Being from Miami this place makes me want to move to the great North. Then I remember their 7 or so months of cold.... Anyhow, the trails are well kept and we saw chipmunks, ground hogs, black squirls all sorts of colorful birds and bumble bees. Really a nice place to come and have a picnic and read a book. Take bug spray though. Some bite...
Go team i stayed in the car except for th he first floor bathroom
Gorgeous park, with formal flower beds, and paths through hillside forests and along the Huron River.
Great place. Not very pretty in the winter but this is where our daughter was proposed to over a decade ago so we stopped by on our visit at Christmas time. A nice quiet tranquil place that is beautiful in the summer.
Great place to take a hike, bike or just have a picnic
Beautiful park in the heart of Ann Arbor. Great trails and a nice river walk to enjoy.
Beautiful place, so much to do: jog, walk, hike, hammock. Next to the Huron river where one can tube, fish, or kayak. It's peaceful enough for yoga too !
A beautiful place to walk, jog or hike any time of year. Stunning peony garden in June. Walk around. 300 species of trees. Can you find the Cedars of Lebanon?
Great place for a picnic, a relaxing walk or run. It's beautiful.
Gorgeous park. There are so many paths and trails to follow, could spends hours here. There is a river and also wooded areas and open landscapes as well. Such a beautiful place to hike
Very soothing and calming walk through the Arb, it's nice during the early morning hours and during sunset
One of the gems of Ann Arbor, woodland hills following the Huron River with hiking trails, an amphitheater, prairie area, wetlands area, and the largest peony garden I have ever seen. This has to be one of the top City/University parks in the nation!
I actually gave this place 7 stars...don't pass up the arb!!! Peaceful, beautiful, inspiring are some of the best ways to describe it. Come take a hike, bird watch, kayak, lounge, and enjoy friends and family. Dog friendly with a wonderful peony garden that will leave you speechless in full bloom. 4 seasons of wonderful views and sights.
Beautiful park that runs along the river with various spots where you can wander into the river. Some larger trees for those interested in tree spotting. Big open field area near the back of the park.
Great place to have a hike. There are hills, big meadows, hiking trails, running trails. Huron river also goes through the park. You can also enjoy the peony garden in the spring. Overall it's a great place for relaxing.
It is one of Ann Arbor's gems, and perfect to visit in this period of social distancing.
Beautiful trails. Plan to go back to see the peony gardens in bloom
Great place to spend some quiet time or get some fresh air away from the bustle of the city
Had a great walk with our family of four and our puppy. Lots of trails and scenery. We enjoyed the river at the end of our walk.
Love the Arb...Today my wife and I took our grandson (2.8 year old) on a hiking adventure. It was fun and not beyond his ability...
This was a very nice place to go and walk, and see wildflowers. It's all up hill on the way back, a great work out.
This was a very cool place. There is so much to explore. There is a nice area by the river. There are many benches within the Arboretum.
Busy spring day. Have to come back when there isn't still snow from winter
Seamless transition between nature and the City of Ann Arbor. Dog friendly and very well kept up.
This is one of the best parks I've ever seen. A river runs through it. You've got hills, valleys, forests, fields, great trails, and if that's not enough, peonies and Shakespeare!
Beautiful nature trails and public garden space right in the middle of the city!
We went on a Saturday morning on August 31. No flowers were blooming.
Be sure to use this address and not the address for Nicholas Arboretum. Takes you to a dead end in a neighborhood.
Also this is on campus so there are lots of joggers that pass you.
Lastly, keep your damn dogs on a leash like you are suppose to! You are not above the law.
Lovely park with extensive trails of varying challenge, good river views and a nice collection of plants. Great for bird watching. I wish they allowed bikes on the wide flat gravel trail.
The gardens are laid out so it's easy to navigate. I was able to get some beautiful photographs last year to give as wedding gifts. It is a little difficult to maneuver if mobility is an issue.
The only downside was the parking. I really was concerned about the possibility of getting a ticket. Returning tomorrow morning for what will be an annual visit. The flowers are truly beautiful.
Acres of lovely green space, rolling hills, varieties of wildlife, fabulous peony show in Spring, a place to get away in the middle of the day. Large variety of trees, flowers, very peaceful. Much more as well.
Beautiful campus,Must visit Nichols Arboretum, peony garden, art museum, history museum ( will be moved soon outside the campus),a lot of choice for eateries ,Indian restaurants available.
Stunning, breath-taking, picturesque... I could keep going, but suffice it to say, the Arb is a treasure! It's worth the pain of parking
Arb is possibly the best place in Ann Arbor. Multiple trails for a great run/ walk and outdoor activities and picnics
Went when the peonies were blooming. Awesome trails for a beautiful walk. Parking can be tough. Well worth a visit
A beautiful nature-filled paradise in Ann Arbor. Thoroughly enjoyed walking through here while visiting the city. Plenty of well trodden paths, but also some routes to let yourself get lost in the wilderness. I imagine the gardens look fantastic in the spring and summer but it was the autumn foliage in the wooded areas that were on display in October. Very tranquil down by the river, trying to spot (unsuccessfully) the Blue Heron. Feels quite safe in the day with all the students using it for exercising, but could become quite lonely at night.
Worked here for a couple years. Always well kept by friendly staff. This is a great getaway for anyone looking for some solace from the hustle and bustle of Ann Arbor traffic and city life. Beautiful meadow, valley, and river views. Peonies in may and June are world renowned, and education experiences abound!
Great place to stroll around and relax. Many tree and shrub specimens are labelled. You can also use a QR code to discover the multitude of plant life in the arboretum.
A great park w/ plenty of picnicing space & a number of trails w/ interesting nature factoids
One of the most beautiful parks I've ever seen. There's the river, the peony garden, and so many little secret paths through glades and a gorgeous meadow rimmed with tall trees. Magical.
Beautiful sights, great for hiking or just relaxing in a hammock.
Not much in bloom and parking is hit.or miss but the trails are well maintained. I'm sure it's beautiful when everything is blooming.
The hospital treated us with great respect and took excellent care of patient.
Always an interesting place for a walk with friends. Love the peony garden in the Spring; so many flowers!
Love the children's garden here and the staff are so friendly!
A arboretium in an urban location. Great staff who enthusiastically teach and explain about the environment. Lovely place, thoughtfully designed.
Beautiful park in the middle of Ann Arbor. Parking can be a pain, but it's worth it once you find a spot. The peonies bloom in mid May to mid June and they are gorgeous. Great place for taking a walk by the river and enjoying nature.
Doctors and staff are all super nice and helpful. Traffic/parking is kind of a mess from 1-4 but good place overall!
I love the Arb and the Peony Garden especially when it's in full bloom! Great place for families or people looking for a secluded beautiful place to work out.
World class park tucked away right next to the hospital complex. A variety of terrain, fields to hills. Gorgeous views make it easy to forget you're right next to civilization.
The Arb is a living work of art! Several of us were there last night for Shakespeare's 12th Night and even though it rained, the players performed to the end! Thanks to everyone!
One of the best places to take a walk (romantic or otherwise) in town. Starting off the Geddes entrance you get an amazing view of North Campus.
They have a plethora of unique and interesting plant life, the path to the hospital near the Ronald Mcdonald house has amazing flowers.
Down the hill you get a lovely spot near the huron river and great open spaces.
Nice all seasons (although occasionally wet), students abound in the summer doing crazy things from ultimate frisbee to playing the guitar from up in a tree.
UofM has a group that does Shakespeare in the park during the summer. It's also adjacent to the Furstenberg and Gallop park and recreation areas. Great running paths for runners of all types as well.
Fantastic place for a walk, run, stroll, or picnic. We love taking our dogs here and they love all the trails and ground we can explore. Stunning views year round. Some of the trails can get slippery so be mindful of your footwear.
I was there for my son's wedding it was a great outing
Walk, run, crawl or climb get your heart rate up, smell the wonderful conifers, pines, wild flowers and more. Hilly, long winding paths, a time to reflect and center. A hidden oasis in the middle of college town. Don t ask about parking, do the best you can - often a walk. I love the Arb. Breath deep and surround yourself with the vibrations of Nature.
Beautiful place with really nice walking trails (no bikes allowed) that go down to the Huron river.
The peony garden is amazing and beautiful. They are usually in bloom around the first week of June, and it's a must see attraction.
Just beyond the peonies is a fairy garden that's a blast for kids. They can walk through and look at all the fairy houses, and build their own.
Such a treat to experience the peony garden when they are in bloom and fragrant!
