Mostly unimpressed with the value proposition of this hotel at the moment. The rooms are quite expensive but all amenities are currently closed due to COVID (no room service, fitness center, house cleaning).

I completely understand the decision to do that, and it certainly keeps guests safe. With that being said, you aren t getting much hotel for your money here. They don t even provide a pair of disposable cups for water, and I had to at one point resort to drinking directly from the sink in the bathroom like a barbarian.

When I went to get ice (machines are located only on odd numbered floors), I noticed that the ice machines had also been turned off. To add insult to injury, the WiFi is not free which I found to be simply insulting in this price range.

To be fair, the room was nicely furnished and decorated (although extremely minimally) in a modern style. The staff is also very, very friendly which I appreciated.

Unfortunately the shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor, and at times did not provide water warmer than room temp.

I cannot recommend this hotel unless you are really forced into staying here. Perhaps when the COVID pandemic has receded (whenever that will be) and the amenities are restored the economics of staying here may improve. Right now it s just not worth it.

Yeah this is definitely not a luxury boutique hotel. Rooms are tiny, sheets have holes in them, pillow have stains, shower has mold and rust, floor has yellow spots, you can hear everything going on outside the room...Definitely not worth a stay. I would avoid this hotel and go somewhere else.

Two stars because it's a super pet friendly hotel and the valet guys are super friendly and helpful. If you care for a comfortable bed or getting what you paid for, this place is not it for you. I booked this hotel directly through their website and when I complaint to the GM about getting a hotel room with shower curtains not glass, I was asked if I booked through a third party, and how rooms are not guaranteed if so. I know that, and that's why I prefer to pay extra and book directly. I still didn't get my problem rectified they way I wanted but decided to stay in give it a try. Because of this experience, I avoid Kimpton Hotels. Get better beds if you are going to claim to be a luxury hotel.

Staff was all kind, the bed was comfortable, and the A/C worked well. That's where the pros ends. My fiancee and I stayed in room 1603 one night, and it was a hot mess. The whole room was depressing with no decor and did not match the pictures online. There was no rug, no footstool for the chair and the bedding was sad, the top blanket (which was just a flat sheet on top of the blanket) had holes in it! Several hours after checking in, a cleaning person let themselves into our room without knocking to change the holey top sheet as their manager had told them to do but hadn't informed them we'd already checked in! They were very apologetic but it was so bizarre that they just waltzed right in to an occupied room. We didn't address these complaints to hotel staff because ultimately we were only staying one night and didn't want to make a fuss, but I want other guests to be aware of the situation! Attached are pictures detailing the lack of cleaning and disrepair of the room.

We had a great time there. We were there for my brother's bachelor party. They accommodated us as we were a party of 11. We had 5 rooms all close together and it was great, went there and dropped stuff off and then went to our events. Great views in every room!!! Close to everything around. My brother and brother-in-law would go again and bring others to join the fun! Highly recommend it for events that you are planning or just a night out for fun!

Hotel is clean and bed is comfortable. Gym is adequate. Didn't show me as an Ambassador member and said their system often doesn't show it. No coffee and tea service in the morning seems lazy, especially when they still offer wine in the evening. I normally seek out Kimpton Hotels, but this is the second one I have been to in the past six months with a average to below average experience.

Middle of downtown location means you're in walking distance of a lot of fun things to do.

The problem I had with the room was lighting. The paint was dark and they had lights spread throughout the room, but even with all the lights on it still felt darker than I'd have liked.

Staff were great though.

I also recommend paying for parking here if you're bringing a car. There is parking nearby but the price and distance means wasted time and not a lot of money saved vs just using their parking.

Positives were, nice shower and friendly staff. But no q tips or bath products. Only one towel per person and no in room coffee maker. The room really. could use a good cleaning . Rug was dirty and mirrors and windows were dusty. Bed was comfortable. You can stay in the seaport for the same money and hotel was spotless and room twice the size. Has in room coffee and plenty of bath products

This is rating is not a reflection of the actual hotel, but the service that I received while I stayed there.

My check in experience was decent. The woman was nice, but she seem a little overwhelmed due to being the only one working that night. She never asked me for my IHG member ID, but I figured it was no biggie because I could always report it later.

The room was nice. View wasn't great, but I don't mind because I don't mind being away from the noise. However, I was close to the elevator and the next room over there was a crying baby. I'm very light sleeper so with the paper thin walls I could hear everything. Again, I thought no big deal I'll just ask for a room change the next day. When I went to ask, the fella at the front desk told me there was no rooms available.(CLEARLY he must think I'm blind because I saw people leaving and rooms were being cleaned). He did mention he would note it. I'm not usually sensitive about how people treat me, but I did recognize that his tone and attitude with me was quite rude and it seemed like I wasn't "worthy" enough for him to appease me.

2 seconds later my friends arrived and went to check in.. all of the a sudden there was a room opened. My friend has a license from another state because she just moved back up to the Northeast. His tone was also rude to her until he found out she was from Connecticut. All of a sudden his attitude changed and he treated her with respect.

My other friend went down to talk to him. She's a no frills type of girl. Her outfits are relaxed and again she was not treated with respect. We can only assume it's because she wasn't all "dolled" up

My point of this review is the gentleman who serviced us seemed a bit "classist". I don't need to prove my net worth to you for you to treat me with respect. We are all very successful professionals by the way. It sucks we were judged/sterotyped based on our outfits after traveling. Not that it should've matter because everyone should have received the same level of service. The tone should've been consistent with everyone.

Anyway, I probably wont be going back due to the service. Hope you do a better job with everyone else.
