Marlowe Theatre Review

Had a great night at the panto with my wife and 2 children

Wonderful venue for west end touring productions. No need to spend a fortune on going to London with this superb theatre so nearby.

Great theatre, hardly a bad seat in the house, and great repertoire of shows

Third year I've taken my family to Marlow. We watched Mother goose. Fantastic performances. Great atmosphere. We will be booking our 4th year very soon. Second row this year.

Wonderful evening, every trip to The Marlowe is wonderful. The staff are friendly and polite and they always go above and beyond to help. The shows are amazing there's always such a friendly and warm atmosphere. Would definitely recommend The Marlowe to anyone looking for a a wonderful night out all year round!!

Always a joy to be in the Marlowe Theatre. We went to see Mother Goose this year and I have to say in the 5 years I have been taking the kids, this was by far the best.

Tickets weren't checked by anyone when we went in so security obviously not high on their list. Seat was comfy but glad I always get an aisle seat as would feel really hemmed in if I was in the middle as the seating is just one long row.

Don't rule out the smaller studio performances, often better than the glitzy main stage performances.

Family friendly and great place to watch shows and friendly staff

First time going. Brilliant ballet and throughly enjoyed it. Suitable for wheelchairs users and toilets available. However I was very disappointed with lack of searing whilst waiting for the show to start. Not enough seating so go early. They do offer a meal deal if you go early but book before you go as very limited seating.... Very expensive so take drinks and eats such as sandwich to eat. But overall good experience.

Lovely Theatre, we watched Motown the Musical, thoroughly enjoyed it

I love this theatre. Really good seating, everywhere I have sat has had a good view. I saw Blood Brothers here and was in seat A1. I could still see the whole stage clearly. I am around 5'8" and didn't have to strain my neck to see.

Staff are polite and helpful.
There are booster cushions available for children and accessible seating for wheelchair users.

Great time at the marlowe again. Just wish the seats were a little wider and there was more leg room. For us tall ones you feel a bit crunched up

Very lovely show. Choreography was good as was the music. Worth seeing

Watched ppa performance of " In The Heights" Josh Maioha as lead male. Absolutely blew the audience away!! Only one criticism...it ended!

I emailed with a complaint in February and no one bothered to respond !

I booked for the 14.30 production on Macbeth. When booking we had no idea that there would be so many schools present at this performance ! Everywhere we could see from our seats were school children. The pupils were very rude talking throughout the performance, laughing loudly at inappropriate times which completely ruined the atmosphere of the performance. I did speak to an usher at the interval but they said there was nothing they could do. We did consider moving seats but they seemed to be spread through the whole theatre - and was worried we would be stuck next to some children being even louder !

Christmas panto..... we go every year and it's always AMAZING!!! Full of laughs and you leave with your cheeks hurting from all the laughter!! Lloyd hollett and Ben Roddy steal the show every year... they're the BEST!! Recommend recommend recommend!!!

The show was good but seating rather cramped, not much leg room.

OMG Excellent theatre had comfortable seat and i Really enjoyed seeing peter pan so funny.

Went to see benidorm live. What a fantastic show. So bloomin funny. Sausage I cider......

went here on my holiday trip to see Derren Brown in 2014, great show!

Saw Jersey Boys here and was impressed with the leg room available and how new and modern it was. Only real place to congregate was at the front as you go in so this gets a bit congested at the start and when you re trying to get drinks at the interval.
Drinks are a little expensive as you d expect.

Very impressed with hygiene notice up in toilets about HAND hygiene and tissues next to bins made you feel better at this sad time x

Wow, such a amazing view and I definitely recommend the ice-cream it is so refreshing when watching something in there, you do need to bring a drink though you can get very thirstyo

Another excellent night. First supper in the Green Room restaurant, and then a performance of Swan Lake in the main theatre. Marvelous.

Play was amazing but need to sort out the doors and at the entrance as the bar area is freezing.

Have been going to the Marlowe since I was younger and before the new version was built. The shows are always amazing, with the venue being clean and comfy.

Nice modern theatre but seats do not have much leg room.

Have enjoyed all the events that I have attended here and have always had a good view from the many different seats that I have sat in. Drinks and snacks are a bit pricey though.

Always a pleasure to visit the Marlowe weather eating or just going to the theatre. Staff are friendly and the place is clean. Central too to close to other great places to visit or stay.

I watched mother goose it was absolutely fantastic!

Bar is expensive and inadequate for the number of people needing served during the interval.Avoid the side seats in the balcony as views of the stage are poor.Otherwise ok.No adjacent parking.

Fantastic shows at far cheaper prices than the West End. Lovely quaint city that never fails to charm

Great theatre with a good selection of shows. Shame not more parking available but if watching a daytime show can use the park and ride if you don't mind the walk through town

Fabulous evening full of fun watching Benidorm. Great cast and entertainment. 5 stars for the Marlow

Great seating layout so the view of the stage isn't obstructed by the person sitting in front of you

AMAZING performances! Never fails to impress. The kids love it ! Would recommend for families with slightly older kids as performances can be quite long bus great!!
