I work for a construction company that was doing work on a plant in the Columbus, IN area. It used Nighthawk and we were thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of the guards, the process and response time when we had to enter and exit the gates.

was hired yesterday, very impressed with the company and the steps they take to make it fair for their employees and provide an excellent service to their clients.
I have been working here for almost 2 months, been treated fairly and haven't had any issues with this company. I got paid training, support from management and its just a great group to work for.
Hired last week and completed training today. Very well organized company. I was checked in on by my scheduler each day of training and when it was completed, I spoke to the operations manager josh who made sure everything was covered and I didn't need more time in case i needed it. They have set me up for success!
Working for Nighthawk has been great! I've worked 15 years with the company and at the age that I want to retire. I put in my notice like I agreed to and worked every day of the notice and received my severance just like I was told I would. I will miss working with the management and my fellow officers, they have become a family to me!
Do they give you hours and pay you on time yes... do they work you to the bone and pay you very little YES! They make a lot of assurances and try to manipulate so you will work... if you say no on days off because of commitments (because your schedule gave you the days off)... after agreeing to work on previous days off and being a team player they get vindictive and "punish" you.
Worst company out there do not work for them because you don't get your contracts your not likely to get paid and the treat there employees like garbage
My husband got a job offer and when he got to there they told him a totally different offer at the time he needed a job so he took it anyway and then they wanted him to pay up $380 for his uniform they would take it out of his checks and they wanted him to buy a gun they first said $400. Then later they said it was $700. On top of everything he never got his pay check still to this day .if I could give them no stars I would. I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to work there.
Cant rate this company low enough wish could.they have no clue what goes on with workers .wamt u keep contact but when do they get mad cuz call at random times.fire you of have call out on a holiday dont refund you cost of uniforms.and withhold paychecks and recently learned this company is not licenes there tn guards when state requires gaurds be licensed.so this company doesn't know how to follow state laws.would advise ppl ro find a different company to work for they not as professional as they seem .
Nighthawk has paid me fairly, on time and since I follow the rules, have given me several opportunities to advance. You aren't really given anything so that may be the wrong word, but if you earn it you will receive it. Saw some of these reviews talking about how bad of a place it is and most likely reason for their review is that they didn't follow the rules or weren't doing their job correctly.
I've been working here for 6 weeks. Was displaced from previous security company I worked for due to COVID-19. Joined Nighthawk and staying. I read through a lot of the reviews posted and it seems people need to understand that each company is going to be different. I've been on and off as a security guard for several years with other companies and Nighthawk is the first to enforce rules that are needed to provide a good service to the employee, as much as to the client. That was evident when I was brought in for an interview on how they handled the CDC stuff and kept our social distancing, etc.. Very happy to be here.
Great Job! Great hours. Good Pay. If you follow the rules and do your job, you have zero stress. Attention to detail is communicated constantly from our management and that's because even the small things matter and they are aware of that.
Requirements of Security Officers: Wear uniform correctly. Men have to be clean shaved, mustaches okay but can't be wild! Tattoos Okay from what I've been told. Be on time, if you're late or will be late, call your scheduler so they know and can let whoever is working know you're going to be late. DONT BEND THE RULES - you won't get away with it, all it does is make the job harder for everyone.
Started out ok. Have to be cleaned shaven, no exemptions for skin irritations due to shaving or because of only part-time work schedule. Schedule changes from week to week. They say they care, but in reality they don't. Pay is just a lil above minimum wage. Uniform pay is ridiculous and they will find ways to avoid giving you the money back they promise at the beginning. Not a company for everybody.
Nighthawk is a great place to work because of its leadership that cares and the people you work with. I hear and see a lot of coaching to help people be better. They care!
My name Richard Osborne and I had a interview at this place and it was professional and they were really respectful all they want is for you to do your job and you will get rewarded
Just would like to point out that I was also 1 of the 6 and I did accept the job and so did several others. Nighthawk tells you on the phone interview that as long as you are honest on the phone when answering their questions and don't change your mind, they have a job opening.
They also tell you to bring your lunch because it is a long day between the interview portion then the orientation. I was thankful they told me, I like to eat!
Love working here, was just hired a couple weeks ago. I saw the post about someone saying they didn't hire because of tattoos? That must be a lie because I have a full sleeve. My sleeve is non appropriate for the work place so I asked for a long sleeve uniform to cover up while I'm at work.
My nephew worked for them it was horrible. When he quit they took out 78 dollars for his pants out of his check and now is sending him letters to take him to court for the pants and the letter is horrible. The boss got in his face yelling at him. I talked to other who said it's a TERRIBLE place to work.
My company hired Nighthawk 2 years ago after going thru every other Security company available. The difference in service and professionalism is night and day. Nighthawk seems to be managed very well and very dedicated to excellence. Keep up the great work
Do I get paid on time? Yes Does Management take care of issues once reported? Yes Do I always get my full hours that I agreed to work when hired? Yes
Is the employee responsible for doing their job? Yes Is the employee required to report issues? Yes Is the employee responsible for upholding what they agreed to do when accepting the job? yes
I've worked at Nighthawk for 11 years and I know it's a great place to work if you apply yourself. I've had several opportunities to advance and during this pandemic, never once did I have to worry about my job or getting paid. Very solid group of people I work with at my site as well.
There is a lot of communication missing. It took 3 days for a person who was sleeping on the job to be fired. It is stated for immediate termination. Received first uniform. Never got second set. Once you agree to work a couple extra shifts, they will call you constantly. Lack of structure in the field. Office personal are really rude when you inform them you quit.
This company is a joke they make you drive to owensboro to see if maby you got a job then they tell you that you will be there for ahwile bring lunch making it seem like police academy its a security job either offer it or not im one of 6 that applied in my group no one took the mans offer who called this was just not worth it no mile reimbursement nothing NOT WORTH IT if you live outside owensboro!!
Don't work for this company.. Money hungry company... You have to pay 350 for 2 sets of used crapy uniforms. They say all the right words to start with, then lie, lie lie right to your face.
Worst company to work for. Stay away. Very unprofessional. Ridiculous expense for uniforms, $300, don t get the money back. They take you leaving personal. Cut your pay to minimum wage. They want you to snitch on each other. When you report a legit infraction on another employee, nothing is done about it. There is one thing they care about, MONEY. They couldn t care less about their Customers. I enjoyed working for the customers more than Nighthawk. Least I was treated with respect by the customer. Smartest move I made was to quit. All these people that review positive on this are just people from the office trying to make sure the rating isn t low. Pathetic.
Highly recommend G4S or Secuitas if you want to work with real security.
Been working here for 2.5 years. Best job and management I've ever worked for. Great team. These people complaining obviously didn't do a good job and got fired. It's a pretty easy job, just gotta show up and be on time and follow the rules and you'll succeed. Ive been promoted three times.
Applied for a position there but wasted my time and never called back. Guessing because I was a bigger guy. Glad though it didn't work out cause the owner is the classic authoritarian type were all rules apply to everyone but him. I worked on the security team at Executive Inn before it was closed and we dealt with more than these guards.
Want to point out a few things that were made in an earlier review. I was in for an interview the same day as the person talking about this company being a "scam/communist..etc".
This company is legit, is not a scam and is professional. I was also met outside because the doors do not open til 7am, since I arrived before then, they let me in. There is a severance and rental agreement for the being employed here. The reason is because employees receive over $400 worth in uniforms to use while employed, those uniforms damage over time so new ones replace them. I drove 4hrs away, spent $50 in gas and will have made it all back with just a couple hours of work at my NEW Job which I accepted because when I was told the hours available over the phone, I listened. I can say this company is strict with rules, but that just means they will be here for a long time to come.
Wasted multiple round trips up there. Then when one of his employees was very rude and disrespectful to me and i called him out on it. Im not fit to work for them. The most unprofessuonal situation I've encountered. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.
After a mild interest in security I applied here as a college job. I interviewed with the owner himself, and found him to be very abrasive. Taxidermy lines the walls of his office, as he spoke seemingly just to hear the sound of his own voice, you know the type. He seemed pleased almost that the big reveal of the "competitive wage" was a quarter higher than Kentucky's minimum wage. At a certain point, I just politely asked that he shred my application. Oh yeah, and I overheard him discussing employment terms with an admitted felon. Not the workplace for me. Ever wonder why they're "always hiring"?
Night hawk security is the most strict employment you will ever want to work for. Your payment for the uniform is $300 and something dollars. This place is a horrible place to work for. They say the pay for orentation but really they dont. If you quit they knock your pay down to 7.25 and hour and if you get fired you dont basically get anything back besides a small paycheck that isnt gonna take care of your family. Night hawk does not care about there employees they care what you can do for them and make them more money they under pay employees.
