The teachers and the girls

The teachers and the girls
Up front are amazing however they made you feel like you had to take your state test there and that s not the case. I was done exactly a month ago today and am still waiting to hear from the state. Not the schools fault necessarily however according to prometrics when I called it shouldn t take any longer then 3 weeks. So $115 is just floating around some place. Dr. Louis has to be the most unorganized human being I have ever met, my class had to go to clinicals and we didn't find out where we were going built 3:30 that day and we had to be at the facility at 5pm. He doesn't allow his secretaries to do secretarial work and plan these things. Besides that the experience I had was absolutely amazing, Mrs Walker was by far the best teacher I have ever had!!! I would recommend this school to anyone but do the state testing on your own.

Please don't not go here! I know its cheaper then other programs but cheap does not mean good. I did the evening phlebotomy class in may 2018, and the teacher just didn't show the second day. Dr. Lewis taught the class horribly and is so terribly unorganized. Thank God for Jessica who became our teacher in the last few weeks because without I wouldn't be able to stick people. All I wanted was a recommendation letter to try to get a job and I called at least 4 times and no one got back to me. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. Just spend the couple extra dollars and go someone where they teach you! The only way I pass the national certification was because I have to study on my own time and teach myself.
this place is dirty and the sharp container is always overflowing with needles. I am pretty sure OSHA wouldn't like that. The poor teacher Jessica had to use her own supplies because DR. LEWIS didn't supply them. Thats if he's even an doctor.... Cant seemed to find any info about him online.
If I could give the school 0 stars I would.

Northshore is a great school. I had misses maro. Shes very strict but shes an excellent teacher and she will do anything and everything to make you understand what your learning. The school takes attendance and grades seriously and I agree with them because you are dealing with people's lives. Your learning how to work on people so you have to be 100 percent.

This place will get you from point zero to ready for state exams. I started cna training on August 27th and I'm taking state exam dec 13th. The experience was one of the best I've ever had: classes were jam packed with useful practical info, homework was relevant and useful and clinical at the rehabilitation center was exciting and useful experience. I made friends and soon I'll be certified to work as a cna, everyone working at northshore was just wonderful. Dr Lewis the director wants to see you succeed, and is kind enough to give you advice and job connections. Thank you Northshore for this amazing and useful experience!!!!

UPDATE: Wil the training at Northshore I am happy to say I passed both clinical and written test for the state exam. I was well prepared by the class, the test was not easy but I could do it because the study materials and class work we did in this course prepared me, and the labs were basically drilled into my memory by the time I took the State exam last week.

Highly recommend this place for training in CNA, phlebotomy and/or EKG!!!

This school is great .I finished my CNA and Phlebotomy programs in this school . teachers all professional , the staff very nice .and helpful. This course worked great with my working schedule and tries to accommodate working people with hours that do not interfere with my work hours. Great course and I really got a lot out of it.

Excellent school! I did my CNA class here and it was a really positive experience. Everyone was really nice! The staff including teachers and receptionist was very professional. My teacher Mrs. Marrow was amazing! She definitely has a passion and love for what she does and is very helpful. I would definitely recommend this school. You can tell by the staff they are caring and want you to exceed in your class. The dean is amazing. Nothing but a positive experience and I would highly recommend anyone to this school!

North Shore Career training is the WORST school on long island HANDS DOWN. I do NOT recommend this facility to anyone. Not worth the trouble. Its filthy, all the equipment is broken and the staff is unprofessional. We sat in a nursing home for hours not knowing what to do. Its so unorganized. Dont waste your money. Worth taking the extra month somewhere else.

In the being it was a nice school the Dean is a lovely man he is claim and collected . But the money accountant the evening one has a horrible attitudes n can not keep track very well she accused me of not paying my final payment when I did n gave me an attitude until she saw copies of her recets that she herself gave me . Mis marrow is a great teacher but in the last day if class she kicked me out for no reason I and to get the Dean to let me back in.
