Nicely Done Kitchens Review

We had a wonderful experience with Nicely Done Kitchens. We partnered with them to undertake a major renovation of our outdated and dysfunctional kitchen. Our designer Jackie created a very smart layout that made the best use of our space. Although we didn t increase the footprint, the kitchen feels like it doubled in size. Jackie also led us to beautiful design decisions while making us think they were our ideas. We had complete confidence that Steve and his crew would execute the work to the safest and most professional standards, and our project manager Olivia kept everything on schedule. The new kitchen has improved our quality of life, and now we can see ourselves living comfortably in our home for years to come.

Our designer, Jackie, was exceptional. She created a kitchen space for us that is not only stunning but exceptionally functional. After a pre-COVID visit to our home to get to know us and our stuff, she absolutely nailed the initial design and recommendations for cabinetry, the most amazing quartz countertops, focal tile, backsplash tile, mullion cabinet, and an incredible Kohler Prolific sink (you must have one!). We had a few Zoom calls (while sheltering in place) to make adjustments based on our preferences, and Jackie continued to let her creativity improve the initial plan. Steve and his team executed beautifully on the design, taking incredible pride in their work and ensuring we were 100% happy with the final product. We also enjoyed working with the experts at ADU to select appliances. All of this was accomplished safely during a pandemic which speaks to the professionalism of all involved. Thank you so much!

It has been a month since our kitchen was remodeled and it has changed the whole mood of the house. Everyone we came into contact with was such a professional and did quality work. Our designer Maria was so helpful along the way and really thought of everything.

We LOVE our bathroom. Although we had a few hiccups along the way, we are so happy with the quality of the outcome and the overall design. Maria held our hands along the way and didn't rush us through our design selections. She and Olivia were great communicators over the course of the project. We are so happy!

This review is late in coming. We were told by friends who had their kitchens remodeled, There s always something you wish you d done differently but you don t realize it until after it s done. Well, it s been two years since Nicely Done Kitchens remodeled our kitchen and we can safely say we wouldn t change a thing. We LOVE our kitchen now. They changed everything (floor, cabinets, back splash, appliances) from top to bottom, except our fridge, which was new at the time. They were very professional and overall minimized the pain of reconstruction. Our designer, Nancy Knickerbocker, worked with us, exploring different approaches and helped us achieve a beautiful, innovative, efficient kitchen which is perfect for our needs and adds a lot to the resale value! We wholeheartedly recommend Nicely Done Kitchens.

I needed to replace my kitchen counter top, sinks, and faucets, as well as add a tile back splash, and decided to contact Nicely Done Kitchens after seeing they were recommended on Angie's List. It was a relatively small job (we weren't replacing the cabinets, appliances, or floors), but we wanted professional help rather than doing the work ourselves. I worked with one of Nicely Done's kitchen designers who came up with some great solutions, such as granite composite sinks and faucets I never would have found on my own. Another employee served as the project manager, and she was totally organized and professional. The work was done when she said it would be done, and the quality was impeccable! My husband and I love our new kitchen, and we highly recommend this company. The cost was reasonable, and the two women who worked with us made the process as painless and worry-free as possible.

I went in to the store yesterday because the chain saw I bought a couple of years ago wouldn't start. It turned out to be my own error, but they fixed the problem and explained to me how to avoid it.

Nicely Done Kitchen (NDK) and Bath did an outstanding job on our kitchen/first-floor remodel; a complete transformation! Kate is an excellent designer. Steve (Job Supervisor) and his work crew are trustworthy and customer-oriented professionals. The entire remodel process is clear and straightforward. We were demanding customers and NDK exceeded our expectations. We are very happy with the final result.

My old kitchen had dark cabinets that didn t go to the ceiling, pink tile floor, backsplash with pictures of fruit, and little natural light.

Kate spent hours with me, helping me decide on a new open layout, stunning white cabinets, satin nickel cabinet pulls, spectacular Silestone Quartz countertops, Brizo faucet and Insta hot. She is knows every aspect of designing a new kitchen, she was obviously delighted to help me.

Olivia managed the project once the work started. She maintained the schedule so the job would be completed on time. One night recently, after dark, she brought supplies that the crew needed the next day. Her actions are kind and thoughtful.

Steve Endress has a calm, confident, reassuring presence with a lifetime of experience. When, in the middle of the project, I asked if I could add new heat/air registers, refinish the stairs, he said sure. And most importantly, he hires a great crew, and then treats them well.

Caesar and Jose demolished my old kitchen in one long day. They were careful, and I was able to sell the old cabinets, countertops, appliances. They left the space CLEAN!

Caesar also spackled and painted. I ve hired a lot of painters in the past. Caesar is the best spackler I ve experienced. After a wall is painted, it looks flawless.

Wes, our plumber, installed the faucets, dishwasher and gas plumbing. Before he left, he explained what he did and gave me his business card. He said he was confident that he did a good job, but if there were any issues with gas or water, I should call him. (I didn t need to call!) When, after a few days, my Insta Hot wouldn t turn off, he determined that the part was faulty, installed new one, and called later that night to be sure everything was ok.

Leo and Luis installed a new, beautiful oak floor in the kitchen, and they stripped and refinished the floors in the dining room, back room, foyer and stairs to the second floor. My floors are perfect. The 65-year old floors look new, and new and old match perfectly. Leo sings happily at the top of his lungs as he kneels and does back breaking work. It was a joy to have him in my house.

Nate, the electrician, is able and knowledgeable. He made a lot of changes to accommodate my new kitchen, and he helped us figure out some of the old wiring that was confusing.

James and Travis installed my cabinets and appliances, and James installed all of the floor and ceiling trim. It looks beautiful. They both gave me helpful pointers on my new drawers.

Juan measured and then cut the quartz countertops. They are the icing that pulls it all together.

Joe Hilferty at ADU in Chantilly, opened the showroom just for me, and he spent hours explaining and helping me pick all new appliances.When the refrigerator door arrived dented, and he said, it s under warranty! I ll get you a new one. After the kitchen was finished, he came TO MY HOUSE and gave me pointers on each appliance. He is a special man. Buy your appliances from him!

My kitchen is now the beautiful focal point in my house. I feel incredible JOY and happiness when I am in it. I am so lucky to have met Kate, Olivia, Steve, Joe and the team.

It s hard to know where to begin with so many positive things to say about our experiences with this company! From beginning stages of planning to the ending stages of a beautifully completed kitchen, NDKB has been honest, reliable, fair and extremely detail-oriented. Their products are of high quality and the installation of those products went above and beyond our expectations.
Our designer, Jackie Lluy, took a great amount of time and consideration to understand our needs and wants when we decided to remodel our kitchen. She listened carefully and offered her professional and personal opinions when we asked for it. She was never overbearing, but she always had good ideas and suggestions that enhanced our kitchen design. Her advice was sound; it came from a wealth of experience in design and a vast knowledge of the products that NDKB offers. While refining our design, she accepted and incorporated suggestions made by my adult daughter, who had great vision and forethought. Jackie is truly a team player and worked hard to get it just right .
Jackie understood the construction process and visited our house often to ensure that all details were attended. Although very busy during the spring months, Jackie was available to answer our questions and update us when our timeline of completion changed for reasons outside of her control. Jackie tried to help us stay within our budget by re-using an existing island and when we noticed that it did not flow well with the new cabinets after they were installed, Jackie immediately helped us remedy the situation by ordering a new island cabinet without question or reproach! We were extremely pleased with her professionalism, honesty and integrity and could not have asked for a better designer/planner/overseer for our kitchen remodel. We consider Jackie a true treasure and a now a friend!
Special mention should go to the team of contractors w/whom Jackie worked closely throughout our project to fit the pieces together well. Jackie meticulously coordinated efforts between the specialty contractors so that the production timeline stayed on track and communicated well with us every step of the way. Steve, the contractor s team leader, is of impeccable character, integrity, knowledge and skilled workmanship and organized and led the team of contractors to complete the work on our kitchen in a timely and competent manner. Steve does not suffer fools and works with only skilled, dedicated, competent contractors. His crew did an excellent job and worked diligently each day. In addition to their incredible workmanship, the crew were pleasant people to be around!
It s also vitally important to note that during the spring and summer months, the crew took all necessary precautions to ensure a safe environment during the COVID19 viral spread. When a crew member found that he had been exposed to a friend, who had been exposed to the virus, the crew member was not allowed on any job site for 14 days!
Finally, we felt very comfortable leaving our house keys with Jackie, Steve and his crew to tend to any work that needed to be done while we were away from our house. The entire crew and staff at NDKB are honest and trustworthy!
Our remodeled kitchen is truly our dream kitchen that came to life! We highly recommend NDKB (especially Jackie, Steve and crew ) for your remodeling project!

After 12 years of daydreaming and pinning pictures of what I wanted in a kitchen, Nicely Done got it done for us and we're thrilled with the outcome! There was no pressure to upsell us on things we didn't want and there were no surprises or hidden costs, and they came up with creative solutions when our old house threw us some structural surprises. Very pleased with the whole process.

Our kitchen renovation was a great experience from start to finish and the overall project went very well and finished on time. It included cabinets, counter tops, pantry, electrical, plumbing and painting work. We purchased the appliances ourselves and the only thing retained in our kitchen was the wooden floor.
Maria, the designer, was very professional and helped us with ideas and designs that we wanted to see. Olivia, the project coordinator, and Brian, the subcontractor, were also very professional and very good at coordinating and handling the day-to-day issues that came up during the entire project. This made the experience a pleasant one considering the magnitude of the job. The entire project team was made up of reliable individuals who showed up on time and did what they said they will do. Everyone was very good at their expertise. Our kitchen looks beautiful and we would recommend Nicely Done Kitchens to anyone wanting a quality job at a reasonable price.

Renovations are stressful. Kitchens renovations are really stressful but Kate Couchman and the team at NDK are pros and they made this experience as pleasant as a kitchen renovation can get. We did our due diligence and obtained multiple quotes. Frankly, cost was not why we chose the team at NDK. Unless you are a do it yourselfer or plan to act as the general contractor, the costs associated with a project like a kitchen or bath tend to be relatively similar when you compare bids from similar outfits like NDK. What set them apart was the human factor of the team. Kate Couchman, Olivia Kwon, Steve Endress and their team made the difference and made our experience so painless. Kate is a gifted designer who brought our vision to life while staying on budget. Olivia managed the project insuring deadlines were met, deliveries were on time, and followed up to insure we were pleased with the delivery of our kitchen. Steve Endress and his team of skilled craftsman were on time and took pride in their work to insure all aspects of the renovation were done to perfection. We've had the pleasure of using NDK for our kitchen remodel 10 years ago and more recently 2 bathrooms. We loved working with them! The process was very organized from planning to completion. We loved our designer, Kate, who has a wonderful eye for color and design and listens to your needs and creates a beautiful design. Our contractor and his team were a delight to work with. Our master bath has become a wonderful calming retreat!

We ve used many contractors in the past, but this time, we decided to use one that came highly recommended by a friend instead. And boy, were we glad we did! Jackie, our designer, and Nicely Done Kitchens and Baths (NDKB) are tremendous! We expressed our vision for a new kitchen and Jackie went to the drawing board and came back with plans they were even better! Nicely Done Kitchens did an amazing job on my kitchen! I have a small, 1960's split level home, and it badly needed a new kitchen as well as repairs to the subfloor on the main level. Thanks to Melissa, Steve, Olivia and the rest of the team, the project turned out incredible! We've been so happy with the result and over a year later, wouldn't change a thing. Melissa's patience and creativity, Steve's experience, dedication, and responsiveness, and Olivia's organization and communication made this project come together in a timely and relatively painless way. Steve's team of skilled, friendly and tidy craftsmen were fantastic.

I love Nicely Done Kitchens and Baths. We just completed our renovation of our kitchen and dining room by taking a wall down and taking everything that was there OUT. A lot of work was required and some pretty complicated due to new plumbing lines, lots of new electrical requirements, TV install, new appliances, cabinets, lighting, etc. Although the timelines were a bit longer than was committed (some by NDKB and some by a refrigerator issue that had to be replaced 3 times), I can attest that the workmanship, knowledge, professionalism and joy doing the job was top notch. I trusted every individual who worked on the kitchen...and everyone of the contractors was a skilled person with a can-do attitude and so very kind...even when I was nervous watching all the destruction of what was and the holes in the ceilings and cuts through the floors...all was superior. And let me add that the granite people, the tile people, the electrician and plumbers, the floor people---everyone was terrific! My designer Jackie...made the entire project possible. She has an amazing eye for detail, understood immediately the look we were going for and being a perfectionist that I am, patient in waiting until I found the perfect granite, cabinet color/glazing/distressing. I want to thank Evelyn Nicely who actually came to see the kitchen in its formative state. She is lovely. And Olivia and Steve...just the best people to work with. Thank you NDKB!!! Next project...as soon as we recover from this! And yes it will be with NDKB.

What I like best: The impressive quality achieved by a meticulous design phase followed by a tightly-monitored building and assembly process. The results were truly stunning.

Nicely done kitchens re-modeled my master bathroom and powder room and did an extraordinary job. Working with Cathy and Olivia at Nicely Done Kitchens was a blast, as they always had great ideas to help shape and bring my vision to life (it was like they could read my mind and knew exactly what I wanted after I said Just a few words). If I ever had an issue with the job or A question I could ask Cathy and Olivia for help and it would be addressed immediately. The crew they hired to work on the bathrooms was super nice, respectful of my place, on time, did immaculate work, and always cleaned up after themselves. The final products speak for themselves, and I would gladly recommend and work with Nicely Done Kitchens and Baths again (and probably will).

Did a poor job. Took forever to complete. Never followed up on problems they created. Had to get another contractor to fix a leak they created. Not happy.

Professional designers. Full service showroom. A+ ratings from BBB and Angie's List. Excellent service from start to finish. Over a decade of very satisfied customers.
