My family and I stayed for 5 nights. The hotel is in a great location and the staff/service was amazing. For being a 5 star hotel, I expected more... It is pretty standard for hotels to have a coffee maker and provide at least a free bottle of water a day. Instead this hotel charges a arm and a leg for both. We went during basketball and NHL playoffs time, wanted to watch the games at one of the 3-4 hotel bars. None of the bars have a TV. When I asked a bartender if any of the bars had a TV, the response given "This is a higher end hotel so none of the bars have a TV." Soooo higher end hotel guests don't watch TV?

They don't have restaurants that serve lunch and dinner. They do have a restaurant the serves breakfast and really enjoyed the service and late breakfast served. Depending on the day breafast was served until 1230. The restaurant is between the 1st and 2nd floor in which you take stairs to access. Carrying a stroller up and down becomes a pain. The host/hostess stares at you offering no help.

WiFi, most hotels include wifi with your room. At this hotel you have to pay, I believe it was $15 and some change a day for wifi.

With all of that said, Overall the hotel is in a great location, majority of the service was excellent and enjoyed my stay but expected more.

With all of the other options in that area, I won't say I'll never stay again but will more likely go with other options.

I have stayed all over midtown and really like the Palace. Five stars across the board although I wish they offered recycling bins in rooms. If you re not part of the solution, you re part of the problem.

Good hotel...maybe worth the money, but certainly not ranked with the best. Limited amenities, average restaurants, slightly above avg rooms. Only for the inexperienced traveler or for someone who doesn't want to spend $1,000/night but wants a good location. I would not stay there again.

I didn't stay overnight so I can't speak to the rooms. I attended a magic show performance here by the millionaires magician. The interior of this hotel is luxuriously ornate and scream of a whole different time period I'm construction and design. All the surfaces are hand carved. The staff I interacted with were all very polite and helpful.

Big room (for NYC) with a much more relaxed feel than many of the big chains we have used in the past. While the check-in process wasn't a win (wrong room type and a delay while they determined a solution) the results were good enough after a 20 minute delay to be acceptable. The room, while not we looked forward to, did meet our needs. It did have a beautiful view, comfortable beds, and enough space to not feel cramped.
It did seem a bit dated, without any built-in USB port (even most 2* hotels and motels do now) and a bit dated and confusing centrally controled light switch setup that didn't seem to work as expected.
If you want to sleep past 730, do ask for a room away from construction on the lower floor.... guessing the renovations going on one floor below us will shift areas as it progresses.

The Palace truly lives up to its name. A regal residence type hotel that makes your feel part of New York royalty while you stay there. For those looking for a more low key stay, The Palace also offers the best and most amazing stay to help you and your party with anything you may need during your stay.

horrible service and room. i found a lot of the staff rather rude and discriminating and unpleasant. Sadly I'll never go here again. POOR SERVICE, poor standards...furthermore the service, decor, atmosphere was not to a luxury standard.

I had an amazing stay, service was great, the concierge was very helpful and nice, I stayed in an amazing room that was clean, comfy. Location couldn't be better, it was easy to get to, not too busy and it's right in the heart of a cluster of attractions such as the Rockefeller, Central Park, 5th Avenue. Would recommend!

We have stayed here several times and this was the first time we stayed in the Towers. We have always had great stays but the Towers were even better. Clara Law helped us with something we needed and that type of service you can't get just anywhere. Thank you Clara and NY Palace! Great location, great rooms, great staff!

It's such a beautiful place to stay at, and the customer service was amazing. Everyone who works there is so friendly, and respectful. We also ordered room service for breakfast, and dinner which was a great add on. The food was delicious, and tasted wonderful. I can't wait to go back next year.

Fantastic location and ambience. We had superb view over St. Patrick's Cathedral (rear).

Extremely helpful staff. Mini fridge provided at no extra charge. Issues and requests dealt with promptly and accurately. Left luggage facility.

Amazing brunch at Villard and Pomme Palais do good coffee and tea plus patisseries at not much more then the nearby Pret or Starbucks.

Only gripe is the WiFi. It isn't free and cost $15/day although that does allow 5 devices to connect. However, there is free access to computers and a printer to allow you to do an online check-in for your return flight as well as printing off the boarding passes.

Would gladly stay there again.

The service was really good. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The manager, Miles Gomez, upgraded our room with a really fantastic, beautiful view of St Patrick s cathedral and was really helpful. Definitely would recommend and when I return will come back again!

This was our first time staying at the New York Palace...usually stay at the Waldorf Astoria...not very pleased overall and would only rate it a 2.5. We had a very noisy room due to a plumbing issue, had to deal with an extremely rude car More

my wife and I went to see Steve Cohen's Chamber Magic at the Palace. The hotel is so beautiful, that we decided to stay the night. I would definitely recommend staying here. What an elegant, beautiful place. It's like going back it time. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, and much larger than I though it would be. We had a beautiful view of the cathedral across the street.

Rooms are not well insulated, you can hear every drawer sliding open in the next rooms. Rooms are spacious but outdated. Okay views. Recommend staying in cheaper but newer hotels for the rates here.

The Palace is always inviting and accommodating. My family had an especially nice stay recently due to the diligence of Jimm Kalinka - Towers Guest Service Agent. Jimm was very helpful in securing our request for a high floor in The Towers.

We visit The Lotte New York Palace twice a year and would recommend this hotel and the service provided by the staff, especially Jimm Kalinka.

As I was walking by this historic hotel, I stopped to take pictures. A gentleman employee, Maurice, was standing by the entrance and offered me a tour, because of my interest.

I was able to view several of the public rooms, and was amazed at the oppulence of this grand hotel!

Thank you Maurice! You are an exemplary representative of the Lotte Palace!

Very well located. Metro nearby. Room very good. We were in the towers and the view was superb. By cons absolutely avoid breakfast. Had taken a French breakfast. Expensive and in terms of quality does not even get to the level of a restoroute. The staff is kind and attentive.
