First Nordstrom there was and the headquarters location of this Clothing Retailer. Only went through one floor to look for some Ugg Boots. There was a DJ playing some music and someone was serving appetizers. It felt really upscale and kind of crazy. Something different that you don't see at any other department stores.
Nice new store but deafeningly loud. I rarely want to linger given the volume of this place during prime hours.
you would assume it to be the flagship store, but seemingly better selection at a competitor store in belleview.
I love the cafe on the top floor with the candy shoppe across from it try it and buy it
Expensive, quality and customer service is not as good as it used to be, but it's still the best department store downtown.
Always great customer service at Nordstrom, and the remodeling at the downtown location is done.
Nice store and people but not the extra you expect from a flagship store.
Nice selection, helpful staff. That being said, at that price point, I would except more options with environmentally responsible clothing like organic cotton, ethical wool, vegan leather etc.
This was a great trip to the original landmark store the associates that work there are top notch
heck it's Nordstrom people. A bit pricey but you won't find better customer service.
Great selection, attentive and knowledgeable staff.
Bad service, not keeping the time, not customer friendly. Had to go to counter to pay the cheque. Food quality average
A well-stocked Department Store. The first open of the Nordstrom family. Arranged on several floors, it has collaborated for years with the search for the most avant-garde brands. The selections are very sophisticated and in line with designer prices. Located in the beating heart of Seattle's Financial District.
Monique in T.B.D is bomb. My mom surprised me for Christmas by purchasing a jacket I had on hold... called the store to make the purchase and Monique walked it all the way to my office to surprise me! 15 min walk. Only Nordstrom would let their employees treat their customers that well. Shopper for life. Thanks Monique!
Service here is hit-or-miss but I'm a Nordy girl through and through so I always hit the Downtown Seattle location when I'm down there. Cosmetic service is always fantastic and you can shop the SPACE department (emerging designs such as Jacquemus and VETEMENTS) here! Tons of great events every year as well. Highly recommend the restaurants as well.
The worst sales person ever. Totally incompetent and unprofessional. Children's Dept was lacking in merchandise. Never again!
Every staff member I talked to here was very kind and helpful. The store itself is huge and has a great selection. I cannot wait to be back!
So difficult to access and stock picked through. Hit the Northgate one for a better selection.
They display inventory that is unavailable. That seems dishonest.
Seattle people can't drive... Half the staff is lazy and the other half must have giant sticks up there ass.
One of the greatest men's stores and shoe stores on planet earth.
This Nordys is HUGE! If you stop through the cologne department get some samples! There is a skywalk bridge to the mall across the street on the top floor.
Something for everyone!
Really - don't be put off by the sometimes really odd (and expensive) fashion displays in the windows. I like to think of it as wearable art in a fancy gallery that one can admire and then actually purchase something useful and affordable in the gallery gift shop.
Seriously though, they have everything from VERY affordable every-day wear to the most gorgeous designer things.
BAR - don't want to wait while your loved-one tries on 16 pairs of jeans? Go have a drink at the bar on the second floor!
FREE PERSONAL STYLING - you can make appointments of various length with their in-house stylists free and they will help you with anything you need. My experience with them has been fantastic. They really listen to your needs and budget.
Restaurant - get hungry and can't try on anything more until you eat? They have a fantastic cafe on the top floor.
Coffee shop - just need a quick pick me up while shopping? They have a great coffee bar on the lower level.
Seriously - this place is amazing.
They recently remodeled the men's section, and it looks fantastic. However, they seem to have really lost their way over the last several years. I recently placed an online order for 3 items. A few minutes after placing the order, I received an email stating that one of the items wasn't available. Several days later I received a second email informing me that another item wasn't available, and then several days after that, I finally received the 3rd item. On a separate occassion I took 3 pairs of pants to them for alteration, and they told me it would be 2 weeks before they were ready, which is fine. However, when I got the pants home, they had only completed one of the 3 alterations. So, I guess with Nordstrom you need to buy things in 3's and hope you'll get the best one.
My shopping experience was very favorable. I purchased jeans which needed to be tailored. Since I was traveling they accommodated me by tailoring them immediately within an hour. I have always shopped Nordstrom because of their service and quality of clothes.
This store is what you would expect from a Nordstrom. The store is clean, bright, and well-staffed. Most of the floors have also recently undergone a remodel. Getting the attention of some of the older men in the shoe department can be difficult, but some of the younger staff members have been incredibly friendly and helpful. One even listened to what I was looking for and made a suggestion I ultimately purchased. The second floor is designer clothing (too expensive for many shoppers), but the other levels are more typical Nordstrom prices. The top level includes a bridge up and over to Pacific Place.
Dined at the 4th floor Cafe. Reasonably priced and delectable. My partner's portion was a bit small but satisfying. We've been a few times now and intend to keep coming back. Encourage you to do the same.
What a noisy cheap mess Nordstrom downtown has become. Turn down the volumn and turn up the class.
If you need alteration, make sure to ask for Julia (Ukrainian girl) - she is the best! Wedding dresses, suits, casual wear - she can do anything!
Nice place and helpful sales staff but I can't help but feel that the store has changed from a middle class department store to high end with expensive pieces, lots of brand name clothing which is more expensive.
It's s better place to shop than Macy's in Seattle.
The flagship Nordstrom store! I love this store, personally. It has terrible cell service so I always have to join the WiFi but it has a large selection of items and departments, the service is always good.
It can be kind of a pain to get it (especially with parking) but they do have valet if you get incredibly impatient or if you don't want to park across the street at the Pacific Place garage.
I recently went there to buy some cologne after leaving work. I was instantly followed and watched from the door. I did have a coat and backpack on.there was an old wrinkly white woman at the counter that suggested that I keep it moving after she showed me a bottle of cologne that tilted side to side. They always profile you.then attempt to insult you in politically correct manner. Especially if your black and don't fit their mold of how you should look.
Awesome location. It's a flagship. What else is needed to be said
As a man, if you go here to buy shoes (or anything else, for that matter) be prepared to be judged when you walk in. Those salesman are working on commission and automatically look at a person's appearance to see if they have money to spend. That being said, Nordstrom has one of the best selections of shoes (the only reason I shop there) around. Allen Edmonds (my favorite shoe company) can get pretty expensive, but they're well worth it and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable about all the products.
Best selection of any brick and mortar department store and there are some fun features. (A chandelier made of Hermes scarves you can walk into! Interactive maps! A bar!) But the bright lights and shiny floors and blaring announcements for help in women's shoes give it an atmosphere that's more like an airport or a Wal-Mart.
Also, the famous customer service that you used to be able to get for any pair of shoes seems to only be present in the luxury areas of the store (high end shoes, wedding suite). If you're trying on normal shoes you'll get a harried sales associate who shoves a pair of the shoe that they're supposed to be selling this month down your throat.
Kassandra at Armani is an amazing make up artist! I just love her.
Everyone is so helpful and nice. Best customer service in the US.
Has a large amount of items to pick from and great staff
The bisque is usually awesome. Not today. The French dip was delicious!
I sought it out on trip to Seattle. It was like a trip to the mother-ship! I have been a Nordstrom fan for 25 years since they first came to mall in NJ. Excellent staff, excellent service. I order online from them frequently. This was like a pilgrimage (jk!) But I actually bought at the Rack, next door.
My order was placed at 10.23 AM and I get a notification to pick up my order by 11.43 AM at the Downtown Store. Amazing customer service.
Love it! Great store, everything about it, sales, and their setup... Flagship store has it going on! My husband and I shopped mainly in Shoe department. They are so helpful, professional and efficient.
The best. Service is on point. Amazing special events. Brands and style you can't get any other place in Seattle.
Really nice and the staff will help you out any way they can.
Very nice. Make sure you've got your Pretty penny with you. Cuz that's what it's going to cost you.
Really hard to navigate, very cluttered, shoe sizing is not organized
Quality products and very helpful staff, as always.
Courteous staff, excellent location. I really like jumping off the link for a quick purchase. Selection is nice. Returns easy.
The Flagship store for Nordstrom, great customer service, great return policy!
It's Nordstrom. Either you know what to expect or you don't.
I ve shopped at Nordstrom s all my life. I always favored this store over other retailer s. Sadly over the two years my experiences at Nordstrom s has gotten bad. This week I went to the store to do some shopping. While I shopped no employee welcomed me or asked to see if I needed help. Very cold atmosphere for sure. I handled my shopping a lone with no help. This has been the case for a while.
I don't know who needs a review of Nordstrom. Its exactly what you'd expect. Friendly & attentive staff with quality clothing.
It's Nordstrom. The men's selection is hit or miss. It's actually mostly miss. They do carry some selects like Alexander Wang, Public School and Rick Owens.
Holiday fun. Even if it's only for an indoor holiday stroll. Going over the street concourse between Nordstroms and Pacific Place is a highlight. And seriously, even if you are a non-mall shopper, you know you want to buy something at Nordstroms.
I love Nordstrom but something has to give with their shipping process. Set up your game! 10 days to receive a package..and this is a reoccurring thing.
Great location. Great store. Great clothing and shoes.
Shopping at this store is rather overwhelming. So many things happening at the same time: noise, music, smells, lights, crowds, etc. I did not find the experience to be an enjoyable one.
Went to the Nordstrom cafe for lunch and it was delicious!
You can find something for everybody here. Men, women, kids, teenagers, everybody. I have never had anything but a good experience here. I always come in feeling welcome and leave feeling helped. The people here really take their jobs seriously and it is apparent by the way they treat their clients.
