Next Door Pub & Pizzeria Review

After having poor food at our resort, we asked the locals about some good food options. This pub did not disappoint! Their spinach and artichoke dip was very good! We also ordered some boneless wings. I was very impressed with the quality of the wings. We ordered a sausage pizza and a mac and cheese pizza. Both were great, the cheese is really good quality. For dessert, we tried the fudge cake and raspberry torte to go. The fudge cake was creamy and delicious. The torte was not appealing. They were very busy but our waiter was attentive. Would definitely go back next time we come to Lake Geneva.

The lasagna and fried mushrooms are delicious. Very attentive staff!

The north shore pizza was awesome. Never had a sauce less pizza, infused with olive oil it was a nice culinary experience. Will definitely visit again when in area. Old school wood burning oven. Friendly staff and good parking.

The food here is good. The service is hit or miss. Usually the place is packed and there are too few waitresses. Most of the waitresses are eager to please and super nice even when they are swamped, but one of the older ones has gotten grumpy, complained to us about her job, forgotten parts of our meals, not listened at all to special orders (sorry guys but not everyone can eat Swiss cheese), or simply left us sitting there forever waiting. After getting sat in her section repeatedly, we took a break and visited other local eateries. Sadly, a 6 month break and waiting until tourist season was over didn't fix the problems. I dont think the food is worth the uncomfortable wait.

This was our first visit to the Next Door Pub and it will not be our last. We are visiting the area and we had an early supper and enjoyed excellent food (personal pizza and the Asian Wasabi Chicken salad.) The service was very good and friendly. Our waitress (Joanie) and the bus girl were very efficient. Highly recommend you make the trip to Lake Geneva and the Next Door Pub!!

That was the worst fish fry I ever had. It was all breading with the tiniest bit of fish in it. I ordered fries with it and got chips. The coleslaw was warm and tasted old I ll never go there again

Best pizza in lake Geneva. Loads of cheese, which is the way it should be in Wisco. This place is a local hang out and a staple of any locals' dining out and ordering out experience.

The food is amazing with great staff!!! We always get Amanda and she is wonderful at explaining what all they have and give recommendations as well as very friendly. We have tried a little of everything wasn t disappointed at all. When you re hungry and want a great price, great food, and great service stop in here.

Went for a garbage pizza..great hadn't had pizza there in a while..great

Food is good, pizza is great. Try the drunken nachos and in my opinion, best club sandwhich aroud. Service has improved, and people who work there are friendly. It's the place locals go to and love. Always busy for dinner, but always worth the wait.

I've been going to Lake Geneva for 20 years and just found this place which has been there since 1973. Its where the locals go and it's amazing. Best sandwiches, pizza and good drinks. A martini is a proper pour and the craft beer selection is amazing. Everything is made from scratch, family owned and ran, and the service is spot on. Do not pass on this spot. It's a must if you are in LG. The home made meatballs and Italian beef are to die for. The pizza is better than the majority of Chicago thin crust. The price points are beyond reasonable. This place blew me away. It's our new spot when we are in from Chicago.

Great food, depending on what you eat. Pizza is always great. RIBS are pretty good, but not each time I have had them. Chicken strips are pretty great. House chili was really good and different. I have eaten there 4 times so far.

Arrived and sat at our booth for 10 minutes before seeing a waitress. Menus were at the table so we read while waiting for service. Waitress arrived and took our orders. I ordered Salmon and my Fiance ordered a 9" pizza. Waited 30 minutes until someone came out to tell us they burned her pizza and were making another one. Sat 20 more minutes and was about to leave when they brought out the Salmon. It was obviously microwaved to keep warm. "Fresh" vegetable salad was badly wilted from the heat. Fish was rubbery and extremely tasteless. No lemon for the fish. Took 2 bites and had to leave for a planned event. Asked for a pizza box to take home and styrofoam was brought instead. No time to eat. Paid for half the meal which was offered by the waitress and left. I have never left a review before. This upset me.

Mozz sticks tasted worse than store bought and the meat on the pizza tasted off as well. Seems like ingredient quality has gone down severely.

Excellent service and food with great atmosphere, visiting from Chicago!

This restaurant definitely had a crowd that they were unprepared to handle last night. We only had about a 10-15 minute wait for a table which wasn't bad. Once we were seated we never saw waitress for at least 10 to 15 minutes. So nothing to drink was given until that time. We then placed our order and we were finally given something to drink and our soup and salad at that time. Then we waited and waited and waited some more and still some more, it took at least 45 minutes to an hour to get a sandwich and a fish and chips order. The waitress also puts a craft of pop on the table so we could Self Serve and she doesn't need to do it. It seems like the kitchen staff were bringing out food instead of making sure that they were cooking food for people. They had one young lady who looked like a zombie walking around asking people for refills and taking plates. So you really never even saw your waitress. And what you go out to dinner for is that personal experience with the waitress to attend to your table. It's a shame because their food is good but it seems like they paid more attention to getting out carry out orders then feeding their people who are setted at tables within their restaurant. The waitress walks around like a deer in headlights. No apology was ever given for the length of time it took to get the food. Nor was anything ever said like it still coming, it's just a busy night nothing but just sitting there being ignored. The table next to us was seated way before us and still they hadn't had their food when we left. The place is very mismanaged and terribly disorganized!!!!!

Has been recently remodeled. Staff was friendly and our server was very attentive. Food was good.

Food, service, prices were good. No matter when I have been there whether summer or winter or wherever we have been seated, it always been uncomfortably warm. Otherwise everything is really good.

Have been coming here since the early 80's! It has ALWAYS been a great place to grab a burger, beer, or a pizza. I love this place.

Online ordering is not available during peak times, staff is pretty darn friendly, inside is nice and comfortable, bar it's seperate from table dining, parking lot kinda sucks but the food is amazing

I was sceptical about all the positive reviews about there pizza. The pizza turned out better than the reviews saying amazing.

Went in at a somewhat of a busy time it seemed. Didn't have to wait for a table though. My wife ordered a pineapple and black olives with no cheese pizza (gross) and I ordered the meat monster with pepperoncini. My pizza came out fine, little dark around the edges which I like. My wife's pizza came out with no cheese but with pepperoni instead of pineapple. We mentioned it, so they took the pizza back. A while later they came out with the right order but undercooked. Entire bottom of the pizza was very pale, and we thought it was a different pizza crust but when we asked they said it's all the same dogs so we asked if it could be cooked some more. It took a while again to get it back, but it was better. Pizza in general was good but not amazing. I also ordered cheese curds but they were nothing like The Old Fashion in Madison. They were pretty hard actually. When we got the check they did take the pizza off and an extra 5$ which was rather generous. We didn't ask for anything so it was nice to see. Regardless, the pizza was wrong, but adequate and service was a bit slow for what seemed like a large wait staff. Still miles better than Bianchi's in Ottawa, IL.

Good food and friendly waitstaff but loud and hard to have a Conversation

Called to place an order for delivery 4 hours later and they said no, I had to take my $100.00 order to a competitor.

This place has not changed in 30+ years, which is a good thing. If anything, the menu seems to have more variety. I recently moved back to the area after a 30 year hiatus. The pizza is the best, the same with large amount of toppings and lots of cheese for the cheese lover in you. We also ordered the BBQ fries with pulled pork. This did not sound good to me, but was really delicious. I will not hesitate to return.

Busy Friday night was worth the wait. Appetizers were excellent and pizza was fantastic. Family friendly place. Service was great as well !

Very Disappointed, our waitress was the only one of the staff who did not wear a mask. All of the seating was appropriate, but not the one who was waiting on us. ??????

Best. Pizza. Ever. An absolute MUST try. Be prepared, it is always packed. Go in early (before 4pm) or call in your order if you don't have time to wait. Favorite restaurant for a reason, if you've never been there you need to try it! :)

Forget that last two star review... Lady be trippin. This is a Pub and pizzeria, and you get what you expect. Great food and an awesome atmosphere. Sorry grandma and grandpa, but your wee little kiddies may be better suited somewhere else. Places like this seem to be fewer and farther between, it's a shame really. It has a very down to earth feel, but far from a hole in the wall. Quite the contrary, it is very clean, service is quick and friendly and overall it seems you get more than you pay for. First time here and I can say I hope it's not my last.

I asked that my pizza be cooked extra brown and it was done perfectly. Plenty of sauce and the sausage is delicious. They make a good drink at the bar and everything is reasonably priced.

The hostesses here are the absolute worst. They are actively rude.

Awesome food...I had beef and sausage and for an appetizer drunken tots....Our server Charlie was very attentive and polite....

The food is so good! Service is excellent - we had 3 employees checking on us constantly. They're busy but the half hour wait for a table was worth it. Seriously, the food is awesome!

We were just out cruising, and enjoying the hot weather, but my wife started to feel faint and dehydrated. We stopped here because of the good reviews and we were not disappointed. The bartenders were very attentive, and hilarious. They were busting each others chops, in the way old friends do. They managed to be entertaining and kept our water glasses full. Many bartenders roll their eyes when you order water , but they made us feel at home. Our Pizza was great, and very generous. We had a 14" Kickin Chicken.

The atmosphere is down home, not pretentious, like much of Lake Geneva.

I don't get to come here often enough. The food is outstanding and the prices are a little less then average. Add the great service and what's not to like?
