The Pearl Room, Brooklyn, NY Review

More like ZERO stars. The best thing this restaurant can do is close. My sister went to this restaurant tonight for valentine's day. She waited an exaggerated amount of time to get seated and served. But that's not even HALF of it. When she finally got her food, she started eating and felt something that was NOT food in her plate. When she takes it out, it was metal, little parts of metal were IN her food. What type incompetence level do you need to have to get metal scrap inside your customers food. And then the waiter had the AUDACITY TO SAY "I'LL GIVE YOU $20 OFF" Absolutely not. Insult to injury? Do NOT go to this restaurant unless you want to come on here and write about how you coughed up a cockroach or something.

I did my daughters baptism a month ago and the service was great they attend to all my guest and where very lovely to all.

Very elegant. I lwas ook for a space to keep a function unfortunately the party room was too small and other space was to big. So I was not able to book the space . The menu had plenty of choices

Stopped in for brunch on Saturday. Food was awesome and the great atmosphere was only enhanced by our host and waitress Ziggy. I'm so glad we went!

Great place with excellent food & service. Wonderful menu. Manger is fantastic. It's a 10 star restaurant.

The service and food were amazing. Ziggy is the best waitress around. Truffle purses are to die. We always go afterwork and we are never disappointed!

Came here tonight for dinner with friends. The food is incredible and the portions are generous! Really nice restaurant with a tremendous causal dining experience. Would come again. Our server Ziggy was incredible and really nice! Im so glad we came here. Thanks pearl room staff!

One of the best restaurants in New York. Service is fast and attentive. The place is lovely with a beautiful skylight in back. The food is fantastic -- everything from delicious pasta to a savory turkey dinner on Thanksgiving. Owner is friendly and easy to talk with. A wonderful experience!

We had a baby shower here. It was small and intimate I must say the food was completely amazing. We had no complaints at all. We decorated how we wanted too. The manager always asked if everything was okay and even checked on us occasionally. This is a great place to hold an event

Had a great time there. The Pearl room has a bar, restaurant, and dancing area. It was very clean and the workers are very friendly.

My experience here was fantastic service was fabulous and the owner was very attentive.

I had my wedding there and I cannot express enough how disappointed my now husband and I were. The staff were pleasant but we got nothing we were promised by the owner himself. The set up was NOT what we had discussed and the food was served super late. We did not get our first dance because the music set up was horrible nor did we get to even cut our cake because the main course was not serviced till after 10pm in which guests were already leaving. I had to tell them to take the cake and just cut it. The ONLY good thing I can say about this place is that the room available to rent is beautiful. That's it. I will NOT recommend this place if you are an organized individual who wants to have a nice wedding reception dinner (food was just okay). They were NOT ready/prepared for a larger group. I look back on this day with so much regret and disappointment It makes me want to cry. One advise I can give anyone who is thinking of having their wedding dinner here is to RUN!

One of the best Italian restaurants in Brooklyn New York, I had a shower and I must say every guest of the party including myself stated the food was great, delicious and the service very on point,

Don't waste your time here. Good food bad management. The waiters look scared of there boss. We was dining in and then was gonna join the dance area when the owner or manager there closed the wall. We couldn't hear the music and was cut off from the other side/view. Felt unwelcomed and my family felt the same way.

The Pearl Room is a bar and restaurant on the nearly famous 3rd Ave. in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. The owner is a standup guy, and runs the business well. The program has been in business longer than I have been in Bay Village. The waitstaff is friendly, experienced (and attractive, I might add). they have a happy hour I believe it's from four to six every evening or five to seven nightly.

Great place great food great owner would definitely recommend it to anybody I know

The owners here are so cool, down to earth and very welcoming...I haven't had their food, but attended an award ceremony for an old time friend. It was awesome.

Good food and good atmosphere for a clean and friendly Brooklyn restaurant that does not skimp out on anything! I went for drinks and restaurant week and have no beef with them! Check it out if you are in the hood!

I was there for a baby shower lunch and while the food was decent the room was freezing cold. We told the staff that the room was cold and they told us that their thermostat was at 84 degrees. I do know from a few several past experiences that this restaurant does not like to keep their place warm. It is always cold when I go in there. Despite being a classy nicely decorated restaurant, management is going to have to fix their heating system or I won't be back. The food is not that good to sit in the cold. It makes the food cool down even faster.

We had a private party with ten people, and had a private room. Everything was okay, but the guy who was our host (maitre d'?) was pretty rude, and made absolutely no attempt to try and hide his annoyance at various things. I know it's not an easy job, but we really weren't being difficult, and besides, don't work in hospitality if you can't at least fake being nice.

The food was WAYYY to expensive and It tasted average.

Recently moved to new location a few blocks away from the original. Relatively upscale for the neighborhood. Still very good food, good service, reasonable prices on the entrees. Clean. A little noisy,perhaps. The seafood paella was excellent. Good for special occasions.

My daughter had her wedding reception at the Pearl room. The food was fabulous, and the service was superb. It was a fantastic party thanks to Ziggy and wonderful chef's at he Pearl Room.

Mixed review. Looks nice. DJ music was fun. Not sure what was going on in the kitchen and with the serving staff. They did not seem experienced. We were basically the only people in the dining room for the most part. Party of 16. And still, we had keep asking for basic things like water, salt, pepper. Utensils. Food came out all different times. Staff kept reaching over us to hand food to people on the other side of the table. Couple of dishes had to be returned. Errors in the bill. Pleasant staff , I think they just need some proper training. Maybe watch those shows in TV that help restaurants.

We have been going here for years and have had many parties. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Vlada and Victor are the best bartenders, very friendly and welcoming. The owner is kind and treats everyone like family.
Last and mist importantly the food is always delicious and fresh, some of my favorites are the empanadas, lamb chops, and best penne with vodka sauce.

Very disappointing experience . They only had a pre fix menu since it was mother's day. The selections were not of a wide variety. The serivice was not existent. The protion size was tiny for appetizer. The crab cake was a size of a quarter. Main course was decent portion but it was obviously prepared hours earlier and the side vegetables were cold. Dessert was very tasty however again the portion was a half of a cheesecake. In summary got overpriced meal with horrible service and half portion appetizer and dessert.

Just had an amazing experience tonight at The Pearl Room. From delicious appetizers like the bacon wrapped shrimp and calamari, entrees consisting of Sea Bass, Chicken wrapped in Bacon w/ maple potatoes, and then ending the night with some coffee and truffles. Not only that but everyone here is so kind, friendly, and makes you feel so welcome. Huge thank you to our waitress Ziggy who made the night very entertaining, and helped us with suggestions. If youre ever in Bay Ridge, please check this place out!

Great food. Yummy sangria. Nice atmosphere & decor. You can tell the owner & chef care for their customers. Pleasant experience..would def go again & highly recommend!

I've been going 2 the Pearl Room over 15 yrs, they've moved 3 times and it's just not what it once was...menu selections have been cut back, still very good...less glam, still good, not the Pearl Room of the past though...

went there for the first time for a bday party had a good night the owner is one funny dude had us laughing...he was very involved with our group... good place to have dinner drinks and a bit of dancing

this place was very mediocre and had trouble getting around but in all the service is amazing tireice was a great bartender and hope to see her again

My husband and I just left that restaurant we were so looking forward to having dinner in this restaurant. We got seated and the waitress came ten minutes later took our order. 15 minutes later they bring out the drinks. Then we wait 35 minutes and they still haven t even bought out the appetizers. I tell the waitress we still haven t gotten anything she said ok hun it will be out it s almost out. I said ok waited another 15 min. Then I asked someone else I told him we still haven t even gotten our appetizers and we been here for 45 min. He was shocked. And went to see what was going on. He comes back and says ok what would you like? My husband and I said we already ordered he said can you tell me again? We said no we been here for an hour and haven t gotten anything . As we got up and walking out the same waitress manager says please don t leave. We explained how long we have been sitting waiting for our food. And she says because we make everything fresh. My husband then tells her it doesn t take that long to bring out appetizers. She says oh you ordered appetizers? She goes oh no I forgot. We then just walked out. It s a pretty place but service is a big fat NO.! (Mind you the restaurant was not even busy)

The good is pretty good BUT...

We were a party of three but the restaurant was almost entirely very large parties. There were 6 tables of 5-15, and an equal number of small tables. Not a place to go for a date or intimate dinner with friends.

We were expecting more of a fine dining experience, this was like being in the middle of a wedding. .

It was noisy and servers and waiters were rushing around, bumping into us. We were seated then asked to move to make room for a large party. Service was slow and inattentive. When we ran out of white wine, a server brought us a bottle and told us he put it in the bucket to chill for s bit because it was not quite cold. Side dishes were not ready before we finished dinner so we cancelled them.

We couldn't wait to get our check and get out of there.

Atmosphere it s ok . Kitchen terrible . Food for pigs . Meat thawed in the microwave. They do not even know what is that mean stake meat . Restroom is clean . Servis is great 5 star . Valet parking also great . Restoran cant mix fish & meat together. Portion are huge . Never again . Money to trush & waist my time .

Went for a date, was immediately greeted at the door with a handshake, very respectful and courteous, the kind of thing you never see anymore. The service was great and it was not busy at the time. We got the steak and the salmon and both hit the spot. The atmosphere was chilled, music playing but not too loud, we enjoyed good convo. Portions are good and the price is normal. Looking forward to another visit

I had the pleasure of hosting and attending a baby shower at Pearl Room. The whole experience was great! Ziggy was very welcoming and made sure our party was a success. The food was plentiful and delicious. Our guests left very happy with their bellies full ;) Thank you Pearl Room!

We had a party in this restaurant unfortunately I can say was a big disaster, ..... disorganized they put the tables too close together you couldn t get up , no one could pass between the tables people had to get up in order to let someone pass ....the waiters had a problem with putting food on the table it was not enough food on the table the food was not that good , there was supposed to be A bottle of wine on table but it was messing ...i and we kept asking for the wine , we swait about an hour to get A glass of wine.... would never recommend this restaurant to have any type of a party or Family gathering ..... The manager and the waiters we re not pleasant all helpful When we complained .....

Nice place, we had a new waiter! I think it was his first night! He wasn't the sharpest tool in the box. But he really tried hard. Food was good. Atmosphere was alright I guess. It was the birthday celebration of my significant other. All in all we all had a nice time.
