If you like pickles, you are going to love No 1 Sons! My faves are Gin Ginger Daikons, Honey Habanero Daikon, and Asparagus Kimchi. Their Kicky Kimchi is Hot and includes kale. Not traditional kimchi but you can get that at Hmart anytime. I like the use of seasonal and local produce. Their chili bear hot sauces are also delicious on anything! I requested the chili bears to buy some as gifts, and they didn't have it that day but brought them out the next day at another market. So nice!

I was very disappointed this morning at the Bethesda Farmers Market. I went there excited to get half sour pickles. When I got there no one to sell the pickles....but worse that that I was told and sold sour pickles. Which went straight in the garbage.

Finally sampled some things at the Rockville Farmers Market! Decided to go with the regular Kosher pickles. While waiting in line someone got the mustard Kraut which sounded amazing. Decided to get some without even tasting it. Totally my new obsession! Will definitely be traveling to DC for it once the market closes!

Fantastic local business with excellent product selection. Used to visit them all the time at the Dupont Market and have been incredibly impressed by their transition to delivery in these tough times. Each delivery driver has been courteous and friendly and has gone above and beyond to make sure my goods were delivered safely. All the products have been fresh and from all my favorite market vendors. Would highly recommend both their goods and their service and I'm sure it is just going to get better as they get more experience. Keep up the good work and we should all keep supporting our local vendors like number 1 sons

I got the "Kicky Kimchi" and it may very well be the spiciest food I've had in my life. Be sure to have some milk handy while eating it. But it was soo delicious, as were the pickles. Saw these folks at the Westminster Field Market.

These are the best pickles I know of in the area. The clean kraut, turmerine kraut, daikon (various flavors), kimchee, and cider masala beets are awesome. Their super sours aren't as good as my own, but they're quite tasty. I picked up a delicious pear kombucha today. I've only experienced great service at their farmers' market stands. If you like pickled stuff, give these folks a try.

Most terrible customer experience i have ever had ...

Most terrible customer experience i have ever had from a small business.. Went to the farmers market in Leesburg today and unfortunately got to their tent at exactly 1155am.There were two very sweet younger gals helping my son and I however the older lady in charge was more rude than I have ever experienced from any business and basically stopped our sale in the middle of it because they were closing and told us that we couldn't purchase anything else. She began slamming the pickle bins shut as we were shopping Their pickles are good but not good enough to be treated as such. I'm in the customer service industry and if she were my employe she would be looking for another job!

I have been a fan of this place since I first discovered them at the Westover Farmer's Market. All the pickles are outstanding but they also have kombucha and dilly green beans and kimchi. Delivery is now available if you can't get to the market. Don't miss - did you know that fermented foods boost your immunity? Just what we need these days!

I never thought pickles could some in so many delicious flavors! I love that Number One Sons has sustainability initiatives like recycling kombucha bottles or bringing your own jar, and locally source lots of their ingredients. Their products are delicious and their staff are friendly, efficient, and knowledgable about pickles! My family is always making more room in our fridge for kicky kimchi and sunny dills, our favorites.

I first tried Number 1 Sons Kicky Kimchi at a farmer's market in Silver Spring. Since then I was hooked. Not only does the food taste great- the customer service is out of this world. I ordered some food items the weekend before the 4th of July, but past the time needed to get the order shipped before the holiday. They went out of the way to deliver my food the day before the big BBQ, when I told them I had hoped to have it then. Someone drove my kimchi and pickles up to me in Howard County from DC so we could enjoy the deliciousness on the holiday. CHEERS TO THIS PLACE!

Visiting Number 1 Sons is the highlight of our trip to the Mosaic Farmer's Market. Based on the crowd consistently at their stall, I am not the only one who feels this way.

It's rare to find a business that provides a delicious and healthy product, time after time, with excellent service, but here is Number 1 Sons crushing it.

Our family is in love with the Dilly Beans. We brought them to a cookout and they were gone in no time. I love the Cider Masala Beets, my husband loves the Honey Habanero Daikons, and our sons love the Italian Giardiniera and Kicky Kimchi. We are a Happy Family, indeed!

Now you can pick up or have your order delivered! It couldn't be easier or more delicious to stay healthy.

Pickling is quite cool these days. No one is doing it better than Number 1 Sons. I ve been getting their stuff for the last year at the Mosaic Farmer s Market. They always have about 8-10 options. Their Kimchi is the best in the universe. I also like the fun Dilly Daikon. Also white people are amazed at the probiotics! (I can roast because I m white)

After a few visits to Number 1 Sons at the H St Fresh Farms Market, my own son (age 5 at the time) said, "When I grow up, I am going to be the pickle man." Smart kid. The fermented delights of Number 1 Sons are unsurpassed in the region. I speak to you as the daughter of a 1st generation Pole who ferments her own everything in a crock: these pickles are amazing. And you can slap the krauts and beets on any salad or sandwich to elevate your gustatory experience. Tip: Go for the "Happy Family" -- you get a third tub for 1/2 off.
