Northern Caravans Review

Absolutely brilliant service from inital enquiry to final payment.
They fitted a towbar for me at a very good price, squeezing me in to their busy schedule 3 days before I need to tow!
The young lad who works saturdays has taken on board the professionalism of the team around him and was very polite and helpful.
Would highly recommend this company.

Friendly and professional when I had the fridge fixed and most recently the caravan serviced. Very helpful advice and thorough service and the caravan was washed too!

We would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to this brilliant company for sorting our motorhome out. Laura and Andy and the rest of the team were fantastic in sorting this problem out efficiently and most importantly effectively! I highly recommend this company for their excellent service.

The story goes something like this.......

Our friends put the battery on their motorhome the wrong way and blew everything in it. We were buying it from them so they wanted it done asap. They contacted a company that are mobile and they totally messed it up and charged the most ridiculous price. Real cowboys and it was left dangerous, although our friends didn't know this at the time. My hubby is a mechanic so when he had a look he saw there'd been a botch up job carried out!
We contacted Northern Caravans and had a chat with Laura who was very hepful and she booked us in for a full electric inspection and diagnosis.
We brought it up to Northern Caravans and the mess the other company made was sorted out and put back to the manufacturers standard. The price was very reasonable and a damn site less than the other rip off company. Once again many thanks for your help and support with our motorhome which is running perfectly now.

Awful staff, very rude swearing in front of children with no customer service skills, will never be going back. The main owner is arrogant and went around to my friends house to threaten him over this review based on details on the side of the van taken in for a new outside connection. Honestly disgusting, please spend your money else where, they don't deserve it.

UPDATE: Part broke after a couple of months, went to screwfix, cheaper and had no issues.

THE RESPONSE: I have explained exactly what happened, no one is going to return the faulty part to a shop that has rang and threatened them over the phone after going to the wrong address to threaten them in person. Saying you're a family company just makes it more sickening at the way you act with children in the store and at after service communications.

These guys are life savers what ever you need for your caravan or motorhome look no further

I have been going to Northern Caravans for over months now and in June this year I had to call on their help at short notice. My lights on my caravan had gone faulty and we were going away on holiday the next day and they needed fixing. I arrived at the work shop at 4.15 pm and the owner and his wife and staff could not do enough to find the problem, get the parts and fix the problem at a good price. within 30 mins I was ready to leave with everything working.

I would like to thank every body the owner his wife and staff for fantastic customer service and we recommend Northern Caravans to everybody THANK YOU all again

I found the staff here very helpful. I could not lock my motor home. I phoned Northern Caravans and the young lady said come straight here and we will see what we can do. I arrived and they made me a cup of tea while I waited. They fixed the the problem in five minutes. They did not use any spare parts so they did not charge me for this work. Good old fashion service with a northern welcome. Great to see this!!! Thank you again for all your help.

Quite simply, an amazing team at Northern Caravans!!!.
These guys are so friendly and helpful. I have recently used them to have my van serviced. They are honest, reliable, and give customers, advise and support.
I have ended up purchasing a new, (used) van from them, and again, great service, flexibility and no pressure.
I simply will not go anywhere else from now on. Their prices are good, and they will go out of their way to help you if you have any problems. I would wholeheartedly recommend Northern Caravans to anyone!! Thanks guys !!

Just popped in and was really impressed with Laura and the team, their knowledge of caravans is limitless. Covid procedures put in place keeps everyone safe whilst offering great customer service.

This place has got to be the best Caravan Accessory shop in the North West. No stupidly inflated prices and the staff here are really helpful! plus thay have a large stock level of things you wouldnt think you could get especially in spare parts for your motorhome or caravan. They also have realistic prices on their secondhand motorhomes and caravans.

Fantastic and friendly service. Wish we lived closer as we would use them again and again.

Beware, all smiles and little substance. Came out to check the work required for a repair/valuation. Two people turned up one kept me talking outside while the other was inside rummaging through the cupboards, walking mud up and down the floors and damaged my blinds.

When I told them I wasn't interested in upgrading to a bigger caravan then left in a hurry without leaving a quote for a repair and wouldn't answer questions. I ask what's the next step in which the owner repeatedly reply "urm yeah yeah" over and over again to every question I asked while reversing away. If you don't want the business man up and say so...

In the shop they seemed nice people to do business with but I doubt they are true professionals and I won't be using them again. People beware, only want your business if there is a big pay day in it for them.

Helpful and knowledgeable staff who are willing to spend time ensuring that you get the correct parts.

Small but has lots of choices for all your caravan needs

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff who helped out at the last minute with an electrical wiring fault on the car which saved the family holiday (and a beating from the Wife ). Will be returning to get a complete re-wiring job after the hols. Cheers guys

Andy & Laura have gone above and beyond in helping seal a sunroof on one of our minibuses. We can't afford any downtime and although they where snowed under Andy worked until late in the evening to get the job done! 5 stars from everyone at Pink Passenger

Over the years i have tried several caravan dealers for advice / spares / servicing .... i now only use Northern Caravans !!!
Andy and his team are, quite simply, right at the top and i rate them as one of the best in the business.
Always honest, always helpful, always polite, fair prices and excellent workmanship. An extremely well equiped workshop and carrying just about any spare part you could want in thier well stocked (recently expanded) showroom - and what they don't have on the shelves they can get very quickly.
No empty promises .... no lies ..... no conning the customer !!!
Having tried the rest i've found the best ..... and now i have i'll go nowhere else !!!
I've read other reviews on here and one in particular jumps out at me ..... i don't believe a single word of it because i've seen / witnessed how Northern Caravans operate ..... but i guess some folk expect the impossible and complain for fun !!!

Bought my 2nd hand van from here as I was new to caravan. Fantastic help, assistance and information before, during and after sale

We had the misfortune to lose a wheel while towing our Bailey caravan recently. We were recovered to Northern Caravans who couldn't have been more helpful, even though they didn't stand to benefit - the caravan was subsequently written off. The owners were so kind - a great comfort to us as we were quite shaken by our experience. A really splendid, honest and friendly team of people. A rare find in a world were too many people are only interested in what's in it for themselves.

Large selection of products and had gas for my motor home.

I went in looking for roof ventilation I was told eBay I thought that strange I hav come in to spend a lot of money because I've got a campervan to build so I left without spending a penny strange way to run a business. I was going to look around the shop but I didn't feel welcome.

Took them to court and got my money back! Wouldn t trust them as far as I can throw um, fill you full of what you want to hear for a sale and don t want to know when there s a real problem afterwards, won t talk on the phone and ignored ya emails!

Even during these uncertain times with restrictions due to the virus, I found them as helpful and friendly as always. Measures were in place to ensure safety for for us and themselves. Yet I came away with what I went for, and as always some I didn't
So yes. I would highly recommend buying here for all your needs and wants, whether it be for Your Caravan, Motorhome or Camper.

Really nice staff (even when I didn't notice the sign about no gas bottles inside and took mine in. Fantastic range of items for caravans and motorhomes/campervans.

Used Northern for a service which was reasonably priced, repairs offered at an honest rate and found them to be very accommodating. Will use again next year.
