The Production I saw was Amazing! This House Can't Stand. It's a lovely house comfortable seating. It's a little out of the way but very nice space. The staff was super nice I only wish there were concessions and a better bathroom.

A modern and well kept theater on Lower East Side with warm greeters, comfy seats and good lights and sound. Conveniently located in walking distance to many bars and restaurants. We enjoyed watching The House That Will Not Stand here.

The experience is different depending on the show. But the theater is nice, the chairs are comfortable and there's virtually no bad seat on the house.

The curator has had some excellent shows lately.

The House That Will Not Stand is a moving, interesting and hilarious piece about a little know part of history. I know many who have seen it MULTIPLE times and I might join them! I think you can rely on New York Theatre Workshop to have something interesting on their stage at all times.

Imagine being in a room with less than 150 people, and if you're in the front row your feet are resting on the stage. Now imagine an A-List actor like Daniel Craig walking up the aisle to do a Shakespearean monologue 8 inches in front of your face. That's new York Theatre Workshop. Well worth the price.

Performance was outstanding but event staff especially the transvestite at ticket booth should lose attitude if they seriously hope for future donations to the theater. The staff call visitors patrons then speak to them and order them around like they are children! Not to mention the horror experience of hauling people like cattle through random parts of theatre then rushing them to use toilets only to walk back into theater and be asked to show tickets for fear of theft during the intermission!

Staff was really rude at the ticket counter when picking up my tickets - must've had a rough day or something. The space and show itself was great! Really like the seating and the stage transitions that are possible. They do a lot for the size of the stage! There's only one bathroom here which led to a pretty long line up after the show was done. Not my fave theatre venue but okay.

The acting is top notch but the shows are usually extremely depressing. My husband and I have had season tickets for the last two seasons but we're not renewing this year (2018-2019) because of the content. Better to pick individual shows that you're interested in.

I didn't love the particular show I saw last time I was there. However, NYTW consistently presents thought-provoking and intriguing theater. It's one of my favorite theater organizations in the city and a great space for seeing plays in.

A great venue to see new plays. They have a history of producing successful and influential new work, and on average, the things I've seen there have been of very high quality with great production values. The staff is friendly and the venue is comfortable. I would see most anything they produce!

A very nice theater experience. The actor was excellent with his 1 man show and minimal props. The plot of the Boarders Play however is lost after the first 1/2 hour. I would love to see it expanded into a full production done as a throwback dream for a guy trapped in a customs cell for 7 hours.
