. Please do not cross contaminate meals as I can die. Five starts for giving me a call back. Thank you .

Unlike most charities that rely on expired food to feed their clients Gods Love provides fresh creative and high quality meals they say free of charge but I recieved checks from some of the clients so some must have to pay. The kitchen is very nice with a great stereo system and mostly friendly people. The clients are severely ill some at deaths door so if you make deliveries be aware that they may not be in the best of moods..if you are not LBQT friendly dont come here..they have a very large gay staff and volunteers which includes transgender.Be prepared to see tons of food wasted because its thrown away if clients arent home but if you assist the drivers you get to keep it..also they get Broadway theatre tickets which is a plus.

If i could leave 0 stars i would. Delivery driver robbed property in my house and we called their headquarters to report. They didnt seem phased 1 bit...the best part is they sent the same delivery driver to deliver my grandmothers food!!! Didnt even have the decency to change the thief employee! Atleast act like the situation was escalated and send us someone new!!! Disgusting organization!!

My Grandmother just received a special Thanksgivings dinner; thank you for your thoughtfulness and kindness.

I believe this has the potential to be a great service to people in need. The name alone is captivating. However, it just didn t work for my mom. We went through the process I have applying and all the paperwork, it did take a while but when they started the delivery, it was not what we expected. I had to work and they were scheduled to deliver and we had everything in place for the delivery. But, it appears that the drivers are in control of who gets their meals or not. They would call to say they were on your way, if I answered the phone they would come. If I did not answer the phone they did not come. They even claim they came and no one answered. My surveillance camera says differently. We got two deliveries and that was it. We would never get to enjoy what they coined, God s love . They just didn t deliver.

What a blessing to have organizations such as this. This organization will provide free meals delivered every week.

An incredible food pantry delivering meals to those with life-threatening illnesses. I've only been here as a volunteer, but it was a great experience and quite rewarding. God's Love We Deliver (which is non-sectarian by the way) does wonderful work and the staff here are exceptional.

This organization saved my life when you are very sick they come through for you.The food is top quality nutrition is the main objective here I love it! And the volunteers are so nice and patient with you! Got to love them

I would recommend to my friends and family it truly helps a lot when it comes for eating healthy foods.

It is extremely hard to reach someone. When I leave a message it rarely gets returned. Don't get me wrong. I appreciate the meals very much. They are delicious & nutritious. Some I could do without. Like the Kale Burger & the Veggie Burger. I wish they'd have more traditional meals. They try to be too exotic. I only eat half of them because the other half are not my cup of tea.

After I made this review I received a call the same day. I was pleasantly surprised. The lady I spoke with was friendly, courteous, and respectful. She assured me that my concerns would be addressed. At least to some extent. Unfortunately, I'll still have to deal with some meals that aren't appetizing to me. At least for now.

Very organized organization. Volunteers are being treated very well. Clear instructions and rules. Very very clean facilities. The website is fairly basic and easy to use. However it is always overwhelming for it is full most times.

Thank God literally for these Meals where would I be if I didn't have them

God's Love is an excellent charity to volunteer for, both as an individual or with a group. They serve you pastries and coffee to fuel you before you go off on a ride-a-long with a driver to deliver hot meals to the chronically ill, or before you prepare food to go out to the public.

Awful place, they are NOT caring about sick clients. I will never refer any of my clients there. Never.

Wonderful facility supporting the preparation of meals distributed daily to terminally ill & home-bound patients. Amazing positivity from start to finish on a daily basis. Along with the great staff, volunteers are an enormous number and component to the staggering (and increasing deliveries per day).

Thanksgiving Dinner was a superb feast delivered to my door. I'm alone and suffer from end-stage emphysema. GLWD keeps me going with the healthy, tasty meals they deliver. Today they brought 2 hot meals; one for me and one for my neighbor. I give thanks to God's Love We Deliver and the gift basket so touched me I had to smile. by Candice Carter

Volunteered with a group of wonderful coworkers from Northwell Health. This is an amazing place to volunteer for a most worthy cause. With a fantastic group of people supporting the efforts of this wonderful organization, their system is efficient and so dedicated to the purpose of helping a most vulnerable and needy segment of New Yorkers. I was honored to participate and met great people who shared inspiring stories . I am proud to be employed by a health system that values this type of volunteerism. This is what makes America great !

God's Love We Deliver is the unsung hero of anti-hunger charities. I look forward to chopping my weight in vegetables or packing up a meal to send out to the homebound on Sunday. I have been volunteering in the kitchen for several years and I always have a great time, even when I'm chopping onions. There are so many ways to volunteer at God's Love We Deliver and all of them are fun and rewarding. Hipsters, get your friends together and meet at the new Brooklyn location soon.

I have called and emailed your organization in regards to the scurrilous actions of your delivery people during the time that I was a client in the Bronx and now in my new apart
Deliveries sometimes did not come in the Bronx; however my service was ended as You were not at home . The same situation also occurred at:

Unfortunately this time with more grievous consequences, due to the delivery people one day not showing up then blaming the staff of ***** **** for not allowing them in. I contacted you but then they came the next time whilst I was @ *** Hospital after my having requested that they do not for that day.
I got a call from a woman whilst in treatment who said, We are outside of your apartment building and we are coming up. I quickly informed her that I was at the hospital, couldn t talk and to please note that I had informed Client Services about it days before.
After what was some time I received a text from Henry Hall asking, Should we let them in? aka P.T.E. (Permission to Enter). They accompanied one of the delivery people up to the apartment as he made several derogatory comments about being Made to wait , etc.

The staff member informed the management of same and then **** ********** contacted me asking What is the problem?

I agree with others who say "Awful place, they are NOT caring about sick clients. I will never refer any ouf my clients there. Never."

GLWD's touching mission to provide healing meals to the seriously ill is a corporal work of mercy and a profound acknowledgement of human dignity. I became a better person for having partaken in this work.

Got to love this. I spent several days o kitchen duty and the kitchen is spotless and quite amazing. The chefs are well organized and know pretty much what they need to do even at different shifts though the sign up was not as straight forward as it seems.
They need delivery volunteers and I am not able to spend 6 hours on the road.
It is not as rewarding as volunteering at the soup kitchens for your help has direct impacts immediately.

Great for events and the staff are friendly. The kitchen is a beauty to behold. The view from the terrace is great as well.
