New York Palace Hotel Review

Sophisticated and very well located, overlooking Saint Patrick Church renovated.

Had the pleasure of staying at The Palace for 3 days just during Thanksgiving of 2011 due to the special rate they offered. Our standard room, in the main building, overlooked St. Patrick's Cathedral. It was traditional, yes, but updated spacious and comfortable. I was delighted and would recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with Molton Brown soaps and shampoos in their bathrooms. Beautiful place to stay around the holidays and has a magic show every weekend!

A little old but luxurious and the night view is good.

Location is perfect and the name is perfect as a plaza but it has no feature in luxury. It looks like a 4 star so so business Hotel. Not even a coffee port is in the Hotel room and there are no complmentary water everyday. Whenever you ask for something tou have to tip. Room is clean but the bathrooms looks quite old. For this brand name I expected more. What I really did not like is the worker's uniforms. You can easily see how old those uniforms are and they looked in that uniform somehow not well treated. Staffs were very helpful and kind but Hotel should take more care on each one's uniform. Lotte should keep the quality as it used to be.

Good hotel with one blip
This is a good value hotel in New York if you get a deal. The rooms are huge with dressing rooms and well appointed bathroom with walk in showers.

Concierge was average and had mixed experiences and the hotel car was never available (tried 5 times).

A colleague was incorrectly charged for a previous guests valet which he was lucky to spot on the bill.

Hotel porters lost my luggage on checkout for land took a panicked 20 minutes to locate it which wasn't a good experience - they were pretty useless and I would never leave my stuff in their care again.

Beautiful Hotel. Very welcoming staff. Elevators slow and difficult to use when transitioning to flights 2 and 4.

My family and I stay here at least ten times a year. Great rooms and staff.

Opulent. Pristine. Suite has all the bells and whistles. Covid sensitive.Unparalleled service. George the doorman and Diego the Concierge deserve special recognition. They are extraordinary. My favorite NYC hotel.

I booked the biggest suite available for our anniversary at Lotte New York Palace and upon arrival was told I was being put in a room 1/5th the size and would be required to pay the same price. The room I booked was "not available". No apology was given and no attempt was made by the staff to remedy the situation. We opted not to stay here and recommend other's do the same.

We went here for our honeymoon, the hotel is very impressive, the staff are lovely. The rooms are huge, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are real stone, the air con works and isn't loud. The downsides are few but worth mentioning. There are no in-room facilities to make yourself hot drinks and no restaurant option for evening dining, which seemed very peculiar as there is 24 hour room service which is excellent. The hotel bars are excellent, especially for cocktails but very pricey. I guess you can expect that. I'd say this is very nearly a 5 star destination save for those few shortcomings

We were here for a conference. Agree with all the ratings. I also very-much appreciate and commend their head banquet server, Constantine, and their chef (so sorry couldn t recall his name!) who made sure I always had non-dairy options for all the meals served in the 4th floor ballrooms, which were excellent.

Slightly aged interior, but friendly service and good hotel bar. Conveniently located close to the Theater district.

Very nice building/facilities/location, but $15 a day for Wi-Fi and a fee for simply storing your own things in the bar fridge is absurd for a "luxury" hotel. The waiter was quite standoffish when we went down for a snack.

They don't leave this place for the cars to park, also when somebody dropped off same thing

Susan at the Towers Guest Services Asssisant table was INCREDIBLY RUDE to me. Condescending, stuck up, really a terrrible person to interact with... not sure how she got a hospitality job. I am honestly a very kind person, and was nothing but pleasant to her. She was terrible, and totally ruined my experience. I have to say Vinmore at the Towers Concierge was very kind and almost made up for it. BUT she is is horrendous and should be let go. The one star is for Vinmore

Personally, I thought it was over priced for what it offered. Room looked very rudimentary/basic/old. I'll definitely try another place on my next trip to NYC. Location is fab in all fairness and the View we had from the 22nd from was great. Back of St Patrick, close to time square, etc... I guess that's what you're paying for.

Hotel located in downtown New York, Sercanos to very interesting places in this part of the city, it is beautiful, much luxury and comfort; Its price is not very accessible.

So beautiful and elegant. Just how I like it. it fits my taste. Very luxurious. It was my first time coming to this hotel for a relaxing birthday getaway. And it was amazing experience. Highly recommend this place.

Great hotel, both classical charm and modern services

This has become one of my go-to hotels in Manhattan over the past couple of years. I recommend staying in The Towers on the top 14 floors of the main building. Be sure and check out Palace Hour at 5:00 PM each evening.

Stayed here December 20th-22nd, my husband and both my boys loved it as much as i did. My only reason for not giving a 5 star, was the weight in the lobby to check in, and when i finally got to the Lady that was checking us in, she didn't know when one of the activity I was interested in was. Other than that, i lover every minute at this hotel.

Awesome location, very friendly staff, the lobby is absolutely gorgeous. But I don t think I will stay here again because I felt like the carpet in the room was exceptionally very dirty! The beds or weren t that bad a lot of pillows which is cool . TV remote was difficult to maneuver but I guess that s expected for hotels and of course the selection channels were limited . It s definitely not an excellent hotel it s just A good Hotel

This hotel is THE place to stay to make your visit to New York the perfect holiday to remember This hotel is in the best location for sight seeing with the Rockefeller center only minutes away and 5th avenue just round the corner
They have lovely large suits and cosy smaller bedrooms, Both lovely. They don't have a dinner restaurant but do have room service.
I personally love this hotel with all the staff so lovely and kind it really makes you feel right at home. I have stayed here a few times now and not once was I disappointed. Can't wait to come back

The Trunk Club inside is beautiful, serene, and filled with goodies.

We just returned from a 4 night stay. First, this is the best hotel in the city! The view is incredible and the location is the best! New everything and very near the two best subway stations to get up and downtown quickly. I called and told the manager it was a special occasion and they went the extra mile. The staff is very friendly and I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. This was my forth stay and I will keep coming back. No need to try other hotels as I have stayed at over 15 different NYC and none compare!!!!!

We stayed in the Towers. We were offered a free upgrade, and the suite is beautiful!

beautiful christmas tree but the building wa under construction... we were possible to check in early which was good but the next day there was no towel refilled.

There was no hot water to take a late night showe last light.

The house keepers woke me up by knocking on sunday at 9am and when I talked to the receptionist and all she said was to put the do not disturb sign out next time. No apology or anything. "Its their policy" to have the house keepers disturb their guests early.

Not only do you have to pay for the internet after paying a high room price at a "high-end" hotel in 2018 in NYC, but it doesn't work. I've been waiting for over an hour after calling the front desk and their IT Hotline and I still cant connect to their overpriced internet.

This was our first stay at The Palace and we won't stay anywhere else in NYC. On top of the best location and beautiful rooms, the staff was out of this world. They knew the names of our children, served wonderful food, and they even carted our bags 2 blocks to the Uber when the streets were closed down for St. Patrick's day parade.

Below average experience. Stayed one night the washroom smelled awful like someone urinated the entire washroom. As I was checking out, I mentioned my horrible experience but, they did not really care. No recommended.

Our stay was excellent. The staff was very kind and accommodating to our needs. The rooms are well-kept. The view of Central Park is quite breathtaking. Food was also very good. The fitness center had the right amount of equipment. This is highly recommended!
