Norm's Restaurants Review

I was truly amazed at the turnaround time for waiting to be seated. Very busy place but the food was delicious. I ordered the T-bone steak, scrambled eggs with cheese, hashbrowns with grilled onions, and pancakes. Let's just say that plate was huge! Forgot to take a pic but take my word, it's a lot of food. There was one problem, I ordered my steak medium, got well done and no one has sweet tea! You only get unsweetened or flavored tea over here in Cali. Oh yeah and the Cesar salad dressing was delicious. Lettuce was green and crisp

They trick with breakfast specials then charge $3 for a cup of coffee

I, love, this, place. My wife and I enjoy going here over other diners any day.

Great food but service was horrible unfortunately we got a bad waiter. He didn't ask if we wanted more drinks and he would get mad if we asked for anything .

Some servers are really bad but others like Brian are so kind

The food was good as well as the service, it was just a little strange when I ordered chocolate chip pancakes and got regular pancakes covered in M&Ms and chocolate syrup....

This restaurant is awesome and roomy, the food was enchanting and the rates were very inexpensive. quickly, effective service and very personal waiters. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

Great prices, food served fast, open 24 hours. Often long wait at dinner time.

3 for effort. Over priced. Pancakes aren't good. Dennys is cheaper and better pancakes.

The food was good, the wait was short and the staff was awesome. It was a weekend during dinner and I was seated rather fast. I enjoyed this Norms and had a good time with my family. Not to mention the prices were very nice and the selection was awesome. Definitely coming back.

Get the steak and eggs and a side of pancakes you won't regret it. Yummy and open 24 hours.

I went here to eat and when we were waiting to get seated they said it would take 15 min and we waited 45 mins. Then our food took 1hour and a 1/2. Done eat her do to service reasons

I love Norm's but the wife not so much. To her, a lot of items had no flavor. Granted, Norm's, much like Sizzler, was a really big deal for this boy, raised on the streets of Los Angeles!! As a chiId, I was 'dumpster diving', before there was even a name for it!!

Terrible service .. waited about 20 mins for the food before the server never came around to ask if we needed anything. Never going there again!

Deals are good but they didn't have any mashed or baked potatoes for breakfast. And the waiter charged additional for the baked potato which I had him remove later. They need more option on their menu

Norm's continues to provide a classic American diner experience. With an extensive menu of burgers and specials to the hearty Bigger Better Breakfast Norm's Restaurant is a great value at any time of the day.

Got breakfast for dinner. Hash browns were terrible.

Always fun to be there.. staff so friendly and Carlos our server.. just amazing..

It is my favorite place to have breakfast lunch or dinner I like the kindness of the waiters and the food is delicious at affordable prices.

Norms is always good but the service is not and this is one of those norms that they forget stuff.

Glue meat! This is my second experience here with glue meat... I'm done with Norms steaks...

Since my last experience with the glue meat, I have tried the T-Bone and it was good...

Long wait for a table! The food was not very good but they changed what we didn't think until we were satisfied with the order! Good attention from the girl who served the table!

busy, and worst service ever until i got up and finally got a waiter that would help us...

Very bad, the young man who attended us was taking too long and other people who came in after my family and me were served much faster and at the meal I hatched eggshells. Besides that they did not give him a discount for the 3rd. My mom's age is a person of 66 years. Because it does not apply on the weekend.

Really packed when I visited on a weekday but worth it. Utensils are dirty so I would recommend asking for plastic utensils. Food is good. Pancakes are soft and huge! Beats iHop and Denny's.

Alicia and Maria are the best hostess!!! Been coming here for 13 yrs like family best restaurant hope they put one in Bakersfield sooonn..

The hostess @ the front counter was awesome my party and myself we order three separate meals everything was delicious to our liking and the customer service was excellent keep up the good work..

Always get great service, good food, and the prices are reasonable. There can be a bit of a wait during the weekend, but they do get you seated quickly.

Prompt service. The staff absolutely know what they are doing. It appears that many of the wait staff have been there for many years. The food was your standard "diner" quality. The one thing that really bothered me is that they add a 3% charge to the entire bill. They say they add the 3% because of the cost of doing business in California. I won't be going back. Not anywhere that good to add 3% to the bill!!

Sirloin steak and eggs for 8.99... yes please. Waitress was great.

Great place for food, not the best, but it's good for the price. Always busy, but the longest you'll wait is 10-15 mins. Props to Dana (Banana), excellent service!

My waitress Mia was very attentive and I didn't have to ask her to refresh my coffee once.

Food stays the same here and the prices are good but it's very popular so it's always very noisy.

Foods good, price even better. Service can be better and weekends seriously over crowded. Don't like to waste my weekend inline.

Love/hate relationship with this Norms. I wish they would not put me on hold forever when I'm ordering take out. The service inside is normally good.

Never going back. I waited too long for my take out order. I ordered at home, pumped gas at the gas station, ordered Starbucks in their drive thru, drove to Norms and talked on the phone for a 10 minutes, walked into Norms and waited another 10 minutes while inside. Unacceptable. I won t be back

Service was slow but good. Food was okay. Wait was too long..

Clean food, pork chop was excellent for only 12 bucks a fully loaded meal. However, if you feel your meat is a tad undercooked, they happily take it back to cook it tight.
Atmosphere is like a non-tacky Dennys... The crowd is trendy/locals.
The scrambled eggs is NOT from premade powder but from genuine eggs.
Service is good in relation to how jam packed it is.
I'm a valley kid; and being back home, is mandatory to go to norms.. Recommended
